We paid him the $65 and he told us to take it up with corporate (we will be) and kept saying how nice he was and we shouldn't be angry. The piercer had the nerve to want a tip after this interaction. For someone with metal allergies, this is a serious and potentially harmful. As for the manager -- he was rude when we walked in, didn't say hello and just asked if I had an appointment, but that paled in comparison to how he treated a grandmother who had come in excited to wait for her daughter and granddaughter for the little girl's very first ear piercing. He was really rude to her, and that's not okay. That's a memory-making moment for a family, and she deserved so much better than that.

But I feel like the price is worth it because they are super sterile, surgical-grade, extremely knowledgeable in any piercing placement, and seem like they have many years of experience, no matter which piercer you go to. She's a good human being who is good at what she does and coincidence didn't just bring me there, it was meant to be. The studio accommodates four artists/chairs at one time and is clean. The other staff I met there, as well as the owner (woman owned business), were equally kind. Because I walked in, spur of the moment, I chose a small, but somewhat detailed firefly to be tattooed above my ankle bone on the inside of my leg. She was quick, efficient and skilled. If I lived in NYC, I would hire her to tattoo me again.
