Austin sent me a quote recommended replacing the air-conditioning unit for $12 to 14K depending on the chosen unit. He said I could "get by" for now with a new drain pan and resealing the ductwork for $2647. I called the outfit that replaced everything 10 years ago who said NO WAY the AC unit needs to be replaced. Their quote for a new pan, drain and resealing was $800. So far, the re-pipe is up to snuff. but I don't trust these guys. If you call them for any work, be sure to get a second opinion.

They have a $39 fee for an appointment (between 8-5) or $59 for a 2 hr window (8-10). They called about 45-60 min before they arrived and their office sent a text with a picture and short bio of the technician. Technician showed up during the window promised (9ish), troubleshot the problem thoroughly explained issues, showed me options and installed new hot water heater pretty quickly. Plumber was friendly, polite and explained what the problems were before the repair. Very happy with completed job. I will call them in the future
