What a great place to get bubble tea. We were there at 8:30 PM on a Friday night and let me tell you, this joint was hoppin'! Lots of families with little kids, groups of friends, people alone or with a date, and DoorDash orders, and the employees were keeping up with all of it! They ran out of the tapioca pearls and politely explained it would take 20-30 minutes for the next batch to finish cooking. In the meantime, we could get drinks without the pearls or with popping pearls instead, or with milk foam or jelly. The staff is so friendly, fast, and helpful. Gong Cha gives lots of flavor, add-ins, and toppings options to choose from, and the combinations are infinite.

The milk tea in my car cup holder...

Got a cracked cup. The milk tea leaked all over my car cup holder and left some stains on my dress. I went back to the store and asked the stuff to change the cup and refill it again. First, the stuff was changed the cup but she was unwillimgly to refill it. I finally got the refill, but she gave me the full of icecubes and very little tea. The icecubes were filled more that half of the cup. I paid for almost 9 dollars for it.

Finally a bubble tea place within 15 mins of drive! Much awaited bubble tea brand which I only saw in NYC is here to stay in NJ. I always gravitate towards milk tea and I did order one , but I also tried the lychee slush which was amazing ! Prompt service and great drinks! Place is located within the strip mall close to the famous Thai place as well as the newly opened Sushi joint! This was my post dinner dessert after eating at Ryujin. This cute shop across from the library is going to be a must go hang out for teens as well as all bubble tea lovers!

Nice clean place, consistent quality drinks, but can't stand the electronic tip beggar.

Even though the place was busy, the quality was great and consistent to the flavors I'm accustomed to at other Gong Chas.

(My fav color) Tons of ube and pandan and coconut goodies that go beyond your basic desserts, it truly was so hard to choose. My family doesn't eat eggs and I wanted to bring back something for them and the girl at the counter was extremely friendly and helpful at directing me towards suitable desserts. Also love that it seemed like a small family owned operation I opted for the calamansi drink which was perfect for a 90 degree spring day and a pandan coconut pudding to bring home. I wish the pudding was a bit less sweet (I tend to dislike overly sweet things) but overall, this is the most extensive filipino dessert place I've found in the tri- state area and I will be back if I'm around somerville again

Everything here is lovingly crafted by Kathy, the owner, who makes items from scratch, including their ice cream. You can truly taste the difference: fresh ube, no artificial flavors. Just pure goodness. Kathy and her husband take great pride in their Filipino menu, offering a variety of delightful treats centered around the beloved purple yam. Now, you might be wondering, what exactly is ube, and why is it so popular? Contrary to popular belief, ube isn't a fruit. It's actually a purple sweet potato that's highly sought after in the Philippines. If you love taro, you'll love ube even more. It's a staple in many Filipino desserts and dishes, known for its rich flavor and vibrant color. If you're in search of delectable drinks and cookies, this is your spot. Their signature ube drinks range from floats and lattes to coffees, milk teas, and even ice cream. All with delicious bits of real ube in every sip. Not in the mood for ube? No problem. They offer a wide variety of options, including their Pinoy series, pandan drinks, Milo drinks, matcha, cold brews, and more. And I have to mention, they now serve Vietnamese coffee, Filipino-style. It's pure heaven in a 16 oz cup. The shop itself has great lighting, perfect for IG, Yelp photos, or even vlogging. Just note that seating is very limited.

I was so happy to see that she offered a variety of flavors for cakes especially Ube macapuno. We ordered a 8x5 round Ube macapuno cake with Ube buttercream filing and macapuno strings. My gf was in charge of getting the cake which she ordered from Sweet New Creations. The Mommy To Be is a huge Harry Potter fan & I honestly wasn't sure how we would incorporate this theme into a baby shower but we did and boy oh boy was the cake out of this world! The details were amazing! The little baby cake topper was so cute, and they gave instructions on how to keep her (to dry her out) which the mom will do. The cake not only looked amazing it tasted delicious also. Often so many of the ascetically nice looking cakes don't taste so good. In this case it was a win win all around. I usually just have a bite of cake to taste it as I am not a dessert eater but I ate the entire piece. Definitely will go there for cakes in the future!
