Somewhere on social media, my wife saw a picture of this cafe next to a stream. On a sunny April Saturday morning, we took a drive to Clinton to see this place for ourselves. It was just as nice as the pictures. Located on the corner with a stream and single lane bridge next to it, this was a great spot to enjoy a drink and a pastry. My wife's Matcha and my Chai Tea Latte were delicious. My homemade cinnamon scone was also very good. If you live nearby or just want a nice stop off I-78, check this cool cafe out! read more

What a cute coffee shop. The place is so welcoming with little nooks to sit in and the offering is away from all that. I was welcomed in by the young na behind the counter and he took my order. I opened for the butternut squash soup and the matcha lavender haze latte. Everything was so yummy. The soup was a little thinner than I expected but it was still good and had a little kick to it. Tried this coffee shop on windy Saturday afternoon . Little space with few seatings inside as well as outside. Stayed longer inside because of the weather. Had the organic Americano coffee, cafe latte, croissant and lemon blueberry loaf. They're all good and prices are not too expensive . Place gets packed and busy specially in the afternoon when we visited the place. Our server Kayla was very nice, pleasant and hospitable in suggesting as well as answering questions about their products. Good customer service and tried taking some pictures outside overlooking the river. If not of this windy weather, outside seating is the best. Definitely will be back. read more

Cozy, small cafe with seating indoors and outdoors. Small menu of hot and cold beverages. I liked my Rivertella with decaf and nutella. Ghirardelli Hot Chocolate with whipped cream was good but slightly sweeter than I wanted. Got some grilled cheese paninis- good for a small bite. Some baked options as well. Service was pleasant when ordering. Finished drinks were called out but for some reason, they didn't when our food was ready. We had to ask bec we noticed them on the counter. Not wheelchair accessible bec. of narrow entryways and steps. Restroom is located in the building behind it (no signage but near entrance to River Mill View restaurant). Located on the small Main St area, with views of the Clinton Mills Dam; near the Hunterdon Art Museum, Red Mill Village, Lowthorp Truss Bridge and other small businesses. Beautiful location and cute shop! The staff was very friendly. I got a coconut pie latte and breakfast panini. The food and drink were pretty tasty. My only qualm is that the coconut pie latte had chunks of coconut in the drink which was a bit weird having to chew through while drinking. Definitely a go to place for the fall vibes thirsty neck walks stores that are all connected to the café as well as a nice restaurant in the back there's free Wi-Fi and ample seating for anybody who is working remotely or just watching Netflix! The Stone Bean features scenic views of the iconic Clinton Red Mill, and a nice ambience in the indoor dining room with cool paintings on the wall (for sale). The breakfast panini was not very good with plastic-like eggs that were oversalted. The pumpkin spice latte tasted like a generic latte - it was nothing special. Overall, the menu prices are very inflated. Then, they asked if you'd like to add a 20% or 25% gratuity to your bill. It really shouldn't cost $30 - $40 for breakfast for two at a casual coffee shop. But then again, the view of the Mill may be worth it. Overall, I wasn't very impressed. read more

Super cute inside and was quick ordering. I got a strawberry cream chai and my mom got a blueberry chai. The brown sugar taste of it was nice and I love the matcha in my drink. Super cute, if I lived closer it would be a normal spot for me. We also got the chicken bacon ranch panini and it was "sinfully good" according to my mother. A true small batch coffee toaster cafe with a million dollar view of the Moll and dam outside their location. The coffee was authentic and fresh, a nice lingering smooth mild taste. A quaint coffee shop near the water. I had their veggie egg white and cheese sandwich and loved it. I also ordered crumb cake and taro bubble tea. The crumb cake was okay. I've had better from delis but it did not taste bad. I think maybe the crumb to cake ratio was off. Overall wonderful experience and I will be returning. read more

I love the coffee and boba tea. The cold brew is awesome. The location is perfect! Beautiful scenery. Little difficult to park and pick up a quick drink. Since it was a nice fall day when I stopped by, obviously I got a pumpkin spice decaf latte w almond milk. It was so frikkin good. The baristas seemed to have a good system down with orders, paying, then calling out the order when it was ready. Seemed busy, but flowed. It was also right against the river outside which was peaceful and so cute. read more

This coffee shop is located directly across the street from another coffee shop but, we come here most often primarily because of the ambiance. The building is older (like many of the buildings in Clinton) and they've kept a lot of the charming details that make it feel cozy like pine hardwood floors, lots of wood trim and a fireplace. It feels like you're visiting someone's 19th century home when you're there. Of course none of this would matter if the coffee wasn't delicious and the staff wasn't friendly. On our most recent visit, my daughter and I got peach and honey boba tea and I got an herbal tea. Blue and yellow lavender was the herbal tea recommended to me and it was delicious. My daughter likes the boba tea here because it is not sickeningly sweet. read more

GOOD COFFEE, WILL TRAVEL! Recently I made the hour and a half long trek to visit Clinton, NJ. Tiny towns which dot along the Delaware River offer the best experiences of independently owned storefronts while getting in your daily step count. Upon crossing over the little bridge this coffee shop got my attention! It sits right on the river, set up with metal tables and chairs. Upon entering you are greeted by two parlors anchored with their own fireplace. The counter is wedged in between the two rooms. The baristas were welcoming upon entry. They have an extensive menu with coffee, espresso, cold brew, flavored syrups, pastries and lunch offerings. I ordered a cold brew with oat milk and lavender syrup; the brew was well balanced, medium bodied. I sat in one of the parlors as it was too chilly for patio seating that day. Overall, I'd recommend The Stoned Bean for its product, ambience and friendliness. Looking forward to returning in warmer weather! read more

Happy Saturday fellow Adventurers! I dropped by here for something warm when I took a few photos of the Red Mill Museum on a very windy and cold day. I'm glad I did because inside the place is so cozy, with the crackling fireplace and welcoming staff. I ordered the large hot chocolate with marshmallows and my friend ordered the hot cider. Both were wonderful and great to warm us up from the cold. The town looks like a cute place during the warmer months, very much like the Gilmore Girls Stars Hollow. I would love to come back during the spring/summer to explore more, and hopefully the museum will be open. I've done a wedding on the property in the back of the museum and that was so beautiful! It did happen to rain during the vent so mudding is always an issue, but still I'd recommend this as a wedding venue. read more

Myself, along with three others I went with, all agree that the drinks were poor. The cappuccino was totally flat (had no foam), and the Grinch latte was very weak and tasted like milk.
