Read this review if you care about drinks... I don't mean to be a Karen but every time I go into their establishment they never do what I ask. I ask for mango popping pearls with strawberry pearls and they only give strawberry pearls . When I asked for the most simplistic request apparently they can't do it. I asked for a strawberry lemonade with sparkling water which is easy and yet they can't do it. The weirdest part is if you ask one of the others guys that work there they will do it. Very cute business with throwback video games! This was my first visit so I did ask a couple of questions of the cashier and she was very helpful. Unless you were searching for this place, it's pretty easy to miss. A lot of the stores in this shopping center has red font store signs and it can be easy to read over it. But!!! If you are lucky and are in need of boba you'll be so happy to have found this place. the interior is very cute and different compared to other gong cha, I feel like they put more effort into entertainment and aesthetic. There is a kiosk to order drinks available as well as the cashier. I got the mango green tea with cold foam smoothie- no sugar (0%). Thought this drink was PERFECT for this scorching weather. Popular bubble tea franchise with international locations, quality of drinks here are up to par, but what gives this location the 5th star is classic 90/ arcade games like The Simpsons and Mortal Kombat which you can play at no charge til your heart's content. These games used to consume quarters at a 5 minute clip during my younger days so it's pretty luxurious to have unlimited continues all the while sipping a delicious beverage in between. There is also a good selection of board games with tables to play near the entrance. Was super excited when I saw they were finally open. I got the wintermelon foam drink, and it had a nice salty kick to my sweet enough drink. Wasn't able to adjust sweetness on this particular one, but they added more ice to fix that. Super glad I don't have to drive all the way to Annandale to get a good drink now. After scouring the NOVA area's plethora of boba shops, I have concluded that Gonga Cha is top tier! This particular location is relatively new, but it still serves up the best bubble tea in the area. The staff has always been attentive and on top of it, and my drinks have been consistent without any issues. The restaurant space is open, clean, and bright with room for a line to form without being confused with the area to wait for order pick-up. Additionally, they have one self-service kiosk to order at if you don't want to go to the register to order. It's easy to use and only requires your phone number and a credit card to pay. I've used them when the register line is too long and I know exactly what I want. My go-to is the Oolong milk tea with no boba with 50% ice and sugar since you're able to adjust the ice and sugar amounts. I've found this to be extremely helpful since some boba places seem to heap on the sugar. read more

The basil seeds winter melon drink was on point and it's one of my favorite non caffeinated drinks from gong cha! The other recommendation is White Pearl Ai-yu. Gongcha is a classic. Main drinks that can never mess up are Thai tea and the brown sugar series. Tried the brown sugar oolong milk tea today and glad that I got 50% sweetest! Turns out it doesn't come with bubbles, so keep that in mind when ordering. Also got a plain original puffy waffles -I call them puffles- came it quickly even though the employee said 5-10 minutes.
