I am very conflicted now with Gonnason boats, I have left them a 5 star review before because of how helpful they have been for me in the past (buying parts, oil, and just providing me with info on maintaining my jetski). But recently, I picked up an old boat that had an Indmar serial number on it. I wanted to look up that serial number to find some info on the engine as far as the exact motor, components, wiring, etc. Indmars website does not let you call them directly, they basically forward you to a list of their dealers and say to contact those dealers with questions or service. So I called Gonnason and asked about it, Tori took the serial number down, and said she would get back to me the next day. I called the next day to check in and ask if she had found anything out, she said she was still waiting on a reply. A few more days went by and I called again asking about it, she said no they never responded and she would reach out to Indmar by calling them and get back to me. Here we are a couple weeks or something later, and have not received any response back at all. I get the feeling she lost the serial number, or something and is just giving me random answers when I call. I don't mind if you are honest with me! Just say you lost it, or forgot, or you really haven't heard back, but to just never get back after a couple phone calls of reminding them? It's not a big deal anymore because I called another shop on Indmars dealer list, and they guy gave me all the info I needed right there on the phone. Also, just last Friday, I spoke with a lady, I believe it was Laurie, and I was asking about some exhaust gaskets for my Seadoo, she said that it was so old of a jetski it didn't come up in her computer system and she would have to do some research to figure it out and she would call me back on Saturday. I think you can guess what happened next. No call back, nothing. I have always gone to Gonnason for my parts because they are local and have always been kind. But I'm pretty irritated at them not getting back to me... Needless to say; I have the info I was looking for, I have the gaskets ordered I needed and everything is right in the world. But figured I would share my experience. read more

We are beyond appreciative of the service we received from Gonnason Boats this week on our jetski! This is a very popular, highly rated company, and the repair shop was booked out several weeks...however, the office manager, Tori, went above and beyond to squeeze us in for repair after telling her of our situation - we recently purchased two used jetskis for our two sons, who have nothing to do for fun right now (besides Xbox) due to COVID. And unfortunately, we purchased a lemon from a private seller - after two times out on the water, the impeller and wear ring blew out due to improper installation and maintenance. My kids were stuck in the middle of Puget Sound and luckily had a tow rope / so my 12-year old had to tow his brother to shore. Tori coordinated the service from beginning to end and made us feel like family. We won't go anywhere else besides Gonnason's for servicing of both our jetskis and our boat from now on - thank you Tori, you put a huge smile on my boys' faces and I am very grateful!! read more

I have been very impressed with the service and prices for Gonnason Boats. I took my 2001 X30 in for winterizing/cleaning, they did an excellent job and offered a few additional things to be done, which I agreed to, but not before giving me estimated costs and timeframe. When finished they called to let me know, and the price ended up being slightly cheaper than quoted. By the time I put my boat in the water (approx 5 months after the service), I realized either they forgot to put my boat tie-downs back on, or someone may have taken them. When I called to ask them if they may have misplaced them, they told me to come on by and would be giving me a new set for free, didn't matter if they misplaced them or not. I bought a Monster tower last year and had them install it. Nothing but problems from then on!! They failed to reinforce the fiberglass like the manufacturer requires. Took it out and the fiberglass cracked. Called Tori and she was reluctant to fix at first. She actually said that the tower I purchased was not meant to tow wake boards...huh?? Well, I left the shop very upset and decided to call the manufacturer and tell them my story. The next day I received a call from Tori saying that they would fix the fiberglass. I forgot to mention that when I had them install the tower, I also had them install a sound system with all new speakers. Well, the system worked fine, but I noticed the hidden speakers did not sound as good. I could not see them so I used my camera phone to get the angle and took a picture. Sure enough, the old speakers were still in (and I had paid for new ones) Called Tori again and of course she was confused why they were not installed. At least she did make the effort to send a guy to my house to install instead of me driving 40 min. there and back. I took my boat in to get the fiberglass fixed and reinforced...only took a lot of the summer!! Got it fixed, but I did not see the smaller cracks that they missed until I was washing my boat. I called her up again and she insisted that those cracks were already there. (sure!) By this time, the summer was coming to an end and I wanted to use the boat before then. She told me that her fiberglass guy would not be available until mid October. I told her that I wrap my boat and that that date would not work. She told me that if I could find someone she would reimburse me what it would have cost her or I could wait until next year to bring it in. I found a fiberglass shop to fix it and sent Tori the bill. Well, guess what...she told me that they don't pay retail and that she never told me that she would reimburse me. I was done arguing with her so I was stuck with a 1900.00 dollar repair. Boat looks great but what an awful summer!!! Oh yeah, one more thing. I also had remotes for sound system installed by the driver seat and at the aft of the boat. First use, the one at the aft fell off. improper install. I had to crawl in the tight spot to fix. THIS SHOP IS A JOKE! read more

I purchased a boat from these clowns and just after the first hour in the water i got stranded ,boat would not start , they refused to help me and after few weeks off listening to lies from Jeff the owner and by the way this guy does not care about customers at all and he refused to refund me the money or fix the boat even thou he assured me that the boat is fine and that if there is any issues that they will take care off it , i picked up the boat from them becouse for weeks they did not even test it to see whats wrong, seeing that they will not do anything i picked up the boat ,so the outcome is i did not use the boat for whole summer and summer is almost gone and still have to pay somebody to fix it. Have take my Mastercraft here a few times, the staff is always fun, friendly and polite. They seem to go out of their way to make sure you laugh and have fun. Their mechanic Kenny has always been top notch with whatever I've needed and even made sure I wasn't getting things done that wasn't needed. Tyler was great, he made my boat look brand new and was even able to help me get a uhaul for my move. Tori has always been super friendly and communicated with me every time I've been in. I worked directly with Tori on the purchase, she is very professional and very customer focused. She is a straight shooter, no BS. If she says she is going to do something, she gets it done, period. I can't speak to the boat side of this business, but I had a great experience renting a Uhaul trailer from Gonnason Boats. I was helped at the counter by Tyler, who was very polite, and experienced. I was in and out within about 15 minutes. The trailer, while definitely not new looking, was clean and well maintained, and served its purpose well. The next time I need a Uhaul, Gonnason will be my first choice. This is by far the best Uhaul rental experience that I've had. read more

Went to Gonnason to pick up a uhaul moving van. Tyler was very helpful in walking me through the process as I have never rented a uhaul before in my life. The whole process was very quick and I was in and out with no problems. Even with it being quick, I still feel like everything was explained clearly and thoroughly with me and I did not feel at all rushed. Excellent customer service. I took my boat in for dry inside storage for the period covering December 7, 2017 to April 1, 2018, on Thursday Dec. 7th. $220/month. I paid the $930 in advance. My mistake. Two days later on Saturday 12/9 as I drove by my boat was still outside. I stopped and asked why and they apologized and said they would put it in right away. They are closed Sunday and Monday but I was drove by again on Monday 12/11 and it was STILL outside. On Tuesday the 12/12 I called. The owners daughter Tori got back to me on the phone, what followed was a bizarre 15 minute call going over every excuse under the Sun. After that I said I would be in that afternoon to pick up the boat. That tipped her over and she advised me they wanted payment immediately for the winterizing ($340 I paid it when I picked up the boat) and she told me I wasn't getting the money I had paid in advance ( $930, remember there were six days it sat outside in their storage yard, Dec 7 to 12, no mention of crediting that.......you know, something you paid for). When I picked up the boat she said her dad, Jeff, would be contacting me to go over the issue of the contract. One I might add clearly states in Line Item #1, 'this is a 'month to month' contract up to April 1, 2017 (not April 7th, hahahah). WTF Anyway I waited until January 5th to call and ask why Jeff Gonnason couldn't call me as his daughter indicated. I might insert here, my concern for the father/daughter business issue here. What chance really does a customer have in dealing with that dynamic. It's safe to say I found out when asked Jeff Gonnason about it. Well, it hit me as soon as he asked 'what are you calling for' (haha). I could hear his daughter in the background. I won't bore you with the details as it's safe to say daddy stood up for his little girl. I asked him if he had the contract in front of him and he said, ' I don't need it'. My mistake was paying in advance. It's not the amount, it's the headache as I travel and am gone a good amount of the time during the month it's nice to know I didn't have to worry about it. But here's the rub, from the moment I placed the boat under their care the transaction was a nightmare. The family part of it, the calls, the excuses, the lies was not what I was looking for. It was a plain transaction of placing a boat in a climate controlled spot and they couldn't even complete that. Needless to say I'm wondering about the 'winterizing' I paid for. What's the chances of that being completed per specification? To be continued I guess. That is my story about Gonnason Boats in Kent. Think I'll call Jesse. read more

These guys quoted me $2000 or more to repair my seadoo, after i had spent almost $1600 a couple of years before with them repairing it. I found another mechanic who can redbuild it for less than half the quoted price. To make matters worse, they forgot to give me my battery back and couldn't find my cover when I picked up the Seadoo. We eventually found the cover, but I didn't notice the battery was missing until I took the Seadoo to another mechanic. When I called about the missing battery, the service manager told me the battery would have been bad by now anyway so there was no harm in them keeping my old, perfectly good battery. read more

We took our boat motor in around Memorial Day and said we needed it fixed by the 4th of July because we had plans for the holiday.We were assured it would be ready in less than two weeks....today is September 30 and it is finally ready...I am embarrassed that a business in Kent treats customers this way... I get to pick it up just in time to put it away for the year...of course the boat is already under cover for the summer, so I won't even know if they have actually fixed it until next summer. I'm guessing they won't stand by their work, if it doesn't start next spring. What a sleazy place. read more
