Very cool place! Stopped in for dinner before a show, they have a pretty good happy hour deals on drinks and apps. We got a vegan cheesesteak that was huge, plenty for 2 of us to share. I'm a meat eater and couldn't tell it was vegan at all! Love all the photos of dogs on the walls!!

Precisely as expected. Not trying too hard. Confident. Authentic. Cozy. Comfortable. Easy. Smooth.

Great spot for drinks and food. Service was spot on and very attentive. The food was very good. I would not have looked at this place and thought they would have fantastic poke bowls and pho, but they did. I ordered the poke bowl and it was massive, tuna was perfect, great flavor. My husband got the chicken pho and it was amazing, no notes. If we come back, I will definitely get the pho. This is a great spot if you're looking for something chill but also want great food.

Met some friends in the city and decided this place sounded like fun! It definitely was, great atmosphere and I absolutely loved the dog pics all over the place. We parked in a garage a block away, street parking is tough in this area but you can find it if you are patient. Drinks were good, I had the espresso martini and it hit the spot. Ordered the burger for dinner, not the stuffed one, the traditional one. It was just OK, IMO, cooked perfectly medium, but lacking a bit of flavor. Maybe just needed some salt and pepper but I was hoping for more. The Mac and cheese was more Mac than cheese. I like my Mac swimming in a rich creamy cheese sauce, this was not what I was looking for, but it was decent. The steak tacos were the best of the dishes we ordered, I just wish they came with a side of salsa. Our server, Logan, was fantastic. Friendly personality, knew the menu well, was quick with our drinks, and checked up on us often. I'd definitely go again for the drinks, services and ambience, and to try the stuffed burger!

This place has become my FAVORITE WINGS in the city!!! Their buffalo wings are so delicious and the blue cheese is *chefs kiss* I've also tried their Mac and cheese, wonderful side to the wings, and a few of their sandwiches because their fries are irresistible! Service is always fast and reliable and it's always busy without being crowded.

I had a lovely time at Good Dog Bar after a work event with the Yelp Philly CM. It was right next to my hotel. I love that it was in a super walkable part of town. This local haunt is divey in the best way possible. It's unassuming and has great food and drinks. I love the dog pictures that line the wall and the cozy interior. Our server was super kind and quick to take our orders. I tried the creamy mac and cheese. I'm a bit picky with my mac and cheese and found myself wishing there was a bit more of a kick to this. It was still super creamy and rich. My coworkers ordered their burgers which looked like the real star of the show here. Those burgers looked incredible and I wish I had ordered that. On my next visit, I will definitely be ordering that. I also got a very tasty apple mule mocktail that I highly recommend.

Hey not a bad dive bar in Philly. Went with a friend for early dinner. They have a good happy hour and also military is 20% off. So that's always a plus. Food was hearty and had flavor. Staff was friendly as well. The prices are on the price side but it's Philly everything is gonna run you $15 and above. If you ever need a bit to eat check it out.

I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.

The first thing I did was head straight for my favorite, Cantillon from Belgium. This visit, I tried their Kriek LG, a fruited lambic made by adding sour cherries to a two-year-old aged lambic. All I can say is... WOW! Tart, complex, refreshing, and dangerously drinkable. If beer could win an Academy Award, this one would be giving an acceptance speech. Now, let's talk food. I ordered the Thai Curry Mussels, and they were absolutely outstanding. The broth was packed with flavor, and the mussels were cooked perfectly. They easily rank in the top five mussel dishes I've ever had, and I've done my research! Pro tip: Don't make the rookie mistake of eating all the bread first. Save some for the end so you can soak up every last drop of that incredible curry broth at the bottom of the bowl. Trust me, you'll thank me later. The service is always excellent. John usually takes care of us in the back, and he consistently makes the experience even better with great recommendations and friendly service. In side is cozy and friendly! If you live in Philly and haven't been here yet, what are you waiting for? Great beer, amazing food, and outstanding service--this place checks every box. Just be warned: one visit and you'll be planning your next trip back before you even leave.

And it was walking distance from my hotel. Indeed their beer selection was impressive and carried Belgian Tripels, ales and IPAs and the elusive Pliney the Elder on tap at $8.50 a pint. I also learned their food menu boasts some well known choices. However, on this lunch visit the grill was out of service; no burgers, steaks, etc. I pivoted to their popular steamed mussels. A sizable pot of plump mussels in their black shells swimming in their liquor and considerable diced garlic and chopped fresh parsley. Delicious. The meal was accompanied by pommes frites and small slices of baguette for sopping. A chilled pint of Elder finished the monk's testament to excellence. Take a break from the cheesesteak and commit to the Monk. Well worth it.

I'd heard the fish and chips were something special here, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. A generous piece of fish, fried beautifully -- not greasy at all -- that flaked perfectly with every bite. My niece doesn't eat fish, and even she took a bite and approved. High praise. But honestly? The star of the evening were the Madras Curry deviled eggs. Outstanding. Truly. And the dip with the perfectly toasted bread was equally impressive -- everything was prepared with real care. The drinks were lovely, and the atmosphere is in a category all its own. There is so much to look at. You could spend hours in there and still not catch everything on the walls. A quick note for first-time visitors: the restaurant has multiple entrances, and I initially arrived at the back door. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in directing me to the correct entrance. The space has a unique atmosphere. The indoor dining area felt quite dark, but the restaurant appears to have multiple levels, including an upstairs dining area and a bar, which adds to its charm. I started with a cocktail and really enjoyed it. It was fruity, well-balanced, and had just the right amount of alcohol without being overpowering. Based on recommendations, I ordered the burger. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me. It could have been cooked better, and overall I wasn't particularly impressed with it. What stood out most was the service. My server was attentive, friendly, and checked in regularly without being intrusive. Overall, The Dandelion offers a pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and great cocktails. While the burger wasn't a standout for me, I'd be willing to return and try other menu items.
