My boyfriend and I went here and ordered 2 veggie dogs, but instead they gave us the vegan sausages which were cold and a mushy texture. We tried to enjoy what they had given us but ultimately we wanted what we had ordered. They remade our food but forgot half the toppings that we had ordered as well. And they charged us for food that we didn't order and that was also a high price than what we had ordered. we saw this place on our way to mudpie, and after eating lunch, we decided to go ahead and get a dog anyway . . . so we stepped in, and ordered a bbq hot dog. overall, it was a fairly juicy dog, and the bbq sauce was more sweet than I would have liked, but the cole slaw was pretty good and it went down pretty well. I think that I would prefer biting into something that would explode a little more in my mouth, with juice and bold flavors, but overall, it was pretty good. I think I would consider trying a different dog if we went back again though. The other thing that caught my eye was that they had day-old cupcakes @ 4/$5 . . . whereas day-of cupcakes were $2.50 a piece. They looked super delicious. Must eat here anytime we hit Chattanooga. The fries come in a cone. The cone sits in a hole built into the table. This makes them even more delicious. The dogs are exquisite too. Hard to go wrong. The people that work here are super friendly and accommodating. They offer vegetarian and non vegetarian options. They practice what is preached when it comes to trying to have sustainability and keep things local. Goes all the way down to the quarter toy machine where they will reuse the "bubble" if you place it in the container they provide for it. they also encourage you to recycle in an area they have set aside in a back room. that out of the way they do serve a delicious breakfast. you do pay a little more but its within reason where it will not keep you away. I had the chicken and gravy hash. the egg was perfectly poached and the meal in all is pretty good. The coffee is really good and locally roasted. they make their own veggie hot dogs and well it goes on. just stop in and give it a try. Well worth a visit. read more

It would seem from the other reviews I came on a bad night. Friday night? Well the place is quirky with different colored walls and funky art everywhere. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We were there with a group of six. So we tried just about half of the selection of dogs on the menu overall. A couple of the dogs were a bit cold in the middle. I like my hot dogs, well, hot. Wanted simple and local and that's what I got. Pimento cheese dog was good although I've had better pimento cheese. I'm not sure they make it there so I'm just going to say it was ok. The Philly Dog was very good with caramelized onion and a garlic cream cheese that was great. My complaint is with the bun. They use long skinny hotdogs in a very thick hotdog bun. For me, the bun is just a holder so take away some of that massive bread. Overall there were lots of choices that sounded great and you could keep coming back until you find the sweet spot. Not too shabby. My friends and I tried the Hawaiian Dog and one other that I cannot remember. They were both pretty good, but after you've tried Dat Dog in New Orleans, no other hot dog will ever taste the same, hence the three stars. We also ordered the Not Yo "Nachos" Frites which was topped with cheese, tomatoes, and a side of sour cream, although they did forget the sour cream. The fries were good though I have to say. Visiting from Florida BUT i Absolutely will never visit again. After paying over 70$, we couldn't be provided with a receipt nor actually given great service. The whole family was done with their food by the time my mom actually got her ONE hot dog. Mom got into an altercation with a women with dreads and she blocked my mom without leaving out the restaurant and threatened to call the cops. By far the most violent and rude workers. I think the place is super cute and the food is great. I am a plain jane so i just get the Good Dog, which is just a good ole naked dog. But it was a very very tasty one. My husband got the chili slaw dog and he said it was one of the best. He liked the flavor of the hot dog an the snap that it had, it was a limp dog. The "frites" (fries) are hand cut and fried fresh for your order, so so yummy. They also make this special seasoning, i think its called dog dust, and it was so good on the fries. Along with all their homemade ketchups and dips it was very delightful. The curry ketchup was my favorite. I totally do not try new things but i went for it and i loved it! I am from Atlanta but when i go to chattannooga i will go back to Good Dog for lunch. read more

I had the Chicago dog and it's true to one I had in Chicago. The fries are great and I loved the unique ketchups and seasonings they had, the Dog Dust makes everything taste better.We also had the broccoli cauliflower soup which was excellent. The place is in a great location near the river and by some other cool shops. Nice area to go for a walk.They also have some great cupcakes. The cooks/staff was friendly and helpful with information as we are not from the area. This is not your ordinary dog so give it a try. We will be back! read more

Enjoying the company, but will not return. Kitchen is extremely slow. About one order every 5 minutes. People who ordered after us are and left before our food came out. Then our order was wrong. They had to remake my hot dog. Plain French fries were cold . Special fries did not have ingredients that menu says. When we complained she brought same ones back and told us they are what we ordered. We pointed out that what is on them does not match the menu. She said well we put that on them. Then why have a menu? Average food that is slow. There are too many good restruants in the area to get service this bad. read more

Loved going here even though a bit pricey for what all we got. I was excited that they offer vegan and GF options since I have allergies. However, the only two things I could eat was the fries (ahhhmazzzing!!) and chili (too hot for it but it wasn't bad.) I loved the bright colors and the staff was awesome as well. This place looks really good on their website so we gave it a try. It was so disappointing! The waitress explained the menu and was very nice which is the only thing going for the place. Cold thick buns and very ordinary hot dogs that are priced way too high. The plastic Christmas, Halloween, and Easter decor hanging on a shelf was just weird! I love good dog! I don't even really care about hotdogs unless they are from Good Dog. I also love the selection of sauces they have. The beer is very affordable too. I think one night a week they have those taller versions of PBR, not quite a tallboy, for $1. Keep up the good work and service Good Dog. read more
