Sabrina is truly one of a kind! Prior to our first training session I had an amazing chat with her about some of the issues I was up against with my new English bulldog that I recently rescued. Ziggy is 3 with pretty much no training. She gave me so many amazing tips on the phone prior to meeting that were so helpful and made a huge difference even prior to our first session with her. Then she did a phenomenal 2 hour session with myself and family. She was amazing with my little sister who has special needs. Ziggy was having over excitement with having any visitors at the house. Sabrina worked with him and taught me and my family tips and tricks to manage it. The following weekend I had my old aunt and uncle over and Ziggy was amazing. I practiced all the tips Sabrina taught us and he was so good. I cried I was so happy. He didn't run circles through the house drooling, he didn't jump in anyone's lap. He laid on his bed with his bones and chewed and then when he was done with that he went to greet my guests and sat right in front of them. It was a huge transformation in just one session. Sabrina is an amazing trainer! Our dog was having some serious resource guarding to the point where it wasn't safe for myself, let alone the kids. We sent our 15 month old rescue away to Sabrina for a 2 week intensive training session and our dog came back a completely different dog. We finally got the little pup of our dreams -- and she turned out to be a headstrong brat. An adorable brat, but a brat nonetheless. We expected normal puppy behavior: Barking up a storm, nipping at our heels, chewing on everything in sight, peeing/pooing everywhere. But, this pup was very, very dominant. Scary amounts of attitude. Our vet spent 5 minutes with the puppy at her initial 8 week check-up and advised us to ~immediately~ get a trainer... Enter Sabrina. And, exit the brat. Sabrina came in and trained my kids first. In the very first two-hour session, my 3 year old had the puppy responding to both a come and a sit command. No more tears. Thanks to weekly training with Sabrina, our 15 week old puppy is now the sweetest, most normal puppy. She's not chewing, nipping or peeing/pooping everywhere any more. Yes, she still barks on occasion, but that's simmering down, too. And, the way she heels -- well, you'd think she was an adult dog. Really amazing. My vet couldn't believe the difference in our puppy. She said "If I didn't know better, I'd say you got a different dog." We contacted Sabrina to help us with our dog's barking issues, which we had tried to deal by ourselves and didn't get good results. She was very responsive since our first contact by email, and she really tried to adjust to the time and budget we had to spend on that - her main goal is to help you thrive. I never intended to adopt a second dog, and I was very happy with my original dog walker, but I know what can go wrong and my priorities were to find a dog walker who could assist with both of them. These became my priorities threefold, when I met two consecutive dog walkers that met the dogs, but then found that they were "too much" to handle. Bleh!!!! I want to know my dogs are safe, my house is safe and that my dogs are having an enjoyable time and getting exercise. I have all three of those things with Good Dog for Life. I have two dogs which could be described as challenging :). I also have a work schedule that can be a little hectic. Tink and Sabrina worked with us to properly introduce and customize training services that suit our needs (and with the other dog walker). They do leash walks, arrange play groups and training "for humans." They also referred me to holistic VET who knows how to balance medication/natural treatments. I know that every time my dogs go out, they are getting reinforcement for their training. I also know that he is not going to put my dogs in situations where they might get into trouble. Here is the most important thing, in addition to my dogs loving them, Tink and Sabrina love my dogs and you can see it when they interact with them. The best recommendation I could ever get was to see my 'anxiety-skittish' dog meet Sabrina again without a problem, and then immediately see Tink and come running down the stairs to meet him as well. I signed up for a package of lessons with Sabrina when I brought home my 10 week old King Charles Spaniel. Its not that I was worried that my dog was going to be a terror or anything (as this breed is known for its kind gentle nature and is small in size- 18 pounds full grown). However I wanted a dog that would not pull on the leash, chew on the furniture, pee in the house and jump up on people. I wanted a dog that knew his place in the family and was happy and well adjusted. This was critical so that if my mom or anyone else were to watch him I would know he would be a pleasure to keep and therefore not beg for food, jump on furniture when not invited, or scratch the legs of people he was excited to see. Sabrina is a DOG WHISPERER- seriously. She is amazing with dogs and very importantly with us humans as well. She has done wonders with Cooper and the process has been so fun. She is open to training at your house or meeting out for some highly challenging situational training (like a pet store- once you conquer control of your dog in a pet store it is an AMAZING feeling). She believes in a positive training approach which makes Cooper LOVE her and we both enjoy learning new things together. Each time we would meet we would reinforce already taught behaviors and then focus on a new behavior or enrich the depth of training in an existing one. She has also always been there for me when I need her. I have reached out to her multiple times when I have been worried about a behavior or a symptom (ie: a bladder infection) and she has given immediate advice. She has also then followed up with me after to make sure Coops was feeling better or the behavior was corrected. I can not say enough good things about Sabrina (and her partner Tink). We recently adopted a Australian Shepherd Mix Puppy and for some odd reason the puppy was weary of my dad. The Puppy would run away from my dad and had its tail completely tucked under. We contacted the Good Dog for Life team and worked with Tink to help the puppy be more comfortable with my dad. They helped identify that the puppy must not like that he smells like smoke and might have had a traumatic experience with a smoker before. Tink spent time with my dad and our puppy and by the end of the training session our dog was accepting treats from my dad (the puppy refused to do that before). We are very happy with the training we get from the Good Dog for Life Team and continue to work with them as our puppy get older! We cannot recommend Sabrina highly enough. After a long wait, we finally got our new Golden Doodle puppy and were so excited. But it had been a long time since we raised a puppy and wanted to do it right. We read a lot of the reviews here on Yelp and then talked with a number of people. We were looking for a balanced way to train, based on the needs of the dog. During our initial assessment, she made an immediate impact with the dogs and with us. Her recommendations were very tailored to our situation and our puppy. She helped us understand all of the commands and gave us great direct feedback. Our puppy immediately took to her - she has quite the magic touch with dogs. We signed up for her "Puppy Package" and are glad we did. The additional meetings were great to reinforce the initial commands we all learned plus adding new ones. Before Sabrina, our puppy was a little spastic, strong willed, and didn't really mind us. After working with Sabrina, our puppy is much calmer and happier and follows our direction. She's always available to answer questions between sessions. And she really goes above and beyond as well. When we met Sabrina, our puppy was on the submissive side and frightened around doggies. Sabrina worked with her network (other clients) to introduce us to other puppy owners in the area to set up play dates and she came along. Sabrina is THE dog whisperer. We hired her when we adopted a shelter dog who was traumatized and acting out in all sorts of ways. He was aggressive around other dogs so we couldn't take him to a class so private training was the way to go. Sabrina did a few sessions with him and now he is the sweetest little guy. He is friendly with people and dogs and knows how to walk nicely on his leash - no more strangle-pulling. He goes for weekly hikes with Sabrina and a group of dogs and absolutely goes NUTS when she comes to pick him up because he is so excited to see her. I've recommended her to tons of friends and they have been incredibly happy with her services. Sabrina also has someone who does grooming and our guy gets the best haircuts with her. The best part? He gets picked up for his hike, goes to Sabrina's for his haircut, and gets delivered back to our house clean and dapper. Sabrina's prices are totally reasonable and she is worth every penny. Sabrina Watts is AMAZING! I'm the assistant to a family who welcomed a loving Burnese Mountain Dog puppy into their home. Like all other puppies, she has definitely grown into a much LARGER terrorizing machine. She use to enjoy stealing the children's toys and many times, use THEM as toys. Luckily, we found Sabrina and what a god send the woman has been. We started off with Sabrina taking Brooke (our pup) out into public places as well as training her with other dogs. Now we have her working in the home to establish a routine. Brooke is much more of a joy to have around now that she listens and isn't getting into trouble! Also, after training, Brooke is WIPED. Which helps even more with teaching her around the house. She is so good on a leash that I have no problem letting any of the children walk her (youngest being 3 1/2 years). Also, Sabrina works with wonderful people as well. We have her boyfriend, Tink, walking Brooke 3 days a week which has been so helpful for getting out her excess energy. He's even so sweet as to leave a note on how they spent their walk. Sabrina also has a woman who grooms (she even does pick up and drop off, INCREDIBLE!), although we haven't worked with her quite yet but we are looking forward to. Brooke truly adores Sabrina and shows through her excitement every time the phone rings (signaling someone at the gate). Sabrina is easily reachable whether it be through email, phone, or text. She's easy to book appointments with and is very calm, kind, and professional. What makes a great dog trainer? There are not enough words to describe how great a trainer Tink is! He trained our 2 year old rescue lab mix to not react to skateboards, bicycles, joggers, and other dogs. He helped me to overcome my nervousness in trying to walk such a strong dog... He has accomplished so much with her, but what I appreciate most about Tink is his compassion for the dogs he works with and their owners. When she got her tail caught and we thought she needed to see the vet... I called Tink. She does not like the vet and I knew we would need help. Tink immediately came to the house, was able to determine that we did need to go to the vet and then... went with us, put a muzzle on her and helped keep her calm, holding her until the sedation took effect for for surgery. Two days later, Tink came by the house to check on her... and boy was she happy to see him. I could not ask for a better trainer for my dogs. Thank you Tink! read more

When Emma, my nine-year-old pit mix, was a young dog she had some very tramatizing experiences on leash and as a result has been so reactive on leash that I have been unable to walk her. Over the years we have tried four or five trainers but without success. I heard about Sabrina and Tink from our vet so I decided to give it one last try. After 90 minutes with Sabrina and Tink I was able to walk Emma on my own. They apply a very gentle and practical approach to their training. I highly recommend them. read more

We first approached Sabrina (and Tink) about our pit bull rescue. We needed help with some fear-based behaviors. Both came out initially and provided some great tips and guidance. We retained Tink to walk and worth with our pup daily. We see a huge difference and I really credit Tink's ability to read and work with dogs that may not be the easiest to read. Additionally, Tink worked to introduce our dog into an existing playgroup. I never once worried (and still don't worry) about our dog getting hurt and getting into an out of control situation. Tink really knows how to read dogs and work with them, even in a group setting. Now, Sabrina introduced us to another pit bull rescue and we've adopted her. During the getting acquainted process, we felt completely supported by Tink and Sabrina. It has worked out very well, Tink's intuition about the second dog being a comfort to our first was spot on.
