My pup Goji has been walking with GetaLegUp ever since she was 17 weeks old (right after her vaccinations). Goji is right now 2! Currently she walks with the group 5x a week (full time) and she even boards with Leo/Celene when we are away! Goji is not only a pandemic puppy but also our first dog EVER. Goji gets picked up around 1130am everyday and comes home around 4pm pretty tired and hungry after playing with 15 of her best friends. All the dogs get along very well and run around a ranch in Pacifica. Leo provides fresh clean water, treats and toys for the pups. GetaLegUp is literally every dog's dream life. Leo and Celene have been doing this for decades and literally give each dog love and attention. They are excellent with their communication and always prioritize a dog's health first. Celene and Leo are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. Our dog Goose gets picked up and dropped off by Leo 3 times a week and she loves playing with all the other doggies! It took less than a week for her to warm up! We get sent pictures and videos of our baby throughout the day and she is having the time of her life. My pup Hamilton has been walking with Leo's group since Jan 2021. I cant say enough good things about Leo and Celene! First off they are always just a text away and cancelling or adding walks is always easy with them. The ranch where the dogs play is fox tail free, which is a huge plus compared to the dog walkers that take their groups to places like fort funston. I always get lots of videos and pics of my dog playing everyday and they will even tag your pup on IG if they have their own account. My pup always come home happy and tired. If I could give Get a Leg up Dog Walking more stars I would!!! Celene is an angel.....seriously she is heaven sent for animals. I was so hesitant to leave my little man, Jerome, with anyone. I'm a new mom (have had Jerome 3 months now) so of course I'm a teeny bit psycho. Celene was absolutely amazing from the very beginning. We emailed back and forth so I became extremely comfortable and excited for her to meet Jerome. Jerome Loooooves his hikes with Celene, Leo and all of his buddies. I have noticed such a difference in his breathing due to his new lean physique. Jerome is a Frenchie so he has the smush face problem. Last week Celene went above and beyond when she came to walk Jerome and found that he had pooped in his crate and proceeded to throw up when she let him out. She called me immediately and even tried to clean him off. She stayed with him all day while I was at school and kept me updated on his health. She pulled over twice for him to poop because he was crying and he threw up in her car.....but she was genuinely way more concerned with him. I ended up taking him to the emergency room as he was extremely sick. I am so incredibly grateful for Celene, if it wasn't for her, I don't even want to think about what might have happened to Jerome. I seriously can not recommend Get a Leg up enough. We have been blessed to have been referred to Celene when we moved to a new area. Since Celene has been walking our little picky dog, we have seen huge strides on his skiddish behavior to new areas. From the puppy visits when she was a tiny puppy, emergency doctor visits in times of need to amazing days at the park, beach or wherever the days adventure takes her, Baylee is over estatic when she sees them walk through that door. I have known Celene for many years and she has played a big part in helping me with the care of my dogs. When I have needed to go out of town, I am always able to rely on her, even if it is a last minute deal where I have to rush out of town. She took care of my late dog Sam and was always kind and loving towards him, which was not hard since he was the sweetest dog ever and it was impossible not to shower him in hugs and kisses (which we all did, all the time). She would take him to the beach for outings because she knew what a fan he was of the beach, and of digging joyfully in the sand, one of the things that made him happiest. When he passed, she was very empathetic to the situation that we all know is never easy and checked in periodically to make sure I was doing ok which I truly appreciated during that tough time. Fast forward to now, I began to foster an aussie kelpie mix, Sherlock from Grateful Dogs Rescue. Sherlock was a bit shy in the beginning and Celene offered to walk him at a discounted rate since he was a foster and I accepted, of course! Discounted dog walks! yes please! She stressed the importance of him being socialized and walking with a pack, so she took him out on walks with the pack she found to be most suitable for him and he returned each time, that much more relaxed and at ease. I would often come out to the truck to meet her packs and you could tell they were happy to be with her and on their way to somewhere exciting I am sure. I am proud to say that my foster Sherlock, has now become my rescue, Pepper! I walk him for the most part since I work from home but I know that I can call on Celene when anything comes up and she will be there and do an outstanding job with my dog! 5 stars is probably not enough! Celene has been walking my Mimi Dog for about 2-3 months now. She replaced my long term dog walker who both of us adored, but she moved out of the area. Celene has been absolutely amazing, dependable, trustworthy, responsible, great communicator (which is important to me) and best? she sends me pictures of my dog out and about with her during the day! That makes my day! as I slave to make sure my dog gets the best care in my absence, and with Celene she does have the best. She also arranged for a backup when she had to take a couple of days off, and took care of all the details including making sure we met. I never worry about my dog when she is with Celene and that is completely priceless to me. I cannot say enough good about Celene, you will not go wrong entrusting your pooches to her. One of our dogs has been going on daily outings with Leo at Get a Leg Up for more than a year, and our recently adopted dog has been going with him for a few months. Leo usually takes the dogs to Fort Funston (aka, Doggie Heaven) or McLaren Park, and all told, they are out of the house for a few hours each day, making it much easier to balance work and life with dogs in the city. Leo is really good with them, and posts daily pictures of his pack on Facebook. Checking out the pictures of what our dogs were up to is definitely a highlight of our day! His action shots are great! Both dogs love Leo, and our pit mix, Tonto, gets so excited when he hears Leo arrive, he cannot sit still: his whole butt waggles, and he smiles and "talks"! Our other dog, Tesla, a German Shorthaired pointer rescue, is deaf, and Leo takes her out with his pack and handles her without any trouble. He is very flexible and always willing to try to work with any issues our dogs may be having, and will give us updates on how the dogs are doing. Leo is really a dog person: he has a very calm demeanor that makes our dogs respect him, and is high energy on the outings, which tires out our high energy dogs. Both our dogs can easily go backpacking ~15-20 miles/day, so we are amazed that anyone can give them enough exercise on a daily basis! Don't know what we would do without Get a Leg Up! read more
