    Such a good walk!
    Alex G.

We were referred to Irini after a truly horrible board and train experience, so it's safe to say our hopes weren't high when we started in-home training. I can't even describe how wrong we were. Irini is kind and considerate of all levels of owner experience (and doggy behavior) and she is exactly what we needed. She involved us fully in the process of training our dog, Della, and made us feel confident even when we had setbacks. I only wish we had found her before we sent our dog to the first trainer. Della is now such a joy for us to be around and to take places, where before her reactivity was such that she couldn't handle a car driving by the house or someone approaching us on a walk. Our family is feeling less stressed and I think that Della feels the change in our energy as well! Cannot recommend Irini enough, she is so talented and an absolute joy to work with.

A rare moment of chill :-)

We have two rescue pit bulls, Panda and Boba, each with their own unique personalities and behavioral challenges. Throughout our training journey, Jared has been incredibly patient and resourceful. He's always willing to adapt his approach and try different techniques, tools, and training exercises--from various leashes and collars to using stuffed animals for realistic practice scenarios. Jared has also been flexible and responsive with scheduling, which we really appreciate since my partner and I are usually only available on weekends. Over the past two years, we've moved to different cities throughout the Peninsula, yet we've continued working with Jared because of the trust he's built with both us and our dogs--and the results we've seen.

She was quiet and a bit confused in those early days, and we honestly didn't know what "normal" even looked like. We started working with Jared literally the day after we brought her home, and that made all the difference. What stood out right away is that he doesn't just train the dog, he helps you understand your dog's psychology. That shift was huge for us. Instead of guessing or reacting, we started to feel like we actually knew what she needed and how to respond. He guided us through the basics like potty training and getting her to sleep through the night, and once those clicked, life got dramatically easier. More importantly, he gave us a framework we can keep using as new challenges come up. Our puppy still has some separation anxiety and can be a bit needy, but now it feels manageable. We're making steady, incremental progress and feel confident we have the tools to keep going. Jared has also been great with our whole family. He builds trust quickly, explains things clearly, and makes everyone feel comfortable and capable. You never feel judged or overwhelmed. If you're a first-time dog owner, especially with a young puppy, I'd strongly recommend working with him early. It sets the right foundation and saves you a lot of stress down the line.

We learned how to incorporate tools like the e-collar and prong collar correctly and humanely as part of a balanced training program. I really appreciated the direct, no-nonsense communication style. He gives you the facts and the fixes without sugarcoating, which is exactly what we needed. We now have a dog that we can trust off-leash even in distracting environments. The best testament to the training was seeing our GSD maintain his recall and stay by our side, even when the other dogs he was hanging out with ignored their owners and ran off to cause chaos. If you want real-world results and a trainer who tells it like it is, I highly recommend Mike.

She had difficulty adjusting to being on leash and this otherwise affectionate and sweet pup would turn into a feral demon when she would see another dog while out on a walk. I didn't know how to solve this problem and was referred to Mike for help. We took his 6 week Puppy 1 class followed by his 6 week Puppy 2 class and I am so grateful for his guidance. In the classes, we learned many basic skills - sit, down, stay, come, heel, emergency stops, and combinations of all of these as well as techniques for handling, cradling, and examining her body. Mike gave me the foundation for working with and communicating with Betty and it has made a huge impact. I am more confident in handling Betty and she is more understanding of my direction. Our morning walks now include time dedicated to training and reviewing what we've learned. It's a lot of fun for me, and I wasn't expecting that. Betty also enjoys our morning routine and clearly has fun showing off what a smart girl she is. With appropriate training, her leash reactivity is much better and continuing to improve, but it will probably take a while to break this issue. Mike is a great trainer and I would definitely recommend his classes.

At around three or four months old, he began exhibiting both separation anxiety and serious reactivity. We knew he was a sweet dog, but his behavior made it impossible to convince others of his sweet nature. After the first trainer, proved an epic failure We began to think that we would have to return him to the shelter. He was utterly unmanageable and getting bigger each passing day We knew returning him would most likely result in him being put to sleep. His reactivity would've barred him from adoption. We absolutely could not allow that to happen. My wife happened upon Freakin Pawsome's website and the outstanding things people had to say about Will. We reached out to Will and he agreed to meet with Mischief At Will's first meeting with Mischief Mischief did his very best Cujo impersonation. I was sincerely worried Will would refuse to train him. I was surprised when Will agreed to take on our challenged Shepherd puppy and very grateful. Once Will introduced himself to Mischief Mischief took to Will immediately in less than 10 minutes. Mischief was taking basic commands from Will and I knew that we had found the right trainer. Over the next four months, I witnessed a total metamorphosis in Mischief. Will very patiently inconsistently guided Mischief to being a truly happy dog! As Will thoughtfully, patiently guided Mischief to being a good dog, He taught an even more important lesson to myself and my wife on how to be good dog parents. Will has given us the tools to continue to expand Mischief's development and Will's expertise has paid off on so many levels. Will quite literally save mischief life and allowed him to become a happy well adjusted family companion. He is also given our whole family a peace we did not believe possible, given Mischief's anxiety, and behaviors before We met Will. We want everyone to know that separation anxiety and reactivity can be overcome. Will has proven it beyond any shadow of a doubt. Mischief is a true testament to Will's expertise. Freakin Pawsome is exemplary in their methods And if you are consistent with the training and the daily implementation of the training, you will have the dog you desire. Thank you, Will you have our deepest gratitude

Before training, we struggled with leash pulling, barking, lunging at other dogs, and nonstop chaos whenever someone came through the door. We were honestly at our wits' end. Everything changed after I saw Bryan in Jackson Square walking a calm, perfectly behaved pack of dogs. We started weekly family lessons in January 2026 with our dogs and our two 12-year-old daughters, and progress began almost immediately. Bryan quickly helped us realize the humans needed training too. With consistent coaching, support, and a board-and-train program, the transformation has been incredible. Our dogs are now well-behaved both at home and in public. We can comfortably walk them, take them to parks and outdoor restaurants, and genuinely enjoy being with them. Friends and family who knew our dogs before cannot believe the difference in their behavior. Thank you, Bryan. You really can teach old dogs new tricks.

Bit of background: Maggie has done 12 weekly group training sessions with another trainer and is generally well-behaved. However, she doesn't read the social signals from other dogs well (ex: when they want to be left alone), tends to jump on everyone at all times, doesn't respond to commands unless there's a treat involved, and lacks confidence. What I enjoyed about the program is that it includes several in person training sessions during the B&T. We got to see Maggie's progress as time went on and most importantly, we were trained on their behavior psychology and how to become the leaders of our pack. I will say I was nervous about implenting the ecollar but Bryan has demonstrated that it is a safe and effective training tool-- I got to see it used as a tool for correction that Maggie actually responded well to. Maggie is coming home tomorrow and hand-off includes an in-home training sessions to ensure her progress doesn't regress which I appreciate. From what I've seen, Maggie has become more confident, responds to recalls in distracting places (no treats involved), learned to self-soothe, and plays/greets other dogs/people with manners. Truly the best investment I've made in my dog and I'd highly recommend Mutt and Tumble to all dog parents!

I have decades of experience fostering dogs and personally adopting many of my own, and over the years I've worked with a wide range of trainers. Without question, Steve is in a league entirely of his own. His talent, intuition, and depth of understanding when it comes to dogs is extraordinary. He doesn't just train dogs; he teaches humans how to truly understand them. What made the experience even more unforgettable was the joy he brought into the day. We laughed constantly. At one point my cheeks genuinely hurt from hours of smiling and laughter. And yet, amid all of that warmth and humor, we walked away with an incredibly clear, grounded, and practical understanding of his methods and a deep sense of confidence in our ability to apply them. Steve's approach is refreshingly doable: just five minutes of training per day, paired with his ongoing availability as a resource. That combination alone feels invaluable. We literally just completed our training day today, so I plan to update this review in a few months with more detail about long-term ease of execution and results with our dog, Griffin. But one thing I feel compelled to share now is this: throughout the entire day, even while Griffin was dramatically protesting (vocally, and with flair), Steve remained calm, steady, and completely unfazed. Griffin didn't love everything he was being asked to do, but he clearly adored Steve. He never cowered, never shut down, never showed fear. That level of trust speaks volumes. At one point, I asked Steve about scheduling an additional training day for one of our other dogs. His response was thoughtful, sensible, and deeply ethical: he told me it wouldn't be necessary. He explained that the principles I was learning with Griffin would absolutely apply to our other dogs as well, and that he'd be more than happy to answer questions along the way. That moment really matters to me because it so clearly reflects that Steve is driven by genuine passion and care for people and dogs, not by squeezing every possible dollar out of his clients. I also want to wholeheartedly acknowledge Tasha, who was incredibly kind, responsive, and compassionate throughout the scheduling process. We had to cancel our original training day due to a traumatic injury our other dog, Enzo, sustained: a spinal stroke. Tasha immediately offered to refund our deposit without hesitation. When I shared that I still very much wanted to work with Steve, she later went out of her way to find us an earlier date than originally offered after I asked to be notified of any cancellations. That level of care and humanity meant so much during a really difficult time. I am profoundly grateful for Steve and his entire team. This was one of the most positive, affirming, and empowering experiences I've ever had as a dog guardian. If you're looking for the best, congratulations. You have found it with One Day Dog Training!

From the start.. Finn really took to Steve. Steve is personable, knowledgeable, and patient. His love for dogs is felt. He put our minds at ease from the start. Through the training, Steve took time to teach us how to better understand dog behavior and how we can better communicate what we want our dog to do...It was very enlightening. It was an education for us and Finn! At the end of our 3 hour session, we were really amazed to see a transformed young dog. We are soooo proud of Finn. The 3 of us have learned so much!
