The communication that had been so key early on had faded, and I honestly didn't know if we were on the schedule or had been completely punted. I had to follow up to ensure things were on track. It took multiple weeks to have someone out. I think it's because of the frequent rains throwing off the schedule, but again it felt my messages were sort of going to a void. They gave me about an hours notice when someone was coming out, and he did a really nice job. I was very surprised when I got the bill and it was $125 more than it's ever been in the past. Especially surprising because the email thread we had been going back and forth in had our prior invoice at $275, not at $400. When I asked what was up they cited that it took their employee three hours and my gutters were more clogged than before. To me, nothing has really changed, if anything we have had more trees trimmed back, and more importantly, I didn't know that would affect the cost so dramatically. It had been under a year and half since I last had them out. Had I known, I absolutely would've gone with a more reasonable option. I also felt like their response was a bit off-putting, and I'm surprised because again we've hired them at least three times and I've had such positive interactions up until now. I'll be looking elsewhere moving forward; they do a nice job, and are a professional enough company, but the lack of customer service and shockingly high bill will have me finding a new go-to for my annual gutter cleanings.

We knew there was a risk of the job costing more than quoted because of shoddy materials from the previous roofer being used and Chad, our sales contact, was up front about that from the get go. We didn't end up using their financing but the process to apply was quick and simple. Then they had their gutter contractor come out to replace our gutters as well and they look wonderful (and work which is what matters most!). While there were issues, concerns or miscommunications we were always contacted quickly by Chad or Frank, their foreman, and walked through the problem with as much care as possible. Update 8/26/20 - after my original review I was contacted by Will Andersen, the owner of the…read morecompany. What a night and day difference from our initial impressions! Increasing my review from two stars to five, and that's only because six stars aren't an option! Will checked into what had happened with our original quote. Turns out the lack of follow up was due to a bad handoff of info when the estimator who we originally worked with was let go from the company, and our estimate had fallen between the cracks. Will sugarcoated nothing, and was straight with us on what had happened. Not only was he extremely apologetic for the situation, he was extremely determined to show us that our original experience is not what Andersen Contracting is about as a company. Will came out personally to rework the original quote, which we had in a matter of days. He was helpful in assisting us in planning the project, answered all of our questions, and went above and beyond in adjusting the quote as our scope of work evolved. Here's the kicker - over a period of weeks while it took us far, FAR too long to make our final selections and decisions, Will was nothing but patient and helpful... I'm embarrassed to admit he was far MORE patient with us than we were in our first dealings with his company. He checked in periodically to check on status and offer any assistance we might need, but was never pushy or pressuring. Great customer service, and I can't say enough good things about how well we've been treated. I'm pleased to report we've finally made our final selections and are ready to move forward with our project - and that we have now experienced the reasons why Andersen contracting has the stellar reviews they carry here and on other sites. I look forward to reporting back on the finished project and sharing pictures, and I know we're in good hands.
