She has so much fun at preschool, has made so many friends, and overall has made great strides in her learning and development thanks to SOTV. Our favorite things about SOTV: - The teachers! All of them really care about the kids and the kids love them back - They organize fun and engaging events almost every week - They are constantly rotating toys and activities for the kids and get the kids involved in setting up, cleaning up, etc. - They have a sandbox - my daughter loves it! My daughter also has allergies and eczema, and the teachers have accommodated her well. There's consistent and easy communication through their app, and they share photos and updates throughout the day, which really puts my mind at ease. For the level of care, pricing is really reasonable. I'm really glad I found SOTV - they're providing amazing care and education for my daughter.

As a current parent of two…read morechildren enrolled here, I can honestly say it has been one of the best decisions our family has made. Every teacher made the transition feel smooth, supportive, and reassuring from day one. Here are a few of the things that made it an easy choice for our family: - An exceptional team of teachers and a strong sense of community. - Warm, homemade lunches. - Daily snacks served with milk. - Lillio app for parents. It was important to us to find a center that provides hot meals and snacks. We've found that our children are often more willing to eat when they're alongside their peers, and that has absolutely been true for ours. Both of my children finish their meals and snacks with far more enthusiasm at school than they do at home! From the very beginning, the staff has created a warm, nurturing, and welcoming environment. The teachers are not only caring, but truly attentive to each child's unique personality and developmental needs. It's clear they love what they do, and that care shines through in every interaction. All of the teachers are incredibly patient and kind with the children. I always encourage prospective parents to tour the campus and talk to current families, you'll quickly see how special this place is. My youngest was previously enrolled at a larger facility, where I often felt more like just a number and frequently felt rushed. The sense of community there was lacking. In contrast, SOTV's more intimate campus fosters a strong sense of connection, allowing teachers to provide individualized attention and thoughtfully support each child's growth and development. As a parent, I also find the feedback they provide to be incredibly valuable. Ms. Lana has been such a positive influence on both of my children. She truly wants the best for each child and partners closely with parents to support their growth. When my youngest started school still using a pacifier, Ms. Lana gently encouraged us to begin weaning him off it and supported us every step of the way. It was a gradual process, but one we really needed, and her encouragement made all the difference. Ms. Lana also played a huge role in getting my oldest excited about potty training. I felt intimidated by the process, but she made it fun and encouraging, celebrating every small win with cheers, applause, and high fives. Ms. Gabby has such a special connection with her students. When my oldest first started and had a hard time separating, she showed so much patience and care. During nap time, when he struggled to settle, she would gently hold his hand and offer a small stuffed toy from her lanyard to comfort him. Those small acts of kindness meant so much and helped him feel safe and secure. Ms. Gabby is also currently the teacher in the Butterfly classroom, where my youngest is enrolled, and her presence has made the transition significantly easier for him. She brings such a calm, nurturing energy to the classroom, which has helped my child feel safe and comfortable. A special thank you to Ms. Darien, who has made a truly meaningful impact on our family, especially in helping my oldest through the potty-training process. What felt so overwhelming at home became much more manageable with her guidance, helpful tips, and consistent encouragement. She approaches everything with kindness and understanding, and her support has helped build my child's confidence during such an important milestone. Ms. Darien also brings so much joy to the children with her playful personality and fun jokes, creating an environment where they feel comfortable, happy, and confident. Mr. Gregg, who teaches the students in the oldest class, brings such a calm and steady presence. He also makes the best paper airplanes! Thanks to his influence, my oldest has learned to enjoy cleaning up and helping put things away at the end of the day--which has been such a gift at home. Mr. Gregg is alwants so patient and caring with each student. My son has told us that he wants to grow up to be strong just like Mr. Gregg! Additionally, SOTV also uses the Lillio app for parents. I love this benefit because it provides updates throughout the day, meals, naps, activities, and photos. I feel so connected and I especially appreciate the glimpse into their daily experiences and learning moments, as well as the ease of communication with teachers. It adds an extra layer of reassurance and transparency that makes a big difference as a parent. Not a lot of preschools have this and we are grateful that SOTV offers it!

My child absolutely lights up when talking about her. Esther has been incredibly patient, warm, and attentive with the kids. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and truly cares about each child in her class. She takes the time to connect with them individually, listens to them, and creates an environment where they feel safe, seen, and excited to learn. As a parent, it means so much to know your child is in the hands of someone so kind and dedicated. Esther has that rare combination of structure and warmth that makes children thrive. My son has grown in confidence and enthusiasm since being in her care, and I couldn't be more grateful. Thank you, Ms. Esther, for everything you do. Teachers like you make all the difference, and we feel lucky to have you as part of our summer camp experience.

Unfortunately, our overall impression of the school and several other staff members was disappointing. One experience that really stood out involved a teacher named Esther, who teaches the 4-5-year-old class. While she may appear friendly at first, our experience with her was very different. One morning, my wife was holding the security gate open for an elderly grandfather who was walking into the preschool. Instead of appreciating the situation, Esther immediately yelled at my wife to close the gate and began lecturing her. Even after my wife explained that she was simply helping an elderly person enter safely, Esther continued to scold her and insisted that the grandfather could open the gate himself. We found her response unnecessarily harsh and lacking basic compassion and professionalism. Another concern was the school's annual Jogathon fundraiser. Families are encouraged to donate money, and children who participate receive a special T-shirt. Staff members then visit the classrooms to celebrate with those children by handing out small toys and snacks. We chose not to participate because we already pay significant tuition and did not feel obligated to make an additional donation. Later, the school sent parents a video of the celebration. Watching it was heartbreaking. My daughter was one of the children without the fundraiser shirt, and she was left standing in the back while the other children celebrated together. She was essentially separated from the group because we didn't donate. Regardless of the purpose of the fundraiser, I don't believe young children should ever be singled out or excluded based on whether their parents contribute financially. The children have no control over those decisions, and schools should make every effort to ensure all students feel included. I'm glad we ultimately decided to move our daughter to another school. While we appreciated her classroom teacher, our overall experience left us disappointed, and I would not recommend this preschool based on what our family experienced.

My daughter attended Mini when she was 1.5 years old. Now she is 4.5 year old, and becomes more verbal. She started to tell me things I didn't know back then. And I was very upset to hear. To give a little background. My child only speaks Chinese at home before going to Mimi. After 7 months being there, I was told by Jean that my kid never spoke a word in school, not even making any sound. I got her diagnosed, and she maybe had selective mutism (not speak at school, but talk a lot in other setting). At first, I thought it was because the language that she got confused by Chinese and English. Now, relating to what my kid told me now, and thinking my child' reactions back then, I was really sad. My kid now told me, she didn't like Mimi, because all the teachers would yell at her, and hit her on the head if she didn't behave well. They would put her in a room by herself as a punishment. She even imitated what the teachers did to her, and it broke my heart. It is really really bad. These reminded me of when I picked her up back then. They would sit quietly and nicely by the table, playing. (They put the kids into "waiting area" for parents to pick up, and sometimes they can sat there for over 30 mins). When I first toured the school, I was so surprised that the kids were so behaved for that age. I even felt that the place was way too quiet for their age. Also, when I picked her up, sometimes she was clearly sad and upset. Now looking at the photos Jean sent me, (and compared to the photos in her new school), she indeed was sad and unhappy in every single photo. I felt so bad now that I ignored all these signs back then. That I left my kids miserable in that place for 7 months. Afraid, and not even saying a word. When I talked to her doctor about selective mutism, I kept asking the doctor if it is the traumatized experience that caused her this. The doctor said, an anxious environment could trigger it. I have been blaming myself for a long while for it. After she transferred to a new school in Walnut (it has both Chinese and English teachers), after 3 months, she started to talk, and really thrive in the new daycare. On the first day in the new school, the teachers told me that they were so surprised that my kid was so behaved, a little bit too behaved. They said she is very nervous about things and very sensitive. I am glad that the teachers in the new school are truly supportive, and give her so much love. She become the most talkative kid in the class after 6 months (speaks in English). I can clearly see the difference. She is so happy everyday. I think Korean are like Chinese, very strict and disciplined sometimes. I am not sure if my kid exaggerated. But what I know is, after we transferred to the new school, one day, I passed by the Mimi to go shopping, and she was so scared and screamed "I am not going to Mimi!" Every time, I mentioned Mimi or driving toward Mimi's direction, she would give me very strong emotions and said I am not going back. Although of these things, I still think they have some good things. The place is clean and organized (my kid didn't get much sick during the time there). They are flexible. I remembered we were busy during a period when we moved to a new place, and they were accommodating our needs. I hope my kid is only an individual case. Maybe it is just her that didn't fit well into Mimi. I sincerely hope other kids could have a better experience.
