I wanted to be there…read morefor the job, but was told it was easier for them to do it on Friday, June 1st, a day I was scheduled to be out of town. I forgot to leave a check and I called Thursday afternoon to reschedule. The woman I spoke with assured me that the job could be done anyway so I arranged through numerous phone calls to my bank and to Lawson's Tree Experts to have $600 wired to their account. I went out of my way (while in upstate New York) to accommodate Lawson Tree Experts. The main branch that I wanted taken out is still there! I have had two friends lose their back car window to this tree(one car was totaled), and I paid my $600 to insure that it doesn't happen to anyone else. Instead, I came home to discover that the job is unfinished but my money is gone, and now nobody will return my phone calls. I have record of each phone call I've made (nearly every other day since June 5th) and nobody at Lawson's Tree Experts office will returned my calls. I feel it's imperative to get this last limb removed before another car(or innocent unsuspecting person) gets hit by the limb that should have been removed. My phone number has been left each time, and Lawson's was quick to return my calls when they were expecting my money, but now that my money is in their hands, I get no response. This is unprofessional. It has been 27 days since Lawson's Tree Experts has been paid.

Matt and Kevin were so knowledgeable with Calvert County codes and regulations and offered a wonderful rendering to address the codes and safety! The price was fair and we plan on making them our go-to for our quoted project and many more projects! We love that they gave us a fair price upfront and didn't bargain with us once we said we could not do the project at that time. We asked several friends who each have successful landscape companies in different states and they confirmed the quote we received from Lawn Artist was very fair. We gave Kevin and Matt several inspiration pictures and the rendering we received more than met our expectations so much so that we are putting off saving for a needed kitchen renovation to save for this project instead. After scheduling, the scheduling manager continued to contact me numerous times, prior to our meeting, to confirm my availability, in which I double checked all the pieces above. Never was I told to allow for a 30minute window, so imagine my frustration when I blocked off an hour for work 2:00-3:00pm, and the guy showed up at 2:30pm, upset with me because I needed to end at 3:00pm. The estimate went quickly. I tried to cover everything we wanted, allowing time for him to take measurements, draw schematics, and have time for follow-up questions, but it felt disconnected and rushed. I was told we would schedule a follow-up Zoom appointment to walk through everything- I scheduled a time period with the scheduling manager, again blocking off work- only to have them call 20mins before the appointment and cancel on us because they weren't ready with information. Then I waited days for them to call back to re-schedule the appointment, but never got contacted. Overall, it wasn't a good relationship. We didn't feel cared for or considered as new clients, so we removed them as a possible vendor.

"On February 4th, I notified that the caps were missing from my gate. I informed the lender of my satisfaction expecting great customer service and that this issue would be satisfied and in a decent timeframe. To date there has been no action taken and my texts are now going unanswered. There is also issues with the lock. If I knew the follow up would be this way, I never would have approved the lender to remit payment without having these issues fixed. I'm providing text correspondences that show the lack of communication and genuine concern with resolving what was a minor issue. The reason for less than 5 stars, is, in addition to getting rid of weeds, they also removed a number of mature plants, which really pissed off my wife. Yucca plants, and Crepe Myrtle that she had purchased at the National Arboretum. They were told if there was any question about whether something was a weed or should be removed, they should contact us first, but they didn't. The experience left me feeling like I had gone to a barber and asked for a little off the sides and top and walked out with a crew cut. It looks nice, but was not what was asked for.

They removed more than half of my Blooming perennials they took a Blooming red hot poker removed 3/4 's of it then cut the leaves to the ground leaving about a dozen 1inch stubs. They removed 10+ year old yucca plants that were currently in bloom they removed about 10 varieties of daylilies not thinned, them completely threw them away. I had an additional 4x8 garden box full of daylilies they removed all but a 1 Sq ft plant in one corner. I had 2 varieties of iris that were just thrown out. I had a miniature crepe myrtle that was ripped out. I had a small crepe myrtle next to a larger older one that was ripped out. I had a variegated yucca that was removed.As well as other plants. It would take me at least $500 to replace what they removed with just 1 of each variety they threw out let alone have something of the size they removed.i don't think they know plants Unless they think if it doesn't come from home depot it needs to be destroyed. I WOULDN'T HIRE THEM TO DO ANYTHING. They even mangled some of the few plants they left when they spread the mulch. If you want your landscaping hacked up go with these people otherwise run the other way
