The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because when I booked the appointment I was told grooming would be $65 but when I went to pay it was $85 plus a fee for using my card. I ignored it the first time, thinking maybe it was just a one-off situation. I understand things happen. But the next visit was the same--and even when I picked up my dog, I wasn't able to speak with the groomer. At that point, I started to wonder if the groomer I had originally requested was even still working there. My instincts tell me No. The last cut confirmed it--my dog was left uneven and choppy, nothing like the quality of her first groom. If you are like me and are very invested in the best care for your fur babies, proceed with caution. Not being able to communicate one-on-one with the groomer was a huge turn-off. Ever since I saw this 4 star Groomer I knew I had to take my senior pup there. We have been coming for about a year now.. This is the only place I feel comfortable bringing my baby, because they take on only one pet at a time, and have never caused him any cuts or issues. I know he is grumpy in his old age, so I appreciate how kindly they treat him even if he gets a little saucy lol. Took my goldendoodle in to get groomed. This was our second time there. The first time was absolutely amazing so i decided to bring my dog in to get groomed again for the 2nd time. This time it didn't go as great because as soon as we got home i noticed that my dog was bleeding from both ears. I texted this business as soon as i noticed with pictures. I couldn't even touch my dogs ears to clean the blood off of them because she was obviously in pain. 2 weeks later her ears are healing but you can obviously see how much of a cut her poor ears suffered. There is no way my dog didn't yelp or that the groomer didn't notice how severe he cut my dogs ears.. even if it was by accident, he should've mentioned it as soon as i picked my dog up instead of hoping that one wouldn't notice. I am highly disappointed at the fact that the groomer couldn't be upfront about accidentally hurting my dog. We just had our Golden Retriever groomed by Peter. He did an amazing job with her. She is still young and feisty, but he worked so well with her. She looked beautiful when he finished. We have been getting our dog groomed at Green Paws over the last year and are very satisfied with their services. I take my pup here every year for her dental cleaning and always have a good experience. This comment though is specifically for Iris. I was blown away at her kindness and over the top customer service today! I had to drop my pup off for her annual dental cleaning and a terrible storm (heavy lightning and thunder) started as soon as I needed to bring my dog inside. I had my 10 month old with me and it was very hectic trying to safely get both of them inside. Long story short, in all of the shuffle, I lost my phone. Iris suggested it may be in my car and literally walked to my car in the pouring rain for me to go look for it so I wouldn't have to bring my baby back outside in the storm. She came back into the store with an umbrella for us and offered to text my husband and let him no my phone was lost when she couldn't find it in the car so he wouldn't worry. Ultimately, I ended up finding my phone when generous strangers picked it up and held onto it for me until they saw me pass by again but I was just blown away by iris and her care and consideration for my family while we were there for my pups service at the store. I saw the mostly great reviews and decided to give Green Paws a try. I have a Golden Retriever and Golden Shepard. I recently move to Plantation from Miami and was looking for a new groomer for my pups. The grooming was fine, but the price is not worth it. My dogs are between 65-70lbs which they charged me for "giant" breed. I'd hardly consider them giants. The nail in the coffin for me was getting a deshedding treatment done for them. They charged $50 per dog for the treatment, and my pups were shedding drastically more the first 24 hours after their appointment and are shedding just as much as they did before getting them groomed. I was excited to give a local business a try, but save your money and go somewhere else. read more

We have a husky and for those who do not know they shed once for 365 days a year and it is extreme We can vacuum and an hour later the floor is just covered as if we never Vacuumed. We have had our vet give her a bath but that really did not do much. We reach a point that we knew we had to do something and knew we needed to thin out her undercoat. So we decided to check out groomers that in itself was interesting you start reading reviews and all of a sudden in between some good reviews you would see some pretty awful stuff. I was about to give up when I came upon Green Paws groomers in Plantation Florida. So I called and spoke with Hugh nice guy and told him about how we could make a sweater from all the shedding we had on our floor. He made me feel comfortable so we scheduled an appointment and Hugh worked it in for the next day. We brought Xena in at 2:30 and we were told she would be ready at 5:30 which I found hard to believe since it took 5 hours at the vet to dry her so I had my doubts. So at 5PM we get a call from Hugh that Xena was ready. I was in disbelief so we went to pick her up and I was blown away on what an amazing job they did on her and yes she was dry. It cost a little more than I thought...wait for it.. but here we are two weeks later and not a bit of hair on our floor. So was it worth it? dam right it was every penny and not only do we have clean floors we also just inherited a new groomer in the process. We did not have the opportunity to look around the store but from a quick view they carry some interesting pet supplies. I found Green Paws Pet Market on Yelp when searching for a local business to buy a specific brand of dog food for my French Bulldog. The owner, Hugh, answered my call and was extremely helpful and friendly in helping me procure my order for pickup since I had found him all the way from Aventura which is 30 minutes away. Green Paws isn't nearly the closest pet store to me but it was certainly the highest rated with perfect 5 stars. I care about my dog too much not to go the distance and I love to support a local business like this one. It was more than worth it as I was able to have a helpful conversation in the shop with Hugh regarding my dog's current stomach ache which has been bothering him for a few days now. I ended up buying a $50+ bag of dog food and a 12 inch bully stick that my pup loves. Had to keep the trend with the five star reviews as this shop has earned it.
