This place is amazing! Wonderful cheese, charcuterie, pastry, bread , wine , pasta and coffee. What stood out the most to me, as a chef, was the very knowledgeable and well trained staff. This morning we were helped by a young lady who was very professional. She cut our meats and cheeses, made my macchiato, was baking and ran the register. Great first experience at Good Mansion Wines! I had the sausage, broccoli and mozzarella pizza. Loved everything about it except the broccoli, just not sure that was the combination for me. My wife had the #1 sandwich, with goat bruche cheese. She loved it! I tried it and liked it too. It was like an explosion of flavor in your mouth. For dessert we shared a piece of baklava and it was amazing! Great atmosphere with soft music playing. Casual dining experience with a relaxed atmosphere. This beautiful old home is now a wine/cheese/coffee/sandwich shop and they have tasting parties most Fridays I'm told. A super nice lady greeted us at the door and gave a brief tour. They serve Italian-style coffees and French sandwiches. I had duck pate with an expresso and it was excellent. Their limited seating may become an issue as they grow. I'll be back. read more

As good as the food is, I have to be honest that for me, I haven't had many pleasant experiences there in person. It's hard to maneuver bc it's small and usually very crowded. One time a couple tried to sit literally on top of us as we were eating our lunch which was awkward and uncomfortable. Also i wish there was a better flow for purchasing to checking out and maybe a sign for new people who don't know the system. You back track and usually fight the incoming people arriving. Lovely place in wheeling, didn't feel like I was in WV. The pastries were out of this world, such a unique shop.

I really want to like this place but I don't. It's cute inside with a large selection of wines but their patisserie deli area is underwhelming. We stopped by today after seeing an Instagram post less than an hour earlier advertising their Yule log. We also planned on getting something to eat. When we got there, despite only one other customer in the deli area and 3 employees behind the counter, not a single person acknowledged us or said anything. Their display windows in the deli were practically empty. There wasn't anything enticing to purchase and eat. There was one, just one Yule log which was purchased by that one other person there. I get that things run out but there is no excuse for ignoring customers. There aren't a lot of choices when it comes to patisserie and ready to eat. read more

This is not just a fantastic place to buy wine, they have the most amazing deli and bakery here as well. This house has been beautifully remodeled. As you walk through the extensive wine shop, through the back tiled hallway, you come upon a glass case full of gourmet meats and cheeses, reminiscent of a hip bakery in New York City. They sell various imported oils, vinegars, olives, sauces, and even authentic French flour. They serve incredible sandwiches, pastries, quiche, pizzas and the best coffee/espresso available anywhere in Wheeling. I am a major coffee snob and this really is the best espresso our city has to offer, and at such reasonable prices. $1.50 for a genuine, delightfully tasty latte is fantastic! Their bread selection is incredible and also the best I've found in Wheeling, a thousand times better than the chain restaurants/bakeries like Panera. Their breads are made with non GMO French flours and yeast and even those who have a gluten intolerance will likely be able to enjoy their bread because their yeast is fermented. The sesame is our favorite and usually sells out fast so get there early if you want to buy one. We finally have our very own hip deli and bakery in Wheeling, WV. I highly recommend stopping by to enjoy an amazing espresso and a slice of quiche. read more
