Very rude staff. Surprising for a business focused on caring for animals. Would not send my dog here.

My pup has been attending Good Mojo Manor for many years. It's really gone down hill since Covid. They have plenty of catching up to due including disinfecting protocols, keeping their webcams up and sticking to their promises. I recently recommended a friend use them for her new one year old. When watching the webcam (which was working that day), I watch as the pup stressed out asking to go out to poop. It was clear she was asking. She would run to the door then back to the attendant, who was not very attentive. One half hour later, the pup had to go and used the raised cot to poop. The non-attentive, attendant struck again. She did not clean up the poop for another 15 minutes while other dogs walked over the sniff. Not only did it take 15 minutes to clean up, she never disinfected the cot. I watched for a long time until the pups went outdoors. Isn't this how infections spread? I was disappointed. A month later my friend boarded her dog at Mojo. She came back with kennel cough! Ugh! This was the post the Canine Respiratory Virus outbreak in late 22 and early 23 where many of the cases came from Good Mojo! In the past, if there was an infection lurking in their facility, Good Mojo Patrons would receive an email alerting them to the danger. I received no such notice regarding the Kennel Cough. This morning when looking at the webcam, urine has been left on the floor from last nights sleepover or this mornings play. It still there 2 hours later. Every other daycare and boarding facility alert their pup owners of any infections their facilities and close down to disinfect. My pup always received lots of love and hugs at Mojo before Covid. Now I have to pay for 10 minutes of love! No way! If they do not like dogs enough to love on them, they are in the wrong business. The daycare I have been using, welcome here with hugs and love and she runs to them. That use to be Mojo! I do not believe Good Mojo recovered from Covid which is sad, but we cannot honor, recommend or use their facility where simple protocols like cleanliness and infections alerts are not practiced. our first two visits for grooming went well. our first was shaving our Doodle for the summer. a few months later we went back and it was fine, but I'm guessing the groomer didn't enjoy dealing with his curly fur because at my next appointment 3 months later she turned us away when we got in the door saying he had too many mats and she would shave him but refused to do anything else. it's winter and he can't be shaved, so we left. the groomer was very unreasonable and I honestly think she was just lazy. read more

My dog has been through training, goes to dog parks, and doggie daycares with no problems at all. He is a mid-sized and well mannered dog. I bought the 1/2 day 10 pack to try this place out and at first is was awesome. The first 9 mornings were great, but I had to schedule the last one in the afternoon. The afternoon staff member watching the dogs was concerning. My dog was in and out of time-out for over two hours. He was playing with the dogs, but she felt the need to keep putting him in time-out. I was watching the live webcams, so I know that he was behaving. The way she was acting concerned me so much that I cancelled my two week boarding appointment I had scheduled for him (which would have given them almost $1k in profits). Also, you have to pay $15 for them to cuddle your dog for 10mins in boarding and I just don't trust that... The "Halloween Party" was $10 and all he got was a cheap piece of material wrapped around his neck and a lack-luster photograph that someone lazily took on their cellphone. His head barely even in frame. read more

Our last day care visit was August 28th, and on 9/5 one of my dogs had to begin antibiotics for a respiratory illness. He has required X-rays, is on his third round of antibiotics, and will require additional X-rays later this month. Due to the illness contracted, and despite best efforts to keep them separated, my other dog has contracted the illness and has required antibiotics and will likely needs X-rays as well. It seems there is no end in sight for my two senior dogs. I am at my wits end not knowing if I will wake up to a dog that has died due to the neglect of these facilities. Multiple reviews of illnesses since. My heart is breaking. read more

We have had a long time relationship with this facility that ended today when we prearranged to have our seven month old puppy Lab visit and remain overnight beginning on the morning of Thanksgiving and ending on the following day. The "new manager" would not allow our pup to be with other dogs or sleep cage free as we previously discussed with the staff. Her snarky response was "it's our policy to not allow dogs who have not ben neutered to be with other dogs." This stunt has cost us time and pecuniary damages and disrupted our holiday travel plans. read more

Our dog was there for 4 nights for boarding. 2 days later Kennel Cough! He hasn't been to a dog park or anywhere else in the last week so it can't be from anywhere else. I'm unsure why I was never notified of your response, but I simply want to say that your efforts to scrutinize me as a person when I truthfully explained a situation at your business is appalling at best. Your staff member abused my dog. The animals were playing, yes. 2 dogs, not the group you mentioned. In order for an 85 pound dog to TUMBLE at the hands of your staff is absolutely nothing to defend. I never received the report from the company you "hired" to review the tape, so I'm calling fallacy on that claim. But, if you did send it off for review that means you have a copy to share with me and the public! Great! Go ahead and email that to me!!! Since you claim your staff didn't abuse my dog then you'll have no problem with it being seen. Good mojo is a joke. Since sharing my story I've had dozens of folks message me saying the had the same experience I did. Abusive, unqualified, rude, poorly trained staff in too high ratios "watching" dogs. read more

MY DOG COULD DIE BECAUSE OF THEM I sent my four HEALTHY labs to good mojo for ten days while my family and I went on a trip. Prior to dropping them off they went to their vet and got vaccines updated, bloodwork, exams and they were all perfectly healthy. We get a call from good mojo a few days before we return home from our trip that they were quarantining one of my labs and then another one a day or two later due to a fever and a few coughs. The day before we leave our trip we get another call from them saying they are taking one of my dogs who is 3 years old to an emergency vet. There he was diagnosed with viral pneumonia. When we arrived home that day and go and pick up our other three labs. All three of them had green eye discharge and one of them had one of their eyes crusted shut. When we asked the good mojo supervisor about this she said that is because they do not wipe the dogs eye because they don't want to transfer anything to another dog. Once we took our three dogs home we knew something wasn't right. We then took our three labs to the same emergency vet my other lab is now hospitalized in. Those three labs were also diagnosed with pneumonia. We picked our labs up on Monday and were told good mojo would be calling us Tuesday to check in on since they were "so concerned." We didn't hear from them until Friday. All they offered was $500 for each dog. My lab that is still hospitalized is currently on oxygen, a feeding tube, a catheter, fluids, multiple antibiotics and medications to keep him comfortable and may die! But good mojo told us they have no other dogs sick and there is no outbreak. That is impossible I drop off my 4 healthy labs who were checked by a vet and pick up three labs sick with pneumonia and one in critical condition in the icu dying and no one knows if he will recover! If good mojo really cared about their pets they would be shutting down for a few days to completely deep clean and disinfect their facility. But THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS AT ALL. They don't care if they get sick and may die all they care about is money! I would never in a million years recommend anyone ever let their animal step foot in their neglectful facility and will do everything in my power to get them shut down! read more

I did a 10 day board and train earlier this year and my dog was treated well and I could see him on the cameras almost 100% of the time which gave me some peace of mind! I would just recommend being aware of what their illness insurance does and does not cover before having the peace of mind your vet bills will be covered/helped with. I picked up my dog and he had giardia, tapeworm and later developed oral papillomas. Illnesses happen in large dog groups. I get it. But I called in regards to the insurance I purchased and none of it was covered as they claimed they can't be certain he got it with them... even though he spent the last 10 days in their care. So I was left with a fun vet bill after paying them over a grand for the board and train and daily insurance. But we were pleased with the board and train itself, they truly treated him so so well and helped us sharpen his basic commands. read more

Today, I took my dog (a high energy 2-year-old chocolate lab) in for an evaluative visit, so that I could board him while on vacation in a few weeks. When I dropped him off in the morning, the staff member who greeted us was pleasant and immediately built a rapport with my nervous dog. She was calming and clearly knew how to get him to trust her. When I arrived to pick him up in the afternoon, the staff said he had been "wicked good," that he had played well with the other dogs and that he would be able to board there. While a different staff member went to get my dog from the play area, I booked the boarding appointment and was excited about the care my dog would receive. Then, the staff member brought my dog out, said she couldn't figure out his harness, and then as I turned to leave, she said that my dog had just tried to jump over the fence from the play area and that he was an "INSTANT FAIL." I was shocked and started to leave. As I walked out the door, the staffer who had booked our appointment in the computer called out "I'll cancel the booking!" This could and should have been handled in a way that didn't make me feel like my dog was an unacceptable problem. The staff member's tone was curt, without a hint of sympathy, sensitivity, or tact. The overall impression she gave was that this was something my dog and I had done wrong, and we were being rejected. It was incredibly unprofessional. There is a way to tactfully handle issues like these - with good customer service - but that was not what I experienced. read more

I love Mojo... my pup has a great time running and playing with the other dogs and always comes home exhausted. I've never had any issues with her safety or well being. The staff is great, they always greet us with a smile and give our dog lots of welcoming love. I will be a long time customer and am so appreciative of the hard work everyone there puts in to treat the dogs as if they were their own. read more

Kim B. I brought my dog there for only 2 days. This morning (after that 2nd day) my dog has been diagnosed with CRVC...CANINE RESPIRATORY VIRAL COMPLEX. Before I even brought him there, I vetted Felicia with a ton of questions, even about this virus. I was told by both Felicia AND Kayla-Kaylee "we haven't had an incident for 3 months". Not only WRONG BUT LIED TO ME. I was also told "that my dog must have gotten the virus from a pet store, at a dog park but not there". The ONLY reason I brought him there was for socializing NOT INFECTION. I asked them to either close for a MAJOR cleaning for the sake of the other dogs and put up a sign for owners to make their own decision about leaving their own fur babies there. I'm a parent and a grandparent so when I dropped him off on day 1 and was told about the webcam I got very excited. When I went to look at my dog I was only allowed to see what they wanted me to see. There was only 1 person with over a dozen dogs, I didn't see water stations, just a person coming into the yard with 1 silver bowl of water and the dogs just running to it. When I called about it I was told that "that there is more going out as we speak", I said not true, I'm watching the webcam and talking to you. No one else has come back out with more water. Oh, the quiet time is much, much longer than an hour. Apparently I yelp I have to give a star so 1 it is and that 1 is given against my better judgement. read more

My dog has been attending daycare and cage free boarding here for 3 years, and absolutely LOVES IT!! Whines the whole way there, and when he gets there thanks me with hugs. Comes home exhausted with a big smile. Thank you Good Mojo Team! Never had or have seen any issues with staff, and you can monitor your dog on cameras, the entire time they are there. read more

Note to all new clients to training class..I was not ask for ANY VACCINATIONS.. first night of class, which makes me thing this is an unhealthy environment for the volume of dogs they have in their space. My biggest challenge was I went to one class, and unknowingly, my new puppy went in heat. I was told by the team I could not come to class, but I could make up classes at $25.00 per class. She might be out for a month and they are actually charging me double. Please think twice about taking your dog here. If they are making decisions like this, what kind of decisions are they making on the animals they board and train. read more

My husky, Archie, has been enjoying daycare at Good Mojo for two and a half years. The staff is very know and loving to all of the dogs. They provide excellent daycare and board services and I trust them completely to provide a safe and caring environment. Great place for your dogs. read more

First and last time we will ever use this place. I don't know what's more upsetting the cuts on her inner thighs or the indent around her neck from clearly being yanked around. I can only imagine what other injuries she would have received if she was there for any longer. read more

We had a few bad experiences at Mojos (eye infections and dog fights) this last one will be the final time we visit Mojos. Our Puppy was boarded for 6 days, when I picked her up, I looked at my puppy and she had dried, crusty buggers covering her eyes, her nose was running and she wasn't her energetic self. We got her home, she slept all the time, stopped eating/ drinking and was coughing. After 2 days we brought her to the emergency vet, she stayed over night and turned out that she caught pneumonia. Since then, she has thankfully recovered, however, with this very contagious dog virus spreading like wild fire, MoJo's has not made any changes other than "being careful". they still allow dogs that look sick to come to daycare and when I asked why I wasn't called when my dog started looking sick... they said "it looked like allergies so we didn't think anything of it". REALLY!? At the Emergency hospital, they said 2/3 of the dogs that were sick, were recently at Mojo's.They should close down to fully clean the facility so other dogs do not get sick (Like kids daycares did when Covid hit) They are allowing dogs to get sick and some are dying. You should not send your dog here. read more

My dog was attacked by another dog at daycare. The manager called to tell me he had a "nick" on his ear and it was bleeding but they bandaged it and isolated him from other dogs. She also said I "might" want to get him checked by a vet. When I arrived an hour later to pick him up, he was returned to me covered in blood and still bleeding profusely. He had been unsupervised and had removed his bandage twice (according to the staff). This was obviously an emergency situation that required prompt medical attention but that is not what was communicated to me when the manager called. The staff was clearly unable to appropriately assess and deal with this emergency. We rushed our dog to the ER vet. He needed stitches and is now on strict rest and in a head wrap for 10-14 days. After I emailed the vet bill 2 days later, the manager miraculously finally called to check on our boy. I asked if the dog that bit my dog had been removed from daycare and she said no because what happened to him wasn't really an "attack." She said my dog startled the other dog when he was sleeping and the other dog "snapped." I am so saddened that this happened to my 11 month old dog and so disappointed in Good Mojo. They did not provide a safe environment for my dog and will not correct that situation by removing the dog who attacked mine. If you care about your dog, avoid this place. read more

Don't take your Pomeranian here to be groomed. I took mine here after they told me that the groomer had almost 20 years experience grooming and had done a lot of Pomeranians. I specifically told them to only use scissors on her because she had had an issue with some type of shock when clippers were used. Her hair had turned dark and wouldn't grow for the longest time. I even printed out directions from her last groomer. They said that because it had been awhile (we moved to the area and had a hard time finding a groomer accepting new patients) that using only scissor s and combing her out might be hard in her. So my husband explained that they could keep her longer and do a little at a time of that worked better. We picked her up almost 5 hours later and they used the clippers, she is not even even and they don't understand that if you can ruin an undercoat if they clip wrong. I am no worried that we will have the same problem with her hair, or that they have screwed up her undercoat. I look at her and want to cry because I am so worried. I will never take my dog here again!!!' read more

We've boarded our dogs there a few times and probably won't be back. This last time the attendant was laughing about one of our dogs pulling the stuffing out of her toy, she does that when she's bored or stressed. Our little girl is a 1-yr old rescue who is shy and the staff there felt it better that she be caged instead of placed in the cage-free area. That was okay with us but it just hit me wrong that the attendant found it funny to laugh about our little dog instead of showing some concern or compassion. I asked the attendant if our little girl had had any socialization (did anyone talk with her, pet her, play with her?) The answer was no, but we could pay for it when we boarded her. I looked more closely at their rates and discovered that there's a $15 add-on fee for a cuddle session, I wouldn't have thought that they'd bill us for spending a couple minutes with our dog, but I was wrong. Each time we pick up our dogs there is persistent upselling trying to sell other services. It wears a little thin when we just want to get our dog and leave but instead have sales pitches thrown at us. If I wanted grooming, training, doggy day camp, etc., I know where to find it, I don't need to be deflecting a sales pitch when we're just trying to get our dog back. read more

My dog goes here on a regular basis and loves it. The last time I was here we had a billing issue that took days to figure out and they were vague about whose credit card was charged or if we got double charged and really they were not that helpful. I've been taking my dog Tonka here for over a year now. I've had some pretty great experiences but one bad one. I can't truly blame it all on the staff because my dog is high energy. Good Mojo prides themselves on not using crates at all, even for boarding, which is a huge perk for me. I also love the fact that they have live webcams. It gives me peace of mind. I noticed my dog was jumping on one of the male staff one day. He kept pushing him off and paying much attention to a smaller dog and kept picking the smaller dog up. He pulled out a large travel crate and put my dog in there for what seemed to be about 20 minutes. I also noticed the staff member was using what looked like a rope lead as a leash to direct my dog around and pull him from the other dogs. When I picked him up, I discussed it quickly with the supervisor on duty who said he would note the file that he need to go in a timeout pen instead of a crate. Later that night, I noticed rope burns around my dog's neck. Again, my dog is very wild and does pull on a leash so I don't fully blame this on the staff member but I don't know if a rope lead is the best way to direct the dogs. I called and did speak with the owner about this and she said she would make sure this never happened again. She did seem very upset, said she took this very seriously about it and said she would review the videos. All of my other experiences with Good Mojo have been fantastic and I appreciate the way the owner handled it. I have brought him back since and he had a blast! They did make sure to follow the notes and put him in a timeout pen outside instead of a travel crate when he was being too crazy, which I was glad to see. read more
