I leaned over to see what was going on and only could see its tail so I walked over because I was so disturbed by her treatment of this helpless, restrained dog on the table. She saw me watching and completely changed her tone to sound affectionate to the dog but it was obviously a fake show for me. Then she abruptly drew the curtain so I couldn't see any more. When my dog was finally ready ( he had been there way longer than it takes elsewhere) a different groomer brought my dog out. She pointed out a bleeding area on his back leg, in the hock section, and said it was from " brush burn" and happens frequently and would be gone by tomorrow. I have never heard of or seen this after grooming in any of my dogs over multiple decades. I knew for a fact it would NOT be gone by tomorrow, as she said, because of the size of the bleeding area. It took days to heal. The worst thing, though, was that it was on the other leg as well! So if you made one leg bleed from aggressive brushing, wouldn't you go gentler, or use a softer brush on the other leg? This is a small grooming salon and the owner and other groomers must witness and realize that at least 2 of their groomers are mean and/or incompetent. This is totally unacceptable!

The emergency room said her uti was caused by being in bacteria or not being dried all the way down there. The vets said UTI usually don't cause a fever as high as 106.7. Mystery. Jen offered to pay for it but she never did. She avoids your messages. Never gets back to you. So upsetting I was hoping she was true to her word. You trust your fur babies with groomers and never know what goes on behind closed doors. She seemed like a nice and honest person.

We've been clients of Country Club Kennels for the past five years…read more We've always had real difficulty boarding our two dogs. We've boarded in three different states in multiple facilities, and each time its just full of trauma, and if our dogs could report us to an abuse agency they would do just that. When arrive at Country Club both of my pets are eager to go inside. They are greeted like family members, and they immediately run to the back of the facility so they can go to the outdoor area. We've also done grooming too, and our dogs look great and they are not freaked out. We use Country Club for boarding at least four times a year. If we didn't have them we would have a very difficult time going anywhere without our dogs. Finding Country Club has been a huge difference for us.

I will most definitely badly review places so I can warn people of terrible experiences. The good ones, I always try and report as well because we all want to know the bottom line on where to go. With this place I was nervous because with my pets I'm protective and picky. There was a wait to get in but the reviews made me do just that. I'm happy to report this establishment didn't disappoint. It's attractive for sure but that's not the deciding factor in any way. Aside from first visual impression which is above board as far as cleanliness and beauty...the first impression of the staff was also wonderful. They were knowledgeable and welcoming. The end result was a perfect series of cuts (I have multiple dogs of different breeds) and I loved that the first step in their spa day, which is a bath...is in an area where you can watch through a glass wall. It's clear the salon is run well and I'm personally not going to skimp on care and skill to go up the street to a chain establishment to save a few dollars for my dogs...who are most definitely family members. If you are concerned about safety..competence as well as final result and you aren't looking for a cheap fix...this place is perfect. They aren't over priced..but they aren't Walmart either. You get what you pay for and I'm very happy to have found this salon!

The second they realize we're getting close to BARK CITY, they're both up at the window, tails going a million miles an hour, barking like they've just spotted their long-lost best friends. At this point, I'm pretty sure they know the route better than I do! The staff is absolutely incredible. They know Dusty and Maverick so well and treat them like family. And judging by how exhausted and happy they are when they come home, I'm pretty sure they spend the entire day partying while I'm working! What makes BARK CITY so special is everything they offer: Multiple photos throughout the day -- I get to watch my boys play, lounge, socialize, and apparently have a much more exciting social life than I do. Daily report cards -- I love getting the scoop on what they did all day. Honestly, I sometimes know more about their day than I know about mine! Live webcams -- Because apparently I need to check in on them while they're having fun without me. And yes... I do. More than once. Grooming services -- They come home clean, fresh, and looking handsome enough to make me wonder if they even belong to me! The shop -- Toys, treats, and everything a spoiled pup could possibly want. And somehow, Dusty and Maverick always seem to think they need something new. BARK CITY is so much more than daycare--it's their happy place. I have went to a few places and have been less than satisfied. Laura ( the owner ) is wonderful to work with. She understands that being a little picky is OK! Sometimes I get a little fearful about a new tech grooming my dogs because I am not familiar with their work but Laura over sees all of the work they do. If she does not like the work she fixes it herself. This is the type of person that you want to be grooming your dog. So, all in all I find Ruff to Fluff to be a great place for your dog grooming needs.

A few hours later I called to see if she was almost done so I could head over. The owner answered and immediately put me on hold. She was talking to a customer that was there for a good 5 minutes and eventually forgot she had placed me on hold. I could hear EVERYTHING and after the customer left and she was alone with the dogs, I heard her screaming and yelling at my puppy/another dog to "SHUT THE F*** UP" and to "STOP" over and over again. I could hear my puppy/other dogs crying and whimpering. It was awful and eye opening! What you see in these 5 star reviews are clearly not a reflection of what goes on behind closed doors. If she's that verbally abusive to the dogs in her care, who's to say she isn't physically abusive as well??? I picked my puppy up, walked away and never looked back. NEVER AGAIN!
