His finished site plan reflects his extensive plant knowledge and a very fine eye for detail. He is well acquainted with the water rebate program and was able to answer questions thereof. I also used his service to purchase and deliver plants, and have him onsite to place the materials. This service alone is worth every penny; he moved plants and boulders around to the best aesthetic. After everything was complete, he came back for some fine-tuning and recommendations for my gardener. To save money I had my gardener do the installation but really wish I'd had the budget for a more extensive job done by one of Tyler's more experienced contractors. I contacted them for a quote to resurface our deck. I was contacted by their landscape designer who…read moresaid that I needed to pay thousands of dollars to him for a plan to be drawn for the deck. I was confused because it's preexisting and I don't want to change it. He then told me that this was required by the city and I would need a permit! I was astounded because that's a lie! It's not my first deck project so I knew repairs and maintenance do not require a permit. I also received several other quotes from licensed and bonded contractors and no one thought I needed a permit.

Octavio and Pacific Premiere Landscaping is STILL incredible! Extremely professional, responsive and just an all around really nice guy! We had a very large project that included our Front, Side, and sloping back yard. My wife and I, like a lot of couples I'm certain, have design paralysis with that "I don't know, what do you want?" going back and forth with each other endlessly. Octavio has a great eye, and countless times he broke our deadlock saying, "How about this? I think this would look really nice" and when we followed his suggestions we ended up being incredibly happy with the result! That's a huge benefit that you can't put value on, because it keeps a project moving forward with minimal stress. Whenever we had questions, he always replied to our texts instantly, and one of the things I really appreciated about his company is that we never had to line up any of our own specialty contractors (electrical, plumbing etc) to do work. He has every discipline covered and coordinates the scheduling of all of that. I've worked with contractors before where they would inform you they didn't do a type of work and we would have to contract that effort separately. Octavio is not like that and he'll coordinate it all according to how you'd like it to look, or be done. Big thumbs up on that! Payment schedules are very clearly explained and documented. Our project included payments in "phases of work" down payment, forms completed, rebar completed, Completed concrete, electrical and irrigation/plants completed, final approval completed etc. and there was flexibility in the schedule if we wished, which made it much easier at one point while we were travelling. He's very open to discussing whatever makes things go smoothly. We loved how he gave us a lot of help particularly with trees/plants (types, locations) Octavio is very knowledgeable in that area and we were very pleased when he met us at the nursery multiple times to show and help us select plants and trees. His work crews were always very friendly, hard working and meticulous, and he checked in on them constantly to make sure everything was going according to plan. It's very obvious that he wants to make sure there are no surprises, and that work is progressing according to schedule and plans. It was a great pleasure having Octavio and Pacific Premiere Landscaping transform our home! We would use him again without question and in fact have several other projects in the immediate future that we're in the process of discussing. A lot of people will search hard for the lowest price (I would estimate that Octavio's prices are not the "cheapest", but they are much more than fair, and I would argue that there is a HUGE difference between "lowest price" and "value"; that being the quality and experience of the work done for the money spent, and with that in mind, Pacific Premiere is a tremendous value! You get a ton for your Money!

We had a great experience NAB Construction! Our pickleball court had broken concrete on one end,…read moreand was too short on the other. NAB removed all the bad concrete and replaced it with pavers, and on the other side of the court, they added 5 feet of concrete where we had lawn, as well as adding to our existing retaining wall. After the pavers were installed, I noticed something not to my preference with the paver layout. I contacted Nick, our site manager from NAB, and he was very responsive, and arranged for Nate (the company president) to come out right away and discuss the matter, which was resolved that same day to my complete satisfaction. Nick also was happy to arrange for a few other small tasks related to bricks and concrete on our property to be taken care of, and they were - at no added cost. NAB construction was not the lowest bid we got for this work, but I have learned the hard way that going with the lowest price is not always a great idea, and I am glad I went with NAB for this project. I'm very satisfied with the results of this project, and would not hesitate to recommend NAB construction to others.

We wanted a walkway installed so we went back but this time we dealt with someone by the name of Nick Vard. He was very unprofessional and used the terms "outside the scope of work" and asked us to make a "commitment" several times. I went to Brickyard on a Saturday at 8AM per the direction of Nick but when I called him about our selection he never called me back. He blamed us and said they lost money on the job because it took longer than expected. He tried to convince me to use a brick I did not like. And the biggest disappointment was the drainage that they left unfinished. We spent almost $10k but we feel like the job is incomplete. Wish we could recommend them but if they continue working with Nick Vard you should stay away.

He already works on my mom's garden, which is breathtakingly beautiful, and for my birthday she split the cost with me to have him work his magic at my house. I know very little about such things so I really trusted him and his vision, and I am so grateful. He was very attentive to my tastes and listen to my ideas. He often gave me options to choose which I liked best. Very quickly we were on the same page about all of the little things that would make me happy. When the first estimate was a little higher than my budget, he pared it down and we focused on the most important areas - and he was still able to make it totally beautiful. Keith was a pleasure. He has a quiet demeanor. He and his assistant were super respectful and it was clear right away that they really care about doing everything right. He stuck to the schedule, he worked super hard and it was immediately evident that he is someone who is very proud of his work, regardless of the size of the project. I'm actually saving money so I can hire him again to add some of the things that were outside the scope of last year's project. They installed an irrigation system and showed me how to program the timer, but honestly I haven't had to touch it. It just works. Everything grew. Everything still looks healthy and gorgeous. It's really the gift that keeps on giving. I'm really proud of my garden, and it really is the result of Keith's vision, Keith's design and Keith's implementation. He's SO GOOD! You should call him and get on his schedule because I imagine he's pretty busy making magic happen :-)

We hired Garden Mamas to maintain our mature hillside garden. While we thought it a bit strange…read morethat we had a different crew out most every time, we were assured by Tamara that she had communicated what needed to be done - she was managing the crew. This method seemed to work mostly, although we had to tell the crew each visit what to do, as mostly instructions had been partially communicated. One day, she sent two new people. We told them to trim two bushes on the stairwell and to pick up the leaves, nothing else. This was also communicated to Tamara a few days prior, but like most times, the crew seemed clueless as to what to do. When they were done and had left, we discovered that they had BUTCHERED our garden - most of five++ years of growth was cut away and in a most unappealing fashion. Her crew ripped out plants that a previous crew had installed only a month prior, had trimmed four bushes that were covering an unsightly wall into lollipop shapes, completely exposing the wall, trimmed new growth off of once per season budding plants without any care for shape or aesthetics, butchered slow growing manzanita plants that may never recover, etc etc etc. We were appalled and contacted her. Tamara responded to our concerns, but would not or could not take personal or financial responsibility for making us whole. She told us that the crew she sent was inexperienced and had never worked on a personal, mature garden (only on storage facilities and office complexes), and that she did not have the $$ to replace the plants destroyed or to pay for someone else to replace the plants (as we told her that we could not work with her anymore). We thought about going to the CSLB so that we could at least recover her bond, but did the time/money calculus and finally settled on her paying for two plants to be replaced, at another landscaper's wholesale cost (approx $500). So far, it has cost us over $10000 to get the garden back to where it was, and it will take a few years for it to look as good as it did prior to November 2025. We tried to support this independent, woman-owned business; but her model of a different crew every time coupled with an inability to run her business in a fiscally responsible manner makes it impossible for us to recommend her to ANYONE

The finished backyard looks excellent and the quality of the construction appears high. Vanessa specifically provided excellent, white-glove service throughout the entirety of the project and was super responsive to all of our communication. We did have a number of issues arise with the crew (mainly excessive dust seeping into our house and trash being left behind on the neighbor's property line), as well as the accounting department (an accidental attempt at overcharging us), but Vanessa always did an excellent job of troubleshooting these issues and helping to guide everybody towards a resolution. She also worked diligently on our backyard design and expertly guided us through several iterations and unexpected construction issues. We had an outstanding experience working with Nick Miller and the Black Diamond crew…read more They competitively bid a well designed curved driveway, with a stairway going down one side of the yard, and a pathway across the front of the house. Great design and installation of tasteful spotlights, mushroom lights, and some custom lights in the paver patterns. The Black Diamond team workers were fast, clean, organized, courteous, and their craftsmanship was excellent and the finished front of the house was a very custom and professional job. They were also flexible, which is probably most important. It now has a very modern, Tuscan look. What a transformation from cracked concrete! The neighbor dropped by, was amazed, and said: sign me up too! Definitely would recommend. It turned out better than we had imagined.
