The Good Oak Bar has a good vibe which I really appreciate! You are greeted when you enter and as others have mentioned, it has a "speakeasy" feel. We grabbed a booth and ordered an Old Fashioned and a Hazy IPA. They've got what you're looking for... Whether it's a nice glass of wine, good beer or an excellent cocktail. Bob was our server and was super helpful and nice! Appreciated him! The Old Fashioned was my favorite that I've had! Such a nice smooth drink! We ordered a pizza from next door and that just added to our happy experience. I'm looking forward to my next visit to the Good Oak! They also have a secret menu that has me contemplating trying one of those drinks... Although it would be hard not to get the Old Fashioned again!

One of my favorite bars to hang out downtown. It's dark, moody, with bar seating and booths. There was a menu on the table for Jaime's Pizza next door. The bartender went to your table for your order and was friendly.

We came here last night (Sat) and waited about 5 minutes for seats at the bar. The booths were all empty. We were able to watch the UA football game on screens over the bar. I tried the Desert Highball and at first wasn't a fan of the aftertaste but by the end the drink grew on me and I liked it. Ben had the Tombstone Summer ale and thought it was good. He wouldn't be able to drink more than 2 of these at a time though because of how much flavor it has.

I really enjoy the laid-back, quiet vibe of Good Oak Bar. It's a great spot to catch up with a friend over a couple of drinks, or sit with a beer and book. If you're looking for a party spot, or a place to come with a large group, Good Oak's probably not what you're looking for. But if you want to relax, have a good beer and a bite to eat, and just unwind, this is your bar. It's small and dimly-lit, and the beer and wine selection, while limited, is always high quality. Ditto for the whiskey selection. They also have a small food menu; I recommend the fried pickles for a snack or the tacos for a meal.

My husband and I stopped in while on a road trip to visit some friends in the area. While they were working, we decided to explore the local area and found this place. We ordered the Duo of Dips to share and I got a French 75 cocktail. The food was good and the drink was delicious. If you're in the area, I would for sure check out this place. If you are like my husband and I, we love to hop around and try many local places, but if you stay for more food, you can't go wrong.

This place is wonderful. The whiskeys are amazing and the vibe is chill. It's a speak easy sort of situation but more accessible. The staff is always fast and friendly not to mention really knowledgeable. I highly recommend going during a time where it is off peak hours and the bartenders have time to talk you through a flight. I've honestly learned a lot about whiskey there and the selection is always rotating.

So if you want a great pie and a proper cocktail go to the Good Oak Bar. Excellent bartenders who are mixologists and you can get an awesome pie from Jamie's. Best of both worlds. Truly great food and drinks.

Tucson gem for sure... feels almost like a speakeasy. The cocktail menu(s) are fantastic, we've never left disappointed. Scan the barcode on the tables for the "secret menu". We went for Sonoran Restaurant Week and had one of the best meals ever. Love this place.

I was really hoping for a laid back, chill experience. Sadly what we got was less than enjoyable. The best thing about our experience was the Parmesan fries we ordered. They have flights of whiskey, tequila, or mead (from Superstition). They have a secret menu that you can access via the QR code on the table. For only serving drinks (basically no food since Diablo burger left), I was hoping for some good ones. The menu leaves you wanting and they do have a decent selection of beers on tap. The venue itself is very small and can only fit the bar top and a few booths lining the wall. I went on a Friday night at 9pm and there were only 2 employees serving folks. Initially I thought, we'll it's a small venue so I'm sure they don't need that many people working on a Friday, but the rate of service was so painfully slow we basically spent most of the night waiting for either of the staff to come to us. The cocktails we ordered were decent but none of us really thought they were remarkable for the cost.

Another stop tonight for alcohol. This is a down home bar where the people are nice and the beer/liquor selection is what your after. It's not very big but it feels like home and they hook you up. It's a nice place.

Best whiskey sour i've had in a long time. Delicious frothy egg whites and the perfect combination of sweet and sour. Great kick too!

Great bar with a nice tucked away ambiance. They specialize in whiskey and quality crafted cocktails. The bartenders were pleasant and knowledgable. The drinks were a bit steep, but reasonably priced at $8-11. They have a decent selection of 6-8 local craft beers to choose from as well. My biggest critique would be the limited selection of whiskey and cocktails. Their menu features about 7 or 8 whiskey cocktails and there are some gin/vodka/sangria drinks on the back (7 or 8 there as well). Not a lot of variety to be honest. They also feature about a dozen or so whiskies to be enjoyed neat or on the rocks (with the option to purchase a flight of 3 for $12). That said, for a whiskey bar I'd imagine they'd have twice as many whiskies to choose from and would use a little more diversity/creativity in crafting the cocktail menu. That critique asside, I enjoyed my time and will be back. We went later so we didn't get to try the pub fare, but the menu definitely looked enticing. That'll be on the list for next time for sure.

This is the best vodka tonic I have ever had in my life. Premium vodka, housemade tonic and a fresh lime. I kid you not.

These drinks are innovative, thoughtful, and aesthetically pleasing in a way that leaves you excited for more and expands one's idea of a well-made libation. Inspired by a medley of global flavors, Juniper started off as a side project from a local brewery and unexpectedly exploded into a swanky hangout with zero seats left open on weekend nights. Yes, virtually everything on the menu is gin-based. But that shouldn't scare you away! Gin is essentially a neutral spirit infused with botanicals and/or citrus, so if you had a bad experience with one brand, there will be another out there you'll fall in love with. Elliott, the General Manager of the bar, elevates the passionate curation of his menu to perfection. Here are some examples of what you might fall in love with: Balzy Maracuya: A 'maracuya' is a passion fruit beverage originating from South America. In this drink, fruity flavors are enhanced with popping boba filled with balsamic vinegar. Botanist: Upscale gin and tonic with thyme, rosemary, and star anise. Cronus Punch: Rum punch lovers will be blown away by the rare sighting of clarified gin On special ocassions, you'll find limited edition items like gin sorbet affogatos and horchata martinis. At the turn of each new year, there's a menu rotation that may sadly remove some of my faves. But here, at Juniper I can guarantee two things: Something uniquely enjoyable, and a gracious staff that will be happy to explain the intricacies of lesser-known spirits on the shelf. In 2026, I predict it will remain one of Tucson's hottest cocktail hangouts.

It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day

Mine even came in a zebra mug. We also learned that this bar has both an upstairs and downstairs area. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and headed home. This place left such an impression that we have been back two times since. On another occasion we had Nate the bartender. He had a lovely personality and accommodated all of the guests that came in near closing. We enjoyed Santa's Banana Hammock and Unicorn Ski Accident. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem. I look forward to seeing where this place goes. It has a ton of potential for special events with the basement area. P.s. It's also a boutique hotel.
