This is the best Chinese food I've found in Lynchburg thus far. Hands down everything I've tried is amazing!!

A little hard to find - no outside lit up sign and the first time I went it was late at night. Anyway, so pleased that I found this place. I've been twice now and had Szechuan Beef, Mu Shu Pork, and General Tso's chicken. All were excellent. The Szechuan Beef was not spicy at all, and had a sweet ovetone but it was very good. The Gen. Tso's was good - not really a spectacular dish even on the best day. The Mu Shu was phenomenal. The pork had a very smoky flavor and the proportion of ingredients was excellent (e.g., not too much cabbage). The downside of the Mu Shu was the paper thin pancakes so common in strip mall Chinese - I wish it had a thicker, homemade pancake. This is the only thing that kept away the 5th star. Anyway, excellent place, terrific food, good portions. It will be my go-to place from now on. read more

Chinese... allegedly. I was really in the mood for Chinese take out and this place is ultra convenient so I figured to try a bunch of items in order to get a good idea of the place. Well, I ordered some standard items and waited for it to come out. As I waited I took a good look around the restaurant. Some tables in a somewhat run down place, which sort of seems ok in an odd way. I do not expect linen table cloths at Chinese take out places. The menu is pretty extensive with a heavy dose of fried stuff. Speaking of, their smoke eaters need a serious cleaning or maybe need to be turned on - my clothes smelled like fried food the rest of the night- I had to ditch them into the wash. I got my bag of goodies and got home- and wow, total disappointment. This stuff was the blandest, greasiest food I ever attempted to eat. Just terrible. I have had Chinese take out pretty much all over the country and I do not understand how Lynchburg got the worst of the worst. Final verdict: Not so good taste. Avoid. Parking in front. read more

Well, first, it was very chaotic. The owner was yelling at people on the phone along with his staff. There were 3 people (plus myself) waiting for take out and no one was in the dining room. I waited 50 minutes for my take out (General Tso's), where as my friend got her's (Sweet&Sour Chicken) in 15 minutes. I ordered the General Tso's with fried rice and an egg roll. Pretty standard Chinese. By far the worst General Tso's, WORST fried rice, and 2nd worse egg roll I've ever had. The chicken was very tough with tons of breading. The sauce wasn't half bad. Now, as for the rice. It was yellow...? I got it and was like, what the..?? I tried it anyways.. Flavorless. Very disappointing. I love egg rolls. However, not this one. Lets just say I took 2 bites of it.. I will NOT be back, even if I was offered free food for myself and friends. Jade Palace is closer and far better tasting. read more

Don't do it. Just, don't do it. I remember this place being decent in college, but apparently either my taste buds have improved tremendously or their food decreased tremendously. We ordered the sesame chicken. The food came in what looked like a frozen food container with the rice and chicken side by side. The "chicken" was soggy and the pork fried rice looked like just plain yellow rice. My friend and I both felt ill after eating it. Well, I guess I'm the first to review this place! I will say that the food here isn't that bad actually, but when you order stir-fry food they put tooooooooo much vegetables in it and hardly any meat. At least even it out. I always order for delivery and they guy that delivers it is very rude! When he calls you to come out and get the food, he practically yells at you to come outside. In person he's not fluffy teddy bear either. Food is not bad, but it can't substitute the rude service, abundance of vegetables making you feel like you wasted money. My wife and I tried this place after some people at work recommended it. She got the orange chicken combo, and I got beef chow mein. This was probably the most generic tasting Chinese we've ever had, and the first time I thought to myself, "I don't think this is really beef." Now, as I type this, my wife is in the bathroom puking, and I am in the fetal position on the couch from how sick we feel after eating the food. I ordered with a younger male and with my order requested sweet and sour sauce. we ordered hibachi filet mignon which cane as a foam tray with 3/4 filled with rice and 7 pieces of meat and a beef fried rice which was felt like more onions than rice but the worst part is they only gave me two soy sauce packets. When I called back the older woman on the phone was rude and delusional! She told me I didn't order it and she was the one who took my order they aren't going to come back to bring a container of sauce. I've never had good great food from this place. While in college I would crave Chinese food, so we would order from here because it was the only place at the time that would deliver to us. The only thing I would enjoy is my rice. Not sure why I thought it would change because it hasn't. The food is rubbery, the service is poor, and the quality isn't worth it. Eh. My wife ordered delivery from here and it was pretty bad. She ordered me cream cheese wontons and sweet and sour chicken. She got chicken for herself too. I didn't get cream cheese wontons, it was like over fried beef and the chicken for my sweet and sour was eatable but chewy and hard. Her chicken was so dark that we thought it was steak. Everything that was correct in the order was bland and overcooked. Not going to be returning. I feel like we shouldn't have even had to pay for this crap. read more

Worst bourbon chicken I have ever had. I called to see if it was something else because it didn't taste like burbon chicken, it tasted like poor qualitry all dark meat "chicken" with crappy syrup and mushy veggies. The guy said "ya it's bourbon chicken, have a good night". He didn't try to comp it or give me some kind of credit. I hate this place.. Plus im on a diet so I never eat yummy chinese food anymore so this was supposed to be special. This sucks, im HUNGRY!!! Never going back and will spread the word so no one else gets ripped off. Really good price and always fresh. I've been eating here since 2009 whenever I craved Chinese food. I always eat the left overs next meal because it's a lot of food! Oh and their hot and sour soup is really fresh every time I order and it's awesome... I'd say on average I pay $6.50 which includes one dish and rice enough for me and to snack on again. read more

The food is pretty good but it took me an hour to receive my food at a place that is pretty popular for the area. I called three times in the hour it took for my food to be delivered. It's not fine dining, but i have been looking for a decent place to get Chinese since moving to Lynchburg several years ago and this has become my delivery place. Decent hibachi, the lo mein is good, and they make an edible beef teriyaki, which is more than i. Can say for the rubber i have gotten at most places around town. All in all this is no high end dining experience, but if you want decent Chinese take out this will get you there. read more

I called in an order for bourbon chicken, cheese wontons and wonton soup. Got back to my hotel to find no sauce, utensils, or napkins in the take-out bag. I then thought ok, I won't worry about that. Then I bit into the bourbon chicken and most all of the chicken were grizzly fatty dark meat. I could not eat it. I decided to call the restaurant back and told them about the quality of the chicken. The person I spoke with explained all of their chicken is served that way and I immediately replied thank you, that's all I needed to know.
