After passing this place countless times while I'm walking, driving or just in the area, we finally were able to come in here with our masks during operating hours. We were absolutely THRILLED to finally make it in. Unfortunately, the experience did NOT end up this way. The pros: HUUUUUUGE selection of succulents, slightly pricey but REALLY good quality and absolutely gorgeous. Also, really nice flowers and flower arrangements. The cons: I'm not sure if it was a bad day, but NO reason to be so RUDE to your clients (the cashier ESPECIALLY). First of all, there are barely any prices in the flowers, flower arrangements, plants. If there were more prices near the plants then we wouldn't have to "annoy" the employees and "bother" them by asking them prices of different plants. Came here with the idea of "supporting" local business instead of going to Home Depot or any other chain. I finally picked out like 4 plants which for sure were worth $50. One of the ladies that worked there rudely told me that "those aren't for sale" as she pointed to an almost invisible sign that said "not for sale". Meanwhile there were plenty of the plants available (duplicates of the same). The super nice lady that works in the greenhouse area propagating nicely said that there's no problem, we can sell those. Because there were more of those available. The initial rude lady ran to the other lady in the cashier to "tell on us". By the time we got to the cashier ALL excited with our new purchases she immediately says "they didn't tell you these aren't for sale??" And I said that one of the nice ladies said it was ok. Before I could even finish my sentence here she was snatching the 2 pots away from me. Basically forbid me from buying the plants because it took her "so long to grow" instead of kindly providing me an alternative she hid the plants away as if I was ready to steal them.... I was ready to just leave my purchases behind but I decided to buy one plant...to still try to support. I've NEVER seen anything like this. Not only did she miss out on a purchase DURING a crisis but she lost 2 customers and unfortunately I will NEVER recommend ANY of my friends here. Maybe the egg shop is a different experience but this to me was just not only humiliating but unnecessary and RUDE. #SupportOnlyNiceLocalBusinesses

This business has an old-school feel for sure, looking at the decor and taking in the original structure all around, is fun to look at. I'm sure there have been some touches here and there. Another feel for sure is, that it's nothing like B&N's and a libery, you'll see. The selections for the most part including the antiques had quite a variety and interesting ones. Anyone who's a geek in all of this, expect to be in the Cove for a long time. Service was very decent, along with one worker saying hello and how are you doing? It's rare to see that nowadays, and needs to become a big trend once again. When I'm in Pawling again, I'll be sure to make this stop again.

Love this small biz that's strictly operated by the owners themselves and named right after them. So many cute gift ideas for the home and pet owners. Came across this little shop just walking around the village and I was so happy to find out they were reopened for business (after all the shutting down during covid). It's got the cutest vibes and their prices are still pretty reasonable. Love their style and how friendly the staff is. The best part is they package your purchase in a reusable tote (not only does this save plastic but you can totally reuse it!). There's a small shoe section (mostly women's) and some hand crafted, trendy, earrings (perfect for summer!). Loved that we could shop here and support the local but most importantly love how clean and hygienic this place is, especially during these times! Still, they had a pretty cool selection of antique jewelry and such. Fun to look around either way. The book section is pretty sweet. There's a gift wrap and greeting card area as well.
