For Valentine's Day we decided on Good Times Restaurant & Bar in Caledonia, MN because Tony loves their hamburgers rating them "Damn Good", and I wanted lobster. We have never been disappointed with the service or food and Valentine's Day was no different. We had lunch a few days before my birthday on St. Patrick's Day and I was pleasantly surprised that they had corned beef, cabbage , and potatoes soup. It made my day. I love soup. The exterior and interior of the restaurant are logs decorated with wildlife pictures and a fireplace with mounted animal heads over the fireplace. It is a very comfortable environment. In Valentine's Day the wooden tables were covered with white tablecloths. Everyday the silverware is wrapped in white cloth napkins. read more

If I lived in or near Caledonia, I would definitely become a regular here. I stopped in on a business trip. There were vegetarian options, but I was too tempted by the fish special - blackened walleye. So good. Super attentive and friendly wait staff, including the bartender who was just wonderful, like a new best friend. Good drink selection, spacious clean seating with an excellent patio. The partial owner (Sarah) is very rude. Our bill was $22.00 more than the prices listed. When pointing out the differences to her about the bill, she refused to make adjustments and went by her prices and not the ones on the menu. I told her I would not return and would let others know. She replied "Good luck with that!" Followed by a curt and rude comment about Christmas and the New Year. She forgets customers pay her bills and she can fall back down her corporate ladder the same way she went up it. I don't have to frequent her business. Sarah was seen with a snickering smile as we left her business. I will never return to Good Times as it was very far from that when we saw the bill at the end of a nice dinner we had with Grandchildren. Buyer beware!!!!!!! read more

Fed up. Bwaaa!!! But no baked potato. On the menu but last three or 4 times we been there. NO BAKED POTATOES. DONE. Gave it one last shot and decided to go early. (5pm). Same ol' refrain. Our waitress was excellent. Possibly new, but very attentive. The salad bar was very good and the soup was excellent. Unfortunately the ribs were very hard and dry. I have heard it from others, so will avoid them in the future. Plenty of other things to try. Nice and clean. read more

The food was out on time for 23 guests, and was delicious!! Best pizza and salad bar ever!!The owner allowed us to decorate a portion of the dining room and made this evening extra special. The food was beyond delicious! All our entrees we're perfectly cooked; right down to the sweet potato fries. I think this is the freshest salad bar in the area; sooo good. The babyback ribs were the meatiest I've eaten anywhere. They smoke them on site. Their menu is vast; from burgers and sandwiches, to traditional supper club dinner entrees (served all day), to pizzas too. I haven't tried the pizza yet, but I intend to. Special call out to anyone with a gluten intolerance; they offer gluten free buns and pizza for an additional fee. The service exceeded expectations too. We've been taken care of by three different waitresses, so far, and all of them have been genuinely friendly, happy, and very attentive. Stopped in for dinner while we were in town. Husband and I both got burgers and fries. I added the salad bar. The salad bar was awesome. They can be scary sometimes, but this one was clean and kept up. Burgers were filling and seasoned very nicely. Fries were salty...just like I like them! Went here for a grooms dinner in the lower level. It was a nice place with great food! They also catered the wedding and the food was really good!!! We are their Friday night. Several people in our group had the fish special and stated it was very good. I had the broiled scallops. They were under seasoned, and were not served hot. My hashbrowns were greasy, mushy and unflavored Our server was excellent and did a great job with our table. Over all I would say food was very good for the fish and poor for the scallops. read more

Very underwhelming. Doesn't meet the same standard as their other location. I have dined in their Decorah restaurant and was extremely pleased. But this place was several steps below. I ordered the Good Times burger because it was very good at the Decorah location. This one was not. It was extremely dry and overdone. The server never asked me how I wanted it done and I did not think to mention it. But that should not be my responsibility. The french fries would have been better just left off the order. We eat here at least twice a month. You can't beat the pizza or the specialty chicken sandwiches. My favorite is the Pepper-jack Chipotle Chicken Sandwich with sweet potato fries. We normally sit at the bar but they have a nice dining area. Pretty kid friendly with some games out front. Have never had an issue with the wait staff but things can get a little tricky with food inconsistency/different cooks, but you wouldn't even know unless you eat there as much as we do! Only downfall is price for certain items (do not order the combo basket, rip off) and the time you have to wait for bar service on busy nights. Still won't stop us from going back! read more

Everything we eat here the food is bad and the pizza ha a crust that is so hard you will need to have more to drink to get it down. On August 9, 2015, along with a family group of seven, dined at Good Times. While the food was adequate, but not inspired, the service was definitely lacking. Our server was pleasant and gracious, but the waits for initial service, serving the food, and attention to needs for replenished tea and water were excessively long. This is probably more of a management problem than a server problem, as it appeared there was only one server for the whole restaurant, at dinner time. Disappointingly, this service problem echoes that same situation this group encountered the pervious time we ate here. Additionally, after asking for some seafood to be done well when it was ordered, one of our party, when served the dish, asked that the seafood be cooked a bit more (it did not appear to be thoroughly cooked). When it was returned from the kitchen to the customer, there was no indication that it had been cooked additionally. read more
