The WORST experience in my life!! My husband and I were in a motorcycle accident. I had a head injury (blood running down my head) and had to wait in the hallway for an hour for a CT scan. I was told that my husband's injuries were worse than mine so they gave him a CT scan first (he had bruised ribs!!)...and they put him in a room. WTF! They did not wipe off/clean the area on my head around the wound; just gave me stitches and was told to go home. What is wrong with these people?? After receiving CLEAR stitches on the side of my head (who uses clear stitches??) , they told me that I was "good to go home". They did not suggest staying overnight. They never gave me an xray on my arm (it turned out that it was fractured). I asked about a sling since my arm hurt. They looked at me with a blank look. My shoulder and knee were all scraped and bruised. These were not addressed. They never discussed aftercare with us...just gave us some paperwork and we were told to go home, with dried blood on my head. There were a lot of people in the waiting room, so I guess that they were more important than a bloody head injury. DO NOT EVER GO THERE !!! read more

the worst experience in a emergency room which left me in worse condition than before i went there.not one licensed doctor or educated professional and the majority of staff are young girls with unprofessional behavior and bully patients with abuse of power and positions they have even though they are only techs or aides and are not under supervision of mature professionals with healthy standards.and what emergency room has rodent traps everywhere especially in reach of patients.rodent infestations carry diseases.dont go there and never allow a health care place or employees blame you for their unethical and unlawful actions.report them no matter what bc enough reports will remove them and save a life. read more

I'm at the goodall walk in Clinic I. SANFORD ME..we've been wating an hour and a half..That isn't my problem..I am with my service dog who is registered in the State of Maine..I had him in a stroller so he doesn't need to walk on dirty floors..I went for a walk with him on his leash..I return to the waiting room, on leash, and PEGGY the receptionist/ check in person, approached us in the waiting room in front of other patients, waiting..She said that I needed not to let my dog down on the floor because of liability for Maine Health..ARE YOU KIDDING ME? My girlfriend and I went there seeking help and was put in the hallway outside of a triage room within ear shot of other patients and within view of their personal information on the computer screen. This is not only unprofessional but also a HIPAA violation. This is the most recent bad experience I have had at the same hospital that almost killed me. After a long period of waiting for care, we left and I was able to treat her myself; she will be following up with her primary care physician. read more

My grandmother had stomach pain for several days and was instructed by her primary care doctor to go to the ER after it was not getting better and she thought she had a fever. The nurse at the ER was extremely unkind. She kept asking if my grandmother even "thought she needed to be seen", despite my grandmother making it clear that she believes she may have a bowel blockage. The nurse made her feel terrible and as if she should never have had the audacity to bother a HOSPITAL with her illness. Absolutely disgusting. read more

Lived in the area my whole life. Every time I visit this hospital it's a very long wait. The staff for the most part are polite and professional. But I always feel like that do the bare minimum. More often then not they do nothing but tell me to follow up with my pcp. If you can, seek an alternative hospital. Highly recommend York hospital. read more

I had an appointment in the xray and needed the lab. I registered for both. Went to my appointment first, returned ,informed receptionist i was vack to do my lab. Another client arrived at the same time. Lab called her first. In the meantime, 2 additional clients arrived about 2p minutes later. Knowing i was next, i was surprised when they called someone who arrived at least 10 minutes after me. A few other people arrive. The next time the lab calls a gentleman ,again he arrived 20 minutes after me. By the third time,after waiting 40 minutes, they call someone else. In July of 2021 my mom called 911 they took me to the er in Sanford for my back that gave out on me I couldn't walk when I got there they put me in the hallway right across the bathroom. I. Whas there for 3. Hours before I was seen by the doctor I. Whas in. Pain so much it. Was not funny. She came and see me and ask what I was doing. There. I. Told. Her. What happened to me. She tap my back and was going to send me. Home but I. Told her that she should give me some pills for my back she told me that I. Guess I can do that I. My sister was brought in on Monday August 07 2017. It took 25 min for a nurse to see her and the nurse asked the exact same question 5 times and didn't seem like he cared at all. There was 1 doctor on that night for a whole emergency room like seriously if you can't afford to have sufficient enough staffing to work and take care of your patients like this is complete bullshit I will never have anyone in my family come here and I would never recommend anyone else come here either. read more

Did not care for the staff doing my breast ultrasound. The lady dis not look pleasant and before we started she said "maybe we wont find anything". Well after looking for about 2 minutes...guess what...she didnt find anything in my breast... I was rushed out and immediatly called my pcp to refer me to the Breast Cancer Clinic at Mercy Hospital. If you think you may have a lump, tumor or cancer concern...DO NOT seek out help at Goodall Hospital in Sanford. GO TO Mercy Breast Clinic. Service was much better! My husband and I are Boston-area physicians with a home in the Lakes region. We visited the Emergency Department this past weekend, in the middle of the night, and the care was excellent. We were seen immediately. The facility was modern and clean. The staff were professional, kind, and moved my husband's evaluation along quickly. We were updated with important information regularly. My husband had to return to the ED several hours later, not through their oversight but because he realized he needed the intervention they originally offered him that he had declined. I will never, ever go to this hospital ever again. I recently brought my son in for an allergic reaction/rash. After waiting for over an hour we finally get a room (this is life, not my complaint). When the doctor, Sarah Shepherd, came in she barely looked at my son. She did not take any medical history or ever talk to him. She told me it was an allergy and to give him Benadryl every 6 hours until it was gone. His eyes were swollen shut!!!! I told her I did not feel comfortable with that plan as he has a few doses already that did nothing and I felt it was poison ivy gicen his previous experience with it. She begrudgingly ordered a one time dose of a steroid. He failed to improve and the rash spread to numerous body parts. I took him to Wentworth-Douglass in Dover NH. They correctly diagnosed him and put him on a steroid taper. You know what the person who comes in last in their medical class is called? A doctor. In this case Dr Shepherd. read more
