We were told the order would take approximately six weeks to process. Six weeks later, on August 19, 2024, we called to inquire about the pool cover. Keystone Pools told us they were having trouble with the internet/phone, and orders were delayed in arriving. They told us to check back at the end of August. We called the week of September 2 (8 weeks after the order was placed/deposit paid). We were told the order was not yet in. After two weeks, we started calling again with no answer. On Friday, September 20, 2024, we drove to Keystone Pools to inquire about the order in person. The woman in the store said she had no information about the order, but the owner had a death in the family and the order might be delayed. She didn't have the phone number for Merlin to check on the order status, but she would leave a message for the owner. On Monday, September 23, 2024, we emailed Merlin Pools directly to see where the pool cover was. We received an email from Merlin Pools on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, that an order of 1 pool cover ($1,999.59) for us was placed on 9/23/2024. The next day, we received another email from Merlin Pools that the pool cover had been shipped to the distribution center in Harrisburg, PA. We began calling Keystone Pools to find out when we could pick up the pool cover/pay the balance. No one has answered the phone since September. We mailed them a letter asking for the pool cover or to return our deposit. We drove to Keystone Pools three more times, October, November, and today. No one is ever at the store. It is always closed even though the store hours posted indicate the store is open. Now the phone number is no longer in service, and the pool cover seems to be being held at the distribution center in Harrisburg. Last week, Merlin Pools encouraged us to contact the distributor in Harrisburg, but they haven't returned our calls. Now six months after we placed the order at Keystone Pools, we are out the $999.59 deposit, and we have no Merlin pool cover. We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and we are now pursuing a small claims court claim for breach of contract.

    My rating is based on the process involved for returns/refunds…read more As most others stated, we were greeted by a friendly, non-pushy salesperson, and allowed to browse at our leisure without any pressure. We were shopping for a new mattress (king= 2 twin xl, and adjustable bases), and nothing against bob's, but the whole mattress shopping process sucks. How can you lay on something for 5-10 minutes and determine if it will be comfortable for 6-8 hours of sleep at night? We settled on the "plush" version of their sky memory foam, (temperpedic cloud knock off). No issues with the delivery or set up, however the delivery fee is 10% of your purchase price, no matter what you buy. They say you can pick up, but it has to be from one of their distribution centers, not the stores, since the stores don't keep any stock. After the mandatory minimum 30 days, the mattress had not gotten any softer. The other memory foams we tried out, got softer about 5-10 minutes after laying on them with body heat, but not these. Both my wife and I noticed no improvement with achy backs, or tossing and turning at night. We followed the "break in" advice from the salesperson (let the kids jump o them, crawl around on them on knees and elbows, etc) but still no improvement. In order to return them, we had to call customer service first, where they really wanted us to just exchange them for a different mattress. Unfortunately there were not any others that we were interested in, so they started the refund process. After the customer service rep got everything done on her end, she gave me my return authorization number, then told me I needed to contact the store, to process the actual refund, and schedule the pick up of the mattresses. We are keeping our power bases, no issues with them, but went to one of the "big name mattress stores" and found what we hope are going to be better mattresses.

We moved all the old furniture out of the room except the new mattress, which we left on the floor, sitting on the new plastic it was wrapped in. Upon arrival I asked the delivery crew if they needed me to move the mattress or lean it against one of the walls of the room so it would be out of the way. He said not to bother, they'd handle it. I waited downstairs with my wife as they put our furniture together. An hour later they asked me to come up and inspect. We noticed the mattress wasn't in the room and assumed they had moved it. After inspecting we went back downstairs to wait. One of the men approached us and asked us to sign for the job because they were done. We asked about our mattress to which he replied there wasn't one to be delivered. We explained we weren't having one delivered, that it was already here. Where was our brand new mattress? They just looked at us blankly. We explained again, and suddenly a light turned on for one of the men. He suddenly began profusely apologizing. Turns out they took it to the curb in the rain and were going to throw it out. Upon reviewing our security cam footage we could see they took our brand new mattress to their truck where they leaned it against it, one side on the road for 30 min. When they brought it back inside it was covered in dirt, soaked in rain and the new fabric was roughed up. Called Bob's and got a customer service person. Hard to understand them but they were helpful. We've been told it can take up to 72 business hours for someone to return our call and review our claim. We will never do business with this store again. Beware! Avoid their delivery service.
