I have had nothing other than a positive experience with Goodall service technicians. They are always professional and very helpful in resolving issues. However, the billing departments is horrendous. In May-June of 2024 I had numerous mechanical issues with my pool. as one problem arose, another surfaced. In all cases, (as required by Goodall), I paid for services and parts as the repairs were made. But, it did not end with that. Over a year later (it is currently July of 2025), I continue to receive new bills....oh, we forgot this, we didn't bill for that. i received a new bill today for $179 with no explanation and no description of what it is for. Goodall was last at my house for service in October of 2024. if you are going to contract with Goodall, make sure you keeps records and notes on all conversations. read more

Do not contract this company for any services. First, they have no qualified pool technicians. It all started when they opened my pool and did not take out all the water return plugs. So I spent two weeks and hundreds of dollars on chemicals only to have a friend who owns a plumbing company figure out the return plugs were still in and not filtering water. Then they send out individuals who pretend to look like they are competent with a water tester and a pool vaccum. Since then calls and emails to service team have gone unanswered. They were not cleaning the filters causing the heater to not operate after they replaced the thermostat. Now the Goodall pool service person cleaned out the DE filters onto my yard. Now I have called and emailed Goodall since Sunday August 25th and no response from them as of August 29th. $3,000 dollars for service over the summer. Better off lighting $100 dollar bills on fire in the street. Nothing Good@All about this company. Run away and learn how to service your own pool. read more

Wanted to like this company. Things went wrong from our first contact with them. If you go to the store to pay an invoice expect to wait an hour or more because no one knows how to operate their point of sale. Cant get an accurate receipt. Had a motor replaced in our tub and had to wait another hour to pay the bill in the store. Ordered a new hot tub cover with lift. Delivery and install was scheduled for 3 pm. It arrived at 6 pm and was missing a lift. Staff can't explain why and there is no way to reach the store because they close at five. We had planned on ordering a new tub for more than $9000. With what we have experienced thus far we're taking our business elsewhere. They will give you a spiel about the decades their family business has been around. That may be true but every single encounter we have had with them has been negative. read more

Goodall built our pool 3 years ago. We were happy with the design and are very happy with the service.

I have a hot tub that has a leak. I contacted Goodall Pools and Spas for a service call. They sent two technicians to check it out on 11/19/24. They pulled off the 4 panels surrounding my hot tub and felt around for leaks. They said they could not find the leak and reattached the panels and left. I went on You Tube and searched leaking hot tubs. You Tube pointed out specific areas within hot tubs inner workings that can be prone to leaks. You Tube showed how to remove the insulation to check for leaks at these key spots. The Goodall technicians didn't do any of this. They did not appear to be trained on leaking hot tub repairs. I received a bill for a service charge of $99 which I am willing to pay. However, Goodall Pools also included an additional charge of $160 for the technicians attempt to locate the leak. I have called on numerous occasions to speak with a manager about the extra charges but to no avail. Apparently Goodall Pools does not return customer calls to try and resolve customer complaints. That in itself speaks volumes on how reputable this company is so I highly recommend you find someone else to service your hot tub. read more

I've been working with the Goodall Pool's team in Mechanicsburg/Camp Hill for several years now. I've never had a bad experience with any of them, ranging from routine maintenance to pool openings and closures. They always get it right the first time! In May of '23 I had them do a complete pool restoration, i.e. new liner, pump, filter and conversion from chlorine to saline. I worked with Andrea Barker from beginning to end; the entire process was smooth, efficient, on time and on budget, exactly like I was promised, no surprises. The owner of the company visited my house three times to advise me on what I needed and to check on the work of his employees. I enjoyed talking with him and appreciated his professional advice. Excellent and timely customer service and all round professional team. They are friendly, patient and persistent (in resolving any issues). We're so happy to have chosen them for our pool service. The pool in the house we bought had not been opened in 2 years so it took a few cleaning to make it look like a pool again and the cleaning service team (coordinated by Angie) has been great (it's starting to look like a pool!). The tech team also did a great job installing a pool heater (troubleshooting an issue due to faulty wiring by another service provider), installing an anode, replacing most of the parts of the salt-water system. We bought the Gold membership package and are, so far, very happy with the results. Thank you! read more

Worst service no black privilege here. Spent over 7000.00 this year for a liner and a pump and had to keep calling in for for is supposed to be expected. Purchased a pool cleaner, had to return. Gave AHS one price and me another price. Closed my pool for $413, didn't even lower the water. Had to beg for rebate forms. And they installed my pool. Never again. read more

Poor communication from all levels of the company. I have had a leak problem and I hired them to fix it. $800 bucks into the troubleshooting and still have the leak. On one ticket, the dispatcher noted that I wanted a pressure test. I don't even know what that is so how could I know to ask for one. Anyway, they did the pressure test and it was negative so they left and charged me $237 and I still have the leak. What I actually said, come to my house do what ever you need to do, come back as many times as you need to come back and tell me at the end what was the leak and what it costs to fix it. That way I don't have to keep calling, keep getting separate transaction fees, don't get follow-ups from managers when I request to speak with one, etc. Note, this review could have been prevented if the manager called me as I was promised! One a separate note that doesn't have anything to do with this company specifically: Don't get a pool. The only thing that works on a pool is the owner and it is very VERY expensive. read more

When I inherited a pool with my new home, I knew nothing about it. Goodalls was the only place willing to help. They sent someone out to give me an orientation and they did it for free. They also closed my pool and will open it for me next year. read more

I have had 2 pools installed by Goodall. They open and close my pool without problems. Although we have had some issues over the years, they were always resolved. Bob Goodall takes pride in his company. They are checking water quality safely during the pandemic. Now we just need some warm weather! read more

I am very surprised Goodall Pools is still open. They are one of the worst company I have ever worked with. When we moved in there was a hot tub in a yard. After about 2 years of living there the spa stopped working. We called Goodall and they came out and told us it would be over $800 to fix the panel, there was no communication on there end that there might be other issues. When my husband went to fill it after spending $800 dollars the brand new panel did not work. Long story short a tech came out and another part needed replaced for over $600. And on top of it they charged my credit card for $330 for service to come out because we were under the impression that it wasnt working because of the thing we just paid to be fixed. If we do get the other part fixed it will not be with Goodall. They have terrible costumer service, so rude! And extremely over priced. I would not recommend them at all, and will never use them again. They are truly the WORST!!!!!! read more

Goodall pool repairs may be the most incompetent individuals on the planet. I employed them to diagnose a leak in my pool. It was a process to say the least!They would show up sporadically with weeks in between, bringing their rinky dink leak detection device and repairing tiny little imperfections in the brand new liner. One of the workmen even apologized that "he couldn't stay under the water for very long without his scuba gear, (which was left in the other truck,) due to his smoking a pack day habit." Mean while I'm losing 1 1/2 - 2 inches of water a day. After all the time passed and "diagnostics" were done, they told me the leak was in my liner. I replaced it to the tune of $6000, After doing so, the leak was as bad as ever. They then told me to replace my liner again, and quoted me $7,500. They guaranteed me it was not the steps. Well, guess what... it was the steps. When I dug the steps out it sounded like a river was rushing behind them. How they missed this is nearly unbelievable. The level of their incompetence is incomprehensible. I recommend filling your pool in before allowing these clowns anywhere near it. We've had good luck with Atlantis Pools, they've already installed a beautiful 8 foot set of steps, next up another liner:/ I know that this will perhaps adversely affect my credit rating however, i will not, out of principle pay this bill. read more

I Was in need of 2 things for my pool And had stopped at Leslie's pools on the Carlisle pike. The employee there had no idea what she was even looking. All she said is we don't have that. I then went to Goodall pools on Simpson ferry rd and the girls there couldn't have been more helpful! What a great experience and will definitely be getting all my supplies from them.
