An unexpected death in the family left me scurrying to find a same day catering business. Walmart subs were my first choice, but they were unable to do same day. When I called Goodcents, a man named Tommy, said he could do it and do quickly. When I told Tommy, I needed 30 subs ASAP he said, come on in. This enthusiasm was much appreciated and not only a relief but apropos because Goodcents was the deceased favorite sub sandwich. The bread at Goodcents is the BEST! Great service, amazing bread (pepper garlic), hand sliced meats, and a pretty decent price. Unfortunately, I did forget to get one of those large cookies . This place use to be the best Goodcents.... To be fair this was originally my fault, I placed an online order for pick up to the wrong location. I got to the one off Mexico and they said they could make me an order I just needed to cancel it with other location since it's a different franchise. I understood, I called to get it refunded. Whoever answered was very rude and sounded like I was inconveniencing him. I was in the middle of the other location around 10 other people and the guy on the phone said he needed my card. I didn't want to give it at first so he got an attitude and said I could drive 15 mins and do it in person (very abrasive). I was on my lunch break and didn't have time for that so I reluctantly read my card number to him. He had the worse attitude and said that it would take a couple business days to show refund. I waited over 10 days and was never refunded. Completely unacceptable. read more

Very glad to see them reopen. The new ownership is much better. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and make sure your order is right. I go there for lunch, and you can't beat the price. I'm in and out in no time. Have been to this location at least once a week for about a year. I told the girl checking out what we had and verified with her 3 times before payment. Saying that the sub sacs were drinks and chips and that I had 5 extra cookies. When I went to grab my chips she started screaming across the room that she didn't charge for me for the chips. I didn't have a receipt to double check that she did as I asked when checking out - They accused me of stealing the chips and were extremely rude. I love sub sandwiches and I think the vast majority of people do as well. We all know the two King pins of the sub sandwich industry and that's: Subway and Jimmy John's. I thought I'd give Goodcent's a try. The place is fairly small with about five tables to choose from. I wouldn't call the place an amazing dining experience but a good "to go" place. The service was very friendly from the sandwich artist to the register. That is a complete 180 from what you see at Subway. Subway workers always look unhappy in every way possible. The main take away from here was the food. I ordered the oven roasted chicken sandwich. First things first, the bread here is a lot softer than Jimmy John's or Subway. The bread really sealed the deal for me here. The chicken that was put on my sandwich was freshly sliced on a meat cutter instead of being in a plastic bag for hours on the counter till somebody ordered it. The sandwich was just fresh, something you don't get everywhere. I highly recommend this place over Subway or Jimmy John's. It's a great place to grab a sandwich to go while having fair prices for what they offer. 4 Stars! read more

A frequent place for my coworkers and me to have lunch. Staff is very friendly and fast! This is a sub sandwich, salad, & soup shop. Always fresh ingredients to build your delicious sandwich. I find that they beat the competition hands down with value and taste, and the wheat bread is so soft & flavorful it will knock your socks off. For those of us with a sweet tooth, you should try their chocolate chip cookies. Went today and ordered multiple subs, including 3 veggie subs. The veggie sub I had had 3-4 pieces of lettuce so most bites of my VEGGIE sub didn't even have lettuce. There isn't much to a veggie sub besides the vegetables and lettuce is a key component. There were 5-6 employees working and no one in line when we ordered and it was still made like this. Really good subs. Nice, fresh quality bread as well. My coworker raved about this place all the time so I had to try it. The subs themselves are really good. The price is pretty decent as well. Only real things I didn't like is the soup and the bacon. The bacon is simply too crunchy for me. I also would be hesitant to order online for pick up again. Which is the major reason for the rating reduction. The online order didn't have Anything I wanted added onto the sub. The sub in question usually comes with jalapeno, but I had requested none, but it was still on there. They also had a really hard time figuring out which order was mine. Instead of asking for an order number that was texted to me, they asked for my name and started guessing what sub since there were a few with the same name. Good place over all. I use to love subway and now I can't stand it I did a google search for subs and I found this place and I'm in love with Goodcents Deli it's definitely one of a kind best tasting. Once a fairly strong presence in the StL, Mr. Goodcents has, for the most part, disappeared. My friends and I would make special treks to the Goodcents on St. Charles Rock Road. When that location closed, we would try to find random locations to frequent. Luckily, one has stayed strong in St. Peters! It all starts with the bread. Goodcents has the softest French bread in town! I've dreamt about that doughy divine! Even the wheat bread is soft, which is not always the case at other sandwich chains. As far as bread goes, Goodcents has cornered the market! And then come the options. Goodcents offers a few less sandwich options than Subway, but the overall product is better. You have the option of eight, twelve, or sixteen inch subs. Also, they have what's called "The Satisfier," for people who are not that hungry. Cold subs, hot ones, and pasta, Goodscents has plenty to please the avid hoagie fan. Also, their prices are on par with Subway. If you're in St. Charles County and looking for a grade A hoagie, get to Mr. Goodcents! I don't take my sammies lightly. read more

So. I go to Goodcents and unusually their dress table was covered so I couldn't see my sandwich be dressed. Then I was not offered standard dress and was also not asked if I was part of the loyalty program... they messed up my sandwich and when I opened it there was a black hair in it. I have blonde hair so I knew this couldn't be mine. My sandwich was also very oily and my bag was greasy and soaked in it, keep in mind I did not ask for any oil.
