This is White Castle, folks, the crown jewel of hamburger cravings. Hell, they even made two movies…read moreabout this place. It's got to be good, right? Oh yeah. Dejected, disappointed, amazed. All adjectives to describe any Kansas Citian's remorse when WC packed up their burgers and moved out of town. Like the day the Colts left Baltimore in the middle of the night. When the Supersonics turned their back on Seattle for Oklahoma City. When your first love moved to Pittsburgh because her dad got a promotion. Sigh..... White Castle sliders are legit. These little buggers take about 2 minutes to cook because of their skimpy size. Who cares. Delicious. Get them with or without cheese, teeny onions included with a baby pickle slice thrown on top. Eat it while its hot because no self respecting WC fan likes a soggy bun. No sir. I've eaten 10 of these at a time before and had the stomach ache to prove it. Want ketchup? You'll have to grab 20 packets like in a school lunch line to satisfy your needs. The crinkly fries are also good. Don't pass up the opportunity for some chicken rings also. If you have the means, I highly recommend them. Yes, it's fast food. No, it's not good for you. Yes, you'll earn some serious street cred. No, you can't find them west of this location in Wentzville. Yes, I'll have some more. No, crave cases in your local freezer section aren't the same. Yes, my pupils dilate when I talk about WC. No, I'm not addicted. Yes, the first step is admitting you have a problem. No, just give me more.

I love Culver's. I've eaten in dozens of Culver's in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. So, I…read morewas excited to find a Culver's when driving across Missouri. First the good news, my butter burger and crinkle fries were delicious - exactly what I expected. That said - the restaurant wasn't exactly dirty but I had trouble finding a clean table to eat at (approximately 7:15p). There were a lot of employees behind the counter but no one wiping tables. Both the men's and women's restrooms were dirty and verged on disgusting. In addition, the men's rooms was totally out of paper towels. I reported the dirty restrooms to an employee at the counter. He apologized and said he'd get some right on it. The young guy who brought our food out NEVER SAID A WORD. He dropped the tray on the table and walked away. A different guy brought the food out to the next table and he was very personable and asked the customers if everything looked good. Finally. My wife's burger was only warm, not hot. I don't think this will be a place i visit on my next trip across I-70.

Wrong... food did not make it out until 5:20.. ice cream melted. Food cold.. when the worker brought the food they rudely said "you parked in the wrong spot". Mind you there are only two spots for the online order and they were full, when that was pointed out the response was "guess you shoulda called the store". Why would I call the store when your app says "press when here".

On our most recent experience, things appear to have slipped off. The service was still good, and…read morethe relaxed atmosphere works, even though the booth I sat in was getting a little worse for wear with a hole in the back, and a lack of support. An odd sign in the entry notes that are no longer accepting their previously issued gift certificates (wait, so you took money for these and are no longer honoring them?), but it didn't impact me. The food was where things went south. It took 30 minutes in a half full restaurant. I ordered the namesake Tattooed Dog, as I've had it before. It arrived with onion rings... 4 of them, from medium down to small. The dog was mostly warm (not hot), but withered like it had been cooking for a while. The meat was placed atop chili that was cold... cold enough to rob the warmth from some spots of the dog. The bun was a soggy mess, and none of the cheese was melted, so it couldn't have been under the heat lamp. It looked fanciful when served, but it was very underwhelming eating compared to past experiences. My wife had the chicken wrap, served with French fries. In a day and age when competitors give out fries like they need to clear an overstocked situation, it was a small handful that would normally be found in a Happy Meal from the famous clown. The wrap itself was shy on the chicken, and heavy on the dressing inside. What used to be a nice place, appears to be sliding downhill, as if the kitchen has given up. If they've checked out, so have we.
