A Hot Stuffed Brekkie and a sausage, egg and cheese on a plain bagel. Girl that took our order was pleasant and kept calling us darling. Barista made a large coffee instead of a regular, a win for me. Coffee had a touch to much SF caramel for me but the cold brew was good. Not acidic or bitter. At first I wasn't impressed only because it seemed like a lot of time passed before our sandwiches were ready. We were a little pressed for time because we were going on the brewery tour in about 25 minutes. Once we received our sandwiches we went outside at a table because my husband said it was smokey and something was burning his eyes. I didn't notice. I have to tell you my Hot Stuff was fantastic and definitely worth the wait. The English muffin homemade. It was toasted perfectly but doughy on the inside. The cheddar melted, bacon crisp, egg a nice medium. It was messy from the hot honey but it was pure heaven to my taste buds. I'm going to dream about this sandwich for days. Sausage bagel, husband said it was good but he took a bite of mine and said it didn't compare. If in the Pottsville area I highly recommend.

First, I ordered coffee and after being asked if I took sugar and replying that I would like to sweeten my own coffee the guy making the drinks added a TON of sugar (way way too much for anyone). Next, my partner orders an iced chai and he responds with "what would you like that made with?" - huh? Aren't you supposed to be a barista? Turns out, he had no idea what he was doing as he prepared water, ice and a few squirts of chai flavor - it was awful. Now for the atmosphere: crammed tables and local/regulars who are like yelling machines. Also: people smoke right outside the back entrance which was wafting in the entire time. Perhaps we caught it on a bad day, but I was disappointed.

Sage is more of a cafe - and the winding staircase really does lead to a tea garden! The menu consists of creatively strewn delicious pita wraps, sandwiches and salads that can be satisfying for anyone looking for a healthier alternative that is more than just a plain salad, fruit or granola on your lunch break or if you're meeting here for lunch. It is within convenient walking distance if you work or will be close to the downtown area. Service is knowledgeable, fast, warm and very friendly. I wanted to stay longer to savor my veggie and hummus wrap but at least the after thought is still lingering on my tongue! I feel satisfied and full of energy - how I LIKE to feel after a meal. If I had more time, I would have liked to see a dessert menu. However, I saw some cookies and a frosted pound cake on the counter top. I hope that's not all there is to the dessert menu! Would return to try the tea garden. I'd be interested to see what types of selections of teas that they have to offer. A caveat though is that they are not always open - so call ahead before you bring your appetite or thirst for good tea so you won't be disappointed!

If I could give 6 stars I would. I'm a coffee snob. I say this not to brag, but rather to provide…read morecontext. I've spent a ton of time in serious coffee shops from Shanghai to New York with Q graders and baristas with bonafides. Alabaster can stand up to the best of them. The coffees we tried were fantastic. The Rwandan was delicious and the roast complimented the natural expression of the beans. My dad got the Ugandan which was awesome as well. I grabbed a bag of the Salvadoran beans to take home, and it brews up an amazingly clean and interesting cup (I used a V60). One of the better cafes I've visited in the U.S. with a roaster that knows what they're doing. On top of all that, the tahini date banana bread we tried was seriously good and wasn't a premade, mass produced baked good like so many cafes have resorted to in recent years. On top of that, the cafe was beautiful with reclaimed wood tables. We were traveling with our dog and they allowed her in because she was well-behaved. Nice people, awesome cafe, world-class coffee, and seriously good pastries. Keep up the incredible work! I will be back to Williamsport for more.

There were plenty of outlets along the walls, which made it relatively easy to study. There was a lot of foot traffic, but the overall ambiance did not get too rowdy, providing pleasant white noise. There were a few seasonal specials, but otherwise the selection was not very large. The tea selection was rather small, especially considering it is part of their name. Drinks came out extremely quickly. There was a dish tub near the entrance to drop items off after finishing. I tried their seasonal egg nog cappuccino, and it came out lightly warm. The egg foam was not overwhelming and the spiced notes were well incorporated into the drink. It was not too sweet and gave me a pleasant buzz. I hope to see more diverse tea options in the future, but the overall feel and quality of this cafe were great.

My husband ate almost the entire shepherds pie by himself...he was hungry and it's good. I just finished eating a chocolate mint cupcake that was so tasty. Their chocolate croissants are fabulous as well. Service was friendly and speedy yesterday. I was there at 4pm so I have found they are less busy at that time of day when I want to buy things to take home. If I lived closer to Zig's I would probably be there more often, but as it is, I am still thankful it's only a 30 minute drive from my home.

I get the tuna melt every single time, and listen... their tuna is unreal. Perfectly seasoned, not too mayo-heavy, toasted just right it's basically my emotional support lunch at this point. I also never skip the seasonal drink special. Today's was the apple chai-der and it was so cozy and delicious. Their drink specials always feel like you're sipping the current season through a mug. Zig's also has an entire cooler/freezer wall packed with soups, applesauce, and grab-and-go meals. My all-time favorite soup is the Tomato Pepper Jack absolutely phenomenal. If you see it, grab two. Trust me. The bakery case? Dangerous. Cupcakes, pies, whoopie pies, parfaits... it's basically dessert heaven behind glass. And then there's my holy grail: the Buffalo Cauliflower. It's a rare find, and when I spot it I buy it in full apocalypse-prep quantities. No regrets. Between the rustic vibe, great coffee, incredible baked goods, and comfort-food lunches, Zig's is one of those places you keep coming back to because it just feels good and tastes even better. Highly recommend!
