    Double cheeseburger and cheesy fries
    Chris L.

We were driving by Danny's Drive-In after spending the weekend camping in the area. My brothers name happens to be "Danny" and that was a good enough reason for us to stop for lunch. In all, we ordered two double cheeseburgers, cheese fries, chicken fingers, regular fries, and two sodas, which came out to roughly $20. I'm not sure how you can complain about those prices, but apparently some people can. Those prices don't look like they've changed since Danny opened in 1940. That's obviously a joke, but they've actually only gone up a buck over the past 7 years according to another reviewer's picture. That's not bad and, honestly, pretty nice of the local drive in to stay affordable. The food was great considering how inexpensive it was and rivaled any sort of cheap burger I've ever had. You have to order it "with everything". They said that's how they do it so that's how you should eat it. The staff was also very nice and helped us through the menu. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be back!

Old diner/drive in. Its been there as long as I can remember. My mom says it was there when she was a kid, but they called it The Boulevard. Don't expect anything fancy. We've always gone for the cheeseburger with hot sauce. Be prepared, they're small but good. They taste like I remember. Fries are good. I tried the Honey dipped chicken too, it was good. Be sure to get a jar of hot sauce to take home. And get some ice cream for dessert. Staff if friendly. The decor hasn't changed. I recognize the same wallpaper in the bathroom from when I was a kid.

While exploring Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine, we decided to stop here for a quick bite. So glad we did! The food is cooked fresh in the open kitchen, the atmosphere has clearly not changed in years, and the food is fantastic! Try the Mrs. T's pierogis--they are deep-fried! Seating is limited, but on a rainy day there were not many people in the place. If you're looking for a sit-down fancy eatery, then look elsewhere, this is nothing but a diner with friendly, attentive staff and good old-fashioned diner food. Make sure you get a jar of the hot sauce to take home!

Yes the screamer sauce is spicy but it is really tasty, and the fluff chills it out in a very harmonious way. The burger itself is a juicy double patty. The fries reminded us of high school football games and the pierogies were fun with extra toppings. If you learn of the Screamer it is then your destiny to pilgrimage to Girardville and dine on them. Pay your respects to Josie and the amazing family legacy that lives on. We have to go back to try a Growler. Things we learned that we wish we knew before visiting. 1. Seems like the most up to date info on the restaurant can be found on a public Facebook Group called "I Love Tony's Screamers". There is currently no phone. 2. *Right Now* their hours are Thur & Fri 6pm to sell out. 3. You enter the door with the ramp, not actually next to their sign 4. You take a plastic number when you walk in, to get in line for your order. They call your number out to come give your order. 5. Everyone there was super nice and the waitress had no problem answering anyones questions or explaining their menu items. You can order your food however you want it 6. You pay after and its **CASH ONLY**

This is one of those places that nobody talks about that is a kept secret in Schuylkill county. The beer selection and interior design were more impressive than the food…read more Both beers we ordered were poured well and had good citrus and hoppy notes. No complaints there. Besides the staple menu, there was a rotating menu featuring a soup, mussel dish, flatbread, burger, and pasta. The food took some time to come out, and everything was rather bland across the board. The interior was decorated nicely for the holidays though. *Hummus Platter: a huge shareable for $10. The crispy naan resembled the Costco version but fried. The naan itself worked well as a base for the hummus, although the hummus was neither smooth nor flavorful. There was no fragrance from the chickpeas, and it tasted rather unseasoned. The selection of peppers, carrots, and cucumbers was decent. *Garlic Butter Mussels: their monthly mussel dish. The mussels were cooked well and coated in a one dimensional sauce. The sweet wine was cooked down with lots of garlic, while the butter was subtle. I wished there had been a bit more toasted baguette to balance the one pound of seafood. Note there is a 3% credit card surcharge. I could not find this listed on their menu and but I saw the charge on my receipt. I enjoyed the few beers I had, and the food was acceptable for a bar. With some improvement to the flavors, this could be a worthwhile visit for a bite and a drink.

The fries were crispy on the outside but still fluffy on the inside. They were dry service was good not many people in the restaurant for lunch. It was a Tavern type of decor. My only issue was the beer cheese. It tasted too much like beer. The beer flavor was definitely over powering. The other special sauce wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. A typical thousand island type of sauce. But over all it was pretty solid. I would comeback and try something else.
