    Trans Pride Latte

Every time we go to Pottsville we always make a trip to Pressed! It's a great lunch spot after or before the Yuengling tour. We love their easy ordering on the kiosk and their selection of simple but unique food. This time, my dad and sister got bagel sandwiches, and I got a blueberry crêpe. They dropped off an extra crepe at our table before I realized mine was missing blueberries. It was really awesome of them to do that - the crepe the next day was still delicious. My sister who usually doesnt like bagels loved theirs because of the soft bread. I also got the trans pride latte (a pride month special I think) which was also delicious - I'd def recommend that before they sell out (also add sprinkles!) They have a great selection of books to browse while you wait for your order. My sister was able to pick-up some books she found on her list and I think it was only like (~$35 for 7).

Nice coffee shop with books and eats. What more could you ask for. Service was fast and the in house roasted coffee is superb.

This is the coffee shop/place to meet up and enjoy a bite to eat Pottsville desperately needed. The menu is mostly crepes, but there are also some baked goods available. We had the buffalo chicken, banana/Nutella, and Thanksgiving (seasonal I believe) crepes. They were all very tasty. I was particularly impressed with the quality of the ingredients in the crepe fillings. They carry Passenger coffee from Lancaster and make a variety of coffee drinks (drip, lattes, etc.). The used bookstore in the back is really neat and well-organized. It's fun to look through the shelves and see what's available.

    Book shop portion of pressed!

I have finally made it into Pressed Coffee & Books and couldn't be happier. Pressed is a breath of fresh air. My English black breakfast tea was refreshing iced and had notes of orange. I had also ordered one of their savory crepes and decided on the chicken, spinach, goat cheese, and honey crepe. Um... ashamed to say I inhaled that thing. Gone are the days where the county was not just dominated by a national chain coffee company. Although the National chain is still super busy, I welcome the ability to grab a cup of coffee within a cute shop. The book portion of the store made me think of a cute little book shop I recently saw in Madrid. Also, if you're still reading this and unsure if you should visit, what's holding you back?

Overpriced, lukewarm, too small dirty chai latte, extra charge for your milk choice. Staff was pleasant but literally Starbucks is cheaper.

First, I ordered coffee and after being asked if I took sugar and replying that I would like to sweeten my own coffee the guy making the drinks added a TON of sugar (way way too much for anyone). Next, my partner orders an iced chai and he responds with "what would you like that made with?" - huh? Aren't you supposed to be a barista? Turns out, he had no idea what he was doing as he prepared water, ice and a few squirts of chai flavor - it was awful. Now for the atmosphere: crammed tables and local/regulars who are like yelling machines. Also: people smoke right outside the back entrance which was wafting in the entire time. Perhaps we caught it on a bad day, but I was disappointed.

Sage is more of a cafe - and the winding staircase really does lead to a tea garden! The menu consists of creatively strewn delicious pita wraps, sandwiches and salads that can be satisfying for anyone looking for a healthier alternative that is more than just a plain salad, fruit or granola on your lunch break or if you're meeting here for lunch. It is within convenient walking distance if you work or will be close to the downtown area. Service is knowledgeable, fast, warm and very friendly. I wanted to stay longer to savor my veggie and hummus wrap but at least the after thought is still lingering on my tongue! I feel satisfied and full of energy - how I LIKE to feel after a meal. If I had more time, I would have liked to see a dessert menu. However, I saw some cookies and a frosted pound cake on the counter top. I hope that's not all there is to the dessert menu! Would return to try the tea garden. I'd be interested to see what types of selections of teas that they have to offer. A caveat though is that they are not always open - so call ahead before you bring your appetite or thirst for good tea so you won't be disappointed!

In the middle of the floor I was able to find a folding table housing a small covered container of 8 stale looking cupcakes with a mound of pretzel rods sticking out of the top. I saw the picture online and thought they were cute.....looks way worse in person! I felt completely dooped by the descriptions on the website! The decor was old, dusty and outdated.....I think they were trying to go for the vintage tea room look but missed hard! A couple of my friends sampled the only 2 types of cupcakes they carried, and were not pleased in the least. The cupcakes were stale, and had no flavor. Best described as a box cake mix gone wrong. Overall, don't waste your time!

Donerds Donuts is a locally owned small business that's well worth a stop when you're visiting Jim Thorpe. I learned that the owners met in Chile, where they were inspired to start a donut and coffee food truck. They sold their handcrafted donuts from a vintage VW bus on the streets of Santiago before eventually bringing their passion to Pennsylvania. Today, they have two locations, and I had the pleasure of visiting the Jim Thorpe shop. The storefront is charming, welcoming, and has a few seats where you can relax and enjoy your treats with a fresh cup of coffee. Best of all, everything is made fresh on-site. Their display case is filled with an impressive selection of classic and specialty donuts, along with colorful macarons, French toast cinnamon rolls, flaky croissants, and a full lineup of coffee drinks ranging from lattes to iced coffees. Honestly...wow! Deciding what to order wasn't easy. Since it was already midday, I kept it simple and went with a Boston Cream donut. It was incredibly fresh, light, and filled with rich, creamy custard, then topped with a smooth layer of chocolate. Absolutely delicious! A special shout-out to Sarah, who made the visit even better. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain the different donuts and macarons. Everything she described sounded amazing, and she definitely had my mouth watering. I had to show some self-control or I would've walked out with half the display case! She was fantastic. If you're spending the day in Jim Thorpe, do yourself a favor and make a stop at Donerds Donuts. Grab a coffee, treat yourself to one (or a few) fresh donuts, say hello to Sarah, and support a wonderful local business. I know I'll be back the next time I'm in town.

The moment you walk in, it honestly feels like you've stepped into a little café in Paris. The décor is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with elegant touches everywhere that make the space feel cozy but elevated at the same time. The staff was also incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The seating is mostly table seating (no booths), with a few smaller tables set along a hallway-style walkway that opens up into a larger dining area. The way the space is laid out feels intentional and well designed even though the restaurant was getting a lot of attention while I was there, it never felt crowded or overwhelming. Everything flowed nicely. It's colder right now, so their front deck seating wasn't open, but you can tell that when the weather warms up there's additional seating available outside on the deck, which would be such a nice spot to sit. The bathrooms are conveniently located right up front, which makes them easy to find. Parking is also pretty simple, there's parking available in the back of the building, and if those spots are full you can usually find street parking nearby. Here's what I ordered: Pistachio Rose Affogato * Pistachio Italian espresso * Vanilla ice cream * Crushed pistachio * Edible rose petals * Wafer East Coast Croissant * Cheddar cheese * Bacon * Spinach * Scrambled eggs * House-made garlic aioli * Served with breakfast potatoes My drink didn't just look beautiful , it tasted incredible too. The pistachio espresso paired with the vanilla ice cream was already amazing, but the crushed pistachios and edible rose petals really took it to another level. It was sweet, rich, and full of flavor. The East Coast Croissant surprised me in the best way. I'm usually not a big spinach-on-sandwich person, but I wanted to try it exactly as it's served to get the full experience. I'm glad I did because it completely changed my mind! Everything worked together perfectly, and the garlic aioli added so much flavor. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back. Next on my list to try is their Tiramisu French Toast and the Strawberry Matcha.
