Needed a quick breakfast and this was about 2 blocks from our Airbnb. Ordered a regular cold brew with SF caramel breve. A Hot Stuffed Brekkie and a sausage, egg and cheese on a plain bagel. Girl that took our order was pleasant and kept calling us darling. Barista made a large coffee instead of a regular, a win for me. Coffee had a touch to much SF caramel for me but the cold brew was good. Not acidic or bitter. At first I wasn't impressed only because it seemed like a lot of time passed before our sandwiches were ready. We were a little pressed for time because we were going on the brewery tour in about 25 minutes. Once we received our sandwiches we went outside at a table because my husband said it was smokey and something was burning his eyes. I didn't notice. I have to tell you my Hot Stuff was fantastic and definitely worth the wait. The English muffin homemade. It was toasted perfectly but doughy on the inside. The cheddar melted, bacon crisp, egg a nice medium. It was messy from the hot honey but it was pure heaven to my taste buds. I'm going to dream about this sandwich for days. Sausage bagel, husband said it was good but he took a bite of mine and said it didn't compare. If in the Pottsville area I highly recommend. read more

Iced americano was very very good! Top notch! They use Willa's oat milk. Which was nice to see. Clean and organic! We got a crepe - which was also really good. Two breakfast sandwiches which were a solid 3.5/5 - dippy eggs. The space was nice, however it was smoky and also trash cans were overflowing. I would give a better review but the service was very very slow. Took almost 30 minutes to get our order && it was about 11 am (not even busy time of day). It's kinda hard to believe this place even exists. Especially because of where it exists. Pottsville isn't exactly a liberal-progressive Mecca by any means. The Skook is a very, very conservative area of PA these days. So to walk into this place for coffee, it was a pleasant surprise. An oasis of welcoming inclusion, with lots of younger folks reading and working on computers, and enjoying the beverages. A trans flag hangs on the wall, and the ambiance is very hipster with a New Age vibe, clean and bright. The coffee is locally roasted and brewed fresh, and was very good and hot. Didn't try the pastries or food but if the coffee is any indication, it ought to be good also. The collection of used books was eclectic and fun, with a variety of genres. I got a copy of some Dorothy Parker, and generally the prices are very reasonable. read more

Every time we go to Pottsville we always make a trip to Pressed! It's a great lunch spot after or before the Yuengling tour. We love their easy ordering on the kiosk and their selection of simple but unique food. This time, my dad and sister got bagel sandwiches, and I got a blueberry crêpe. They dropped off an extra crepe at our table before I realized mine was missing blueberries. It was really awesome of them to do that - the crepe the next day was still delicious. My sister who usually doesnt like bagels loved theirs because of the soft bread. I also got the trans pride latte (a pride month special I think) which was also delicious - I'd def recommend that before they sell out (also add sprinkles!) They have a great selection of books to browse while you wait for your order. My sister was able to pick-up some books she found on her list and I think it was only like (~$35 for 7). read more

My husband and I are both vegan and while traveling from Philly, we stopped in for a coffee and a snack. While there isn't a true vegan food option, the women behind the counter were more than happy to let us build our own bagel sandwiches. We did bagels with hummus, capers and pickled onions. It was so fresh and super yum! I appreciated their flexibility! It is odd to go to such a progressive coffee shop without a single vegan sandwich, so hopefully they carry more vegan options in the future! Would still recommend! :) read more

This is the coffee shop/place to meet up and enjoy a bite to eat Pottsville desperately needed. The menu is mostly crepes, but there are also some baked goods available. We had the buffalo chicken, banana/Nutella, and Thanksgiving (seasonal I believe) crepes. They were all very tasty. I was particularly impressed with the quality of the ingredients in the crepe fillings. They carry Passenger coffee from Lancaster and make a variety of coffee drinks (drip, lattes, etc.). The used bookstore in the back is really neat and well-organized. It's fun to look through the shelves and see what's available. read more

I have finally made it into Pressed Coffee & Books and couldn't be happier. Pressed is a breath of fresh air. My English black breakfast tea was refreshing iced and had notes of orange. I had also ordered one of their savory crepes and decided on the chicken, spinach, goat cheese, and honey crepe. Um... ashamed to say I inhaled that thing. Gone are the days where the county was not just dominated by a national chain coffee company. Although the National chain is still super busy, I welcome the ability to grab a cup of coffee within a cute shop. I was so happy to see a cool little coffee in Pottsville where you can get espresso and lattes with plant milk. It reminded me of the coffee shops I'd see in the Pacific Northwest. The drinks were delicious and the service was friendly and pleasant. The books are a plus too. That said it's pretty pricey given the locale, and I paid the same price (~$11) if not more for two lattes as I would in a city like Seattle where the cost of running a business is much much higher. But this is the only place like it in the area that I am aware of so they have no competition. One other downside was that both times I was there it took over 10 minutes to get to a couple of drinks. Hopefully they can speed things up in the future, maybe have one person working on takeout orders and someone else doing counter service. All that said, we'll probably be back. read more

I always stop here when traveling to visit family. It's a great place to take a break in between driving or to catch up with friends or family. You can order online too which makes it easier if you're on the go. I stopped in for an iced matcha and iced cookies and cream latte, both delicious. I LOVED this coffee shop!! I might be bias since it consisted of my two favorite things; coffee and books. This coffee shop is adorable and I loved the little book shop attached. I ordered a vanilla latte to go and it was very good. I wish I could of stayed and enjoyed my coffee at the shop and perused the books longer, but due to our time restraints that was not an option. Stopped in Pressed while visiting my family for the weekend. I have been dying to try this new coffee shop since I heard about it a few months back. This is a perfect addition to Pottsville! The barista was very helpful and informative. I had an ice coffee that was delicious but my only complaint was the cup was not big enough. I told one of the owners that I never thought I'd see a place like this in Pottsville, and he said he hears that a lot. I'm not surprised. This is a top notch coffee shop that's up there with establishments you'd find in major cities like New York or Austin, Texas. I had a coffee and a ham and cheese crepe made with egg instead of batter. The crepe was delicious, and the coffee was absolutely perfect. They also have several shelves of very reasonably priced used paperback and hardcover books for sale in the back, which is a nice offering. The interior is modern and beautifully designed, and the seating is comfortable. The shop was pretty full of people working on their laptops a little after 1pm, so it's nice that they accommodate customers who want to be able to do that.
