While visiting Niagara Falls, I was craving an authentic New York-style pizza experience. Yelp led me to Goodfellas Pizzeria, and it did not disappoint. The pizza lived up to the hype. The crust was crispy, the sauce was flavorful, and the cheese was perfectly melted. For a medium pizza, it was huge, probably like 16 inch. But what truly surprised me were the wings. They were massive! I've never seen wings that big before. Where do your chickens come from with wings that large?!?! And they were just as delicious as they were impressive. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with a perfect balance of sauce and spice. On top of that, super meaty! Like some reviewers have mentioned this place is in a sketch looking part of town. It's not a super busy to high traffic place. We were the only diners here, but plenty to pick-up orders. It was not very easy to find and didn't look great from the outside (and not the best area), but we were hangry once we finally got there (we had walked). Haven't been here in years, but when I did use to come the pizza was good. Well after all these years the pizza is still good, especially their char pitted wings. This pizza is the thicker (doughy) type crust that some people love or just hate it. I really enjoy it. You can eat inside the restaurant, but I strongly suggest you order out. Two days ago, I walked into their restaurant and was ignored for 3 minutes before being assisted while one senior staff (possibly manager) sat there with her back to me although could see me in the mirror they were facing. I bought 20 medium wings, got home, and discovered while trying to eat them they would have been better strapped to the bottom of my feet and worn like a great pair of leather shoes. The wings were overcooked, dried out (not a hint of juice anywhere), and little flavor not absent only because of the sauce. I attempted to eat them only because of my hunger and lack of time to return them. I sorely chewed and swallowed half of them chucking it up to being just a bad order. I wasn't going to say anything, but then the next day the thought of $25 for dried out, nastiest wings I've ever been served, changed my mind. I returned to the restaurant and explained the condition of the wings and how I had eaten half of them, miserably. I never asked for anything. I merely wanted to express my dissatisfaction and give them the opportunity if they chose to accept it to remedy the situation. I was told they weren't going to do anything because their "policy" (stressed several times) was the wings had to be returned the same day. I explained I didn't have time yesterday and it fell on deaf ears. Instead of treating me as a customer, they treated me as somebody trying to scam them out of 10 wings. I felt offended and boldly told them they just lost a customer! They didn't seem to care at all and merely reiterated their policy as I left. Customer service was lacking and the quality of the food was abysmal. I was surprised considering how much I've enjoyed their pizza and wings in the past. Perhaps they have a new line cook, but it doesn't matter. I recommend their managers and employees take a course in providing quality customer service. Maybe then they would realize the importance of customer relations and realize how having one dissatisfied customer can quickly become 10 or more, just by word of mouth alone, about their experience. A better policy: Serve quality food to begin with and nobody will want to return it. If the customer's not satisfied, bend over backwards to try to appease them and keep them as a happy "paying" customer. Those working there might want to start seeking employment elsewhere if they continue with their current customer policy practices. The inside of this place is so worn down, tacky, and falling apart. The seats have rips in them, the walls are dirty and discolored, the bathroom stalls won't lock, and the floors are disgusting. So I would suggest if you are desperate for their pizza, get it to go. The pizza was good. The sauce was delicious and there was just the right amount of cheese. I ordered slices and was disappointed when they brought out square slices from clearly two different pies. I'm pretty sure they had some left over cheese pizza, threw some pepperoni on it, put it in the oven for 5 minutes and served it. The prices were excellent however. $5 for 4 square slices. read more

There are just not a lot of Goodfellas around anymore. And those that are good, are already taken. Taken by the deliciousness of this Pizza, that is! I'm not really sure if there is much competition, but this is hands down the best pizza in Niagara Falls. It's also one of the better pizza options in Buffalo because it's so noticeably different to the pizza in the WNY region. I honestly don't think there is anything else quite like Godfathers (oops, I mean Goodfellas), but it's very delicious. You might even say it's St. Louis style pizza, except that I don't like St. Louis pizza, but I love this place, so I'm not sure how that works itself out. What's even better than the deliciousness of the pizza is the price. You can get a slice for $1. They're not very big, but they're utterly delicious and 2 or 3 of them will easily fill you. If you have never tried this place you simply must try it because it's so different and you might find that you adore it like I do. It sometimes can be a bit of a wait for the pizza, but it's worth it. The place looks a bit like a run down bar (like Partners, maybe, in Lovejoy), but the people are friendly and the pizza is magnificent. It's also a little bit hard to find in a kind of run down city (why is Niagara Falls USA run down? I have no idea, but it is. It's embarrassing that America lets one of its most famous towns be so underfunded, honestly). But once you do find it, off Pine in the heart of Little Italy next to a large parking lot on what looks like a sort of back alley type street... my word it's so worth the visit. It's right round the corner from Michael's, too, which is one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. Dined in here yesterday. The place is not easy to find as it's located within the market behind McDs. It's in need of a major remodeling, or just tear it down. Torn front sign, super old furniture, old bathrooms with things falling apart and no toilet paper, about 6 booths but uncomfortable seat cushions, very dark lighting--it's pretty nasty inside folks. The server was friendly and immediately gave us menus. Reasonable prices, we ordered pizza and wings. It took about 25 minutes for them to make it. The pizza came out first and it was fantastic. Excellent chewy crust, tasty sauce, and tons of cheese--a big winner! The wings came out 10 minutes later and were too overcooked (possibly our fault as we asked for extra crispy). The mild wings didn't seem to have much of any sauce on them, the hot wings were the typical sauced wings, but not that great. I would not eat in here again due to the conditions, this place is best used for takeout. read more

Had a colleague in from out of town and solicited my friends that live in the Falls for where to take her for wings. This was the ONLY place suggested by 4 of my friends. Was told chargrilled wings hands down. My colleague got her wings mild chargrilled which seemed a bit dry to me, but she enjoyed them. I got my wings hot bbq and they were tasty, charred just right and spicy! We both ordered the pizza logs as well, since they are a local thing too! The logs were crispy without being greasy and the accompanying sauce was good too. My boyfriend had a turkey sub and said he enjoyed it very much. All three of us left satisfied and full! read more

We ordered food at 8:16 PM and told food would take about an hour to be delivered to our hotel. (so around 9:16 PM) We called at 9:45 PM, now 1.5 hours after the food was supposed to be here and the woman on the phone was very rude and frankly didn't give a crap. She said she is supposed to tell everyone about 1 hour for delivery but that could also actually mean the food could take longer and she doesn't know what else to tell us . Probably not the right answer! We were told about an hour. About an hour should not mean HOURS! We also told the woman on the phone that if the hot food is cold and the cold food is hot, we're sending it back. She said thst was fine. It is now 10:24 PM and still no food. This was our first time ordering from Goodfella's and we won't ever again. I understand they are busy but as a business owner and if I treated my clients this way I wouldn't be in business. Goodfellas's, please understand that great customer service comes from the heart. it doesn't sound like the person answering the phone cares to be there. I see a lot of good reviews fr the food. The total was a couple dollars more than I had available. I was going to go home for 2 bucks, but this kind woman insisted my safety during this blizzard was more important and she hoped to see me again! So kind! Usually don't order from here because I was never impressed with their pizza but we thought we'd try their pasta dinners. We ordered what we were told was rigatoni and meatballs and when we got the order the pasta was not rigatoni it was penne noodles. Also the sauce was very generic and bland. The food was just okay by they gave you a lot. I would say great on quantity but a fail on quality and they need to know the difference between rigatoni and penne which is a huge difference. Really loved this place at first, but the service isn't worth the food. They rush you on the phone and then take forever to get the food out, even when it's dead. Last time they wrote my to go name wrong and then refused to let us pick it up because the name didn't match.
