    French Onion Soup
    Christopher M.

This place never disappoints. If I've said they have the best French onion soup 100 times, I have to say it at least 100 more. Their stinger sub is outstanding too, all the great flavor with little to no mess. Their food and service is always consistent, you never have to worry about getting a bad meal.

Stopped in for lunch and got a stinger sub. The sub was good but not great...there was ample meat and stuff on the sub but I didn't care for the roll...it was too heavy. I do like a good sub roll but this one was not my favorite. Will give 4 stars but didn't love the roll!

Four of us came in for an early dinner on Sunday at 2:30pm, the place was quiet. They have some booths by the window and we took one of those. There's a fireplace nearby that you can sit by as well. It's a nice decor. Our server, Karen, was super friendly, quick, and just amazing. The poor thing was the only one serving customers and had to run around a lot. We ordered a pepperoni half-tray and 20 hot and mild wings for $45, which I felt was a little pricey. We also ordered 10 more BBQ wings on the pit for $17. Most bottles of beer were only $4 and glasses of wine for $5; very reasonable. The pizza came out first and was cooked well with lots of cheese and cupped pepperoni. The underneath wasn't crispy but overall the pizza was pretty good. All wings, without asking, were cooked very crispy. The hot sauce was more like medium, the mild sauce standard. The BBQ wings from the pit were everyone's favorite; absolutely delicious. Total for the night was $85 plus tip, a bit high but tasty food with decent decor.

Old-fashioned vs cheese pizza slices. As you can see I already tried it.

We stopped in for takeout. I fully intended to get a Chicken Finger sub, but when I saw the pizza slices, I could not resist. My husband ordered the sub and I got to try it and it was really good. I have been trying to find the best chicken finger sub in Buffalo/Niagara Falls and it just might be this one. For my dinner, I could not decide between the old-fashioned and cheese pizza slices, so the wait staff helped me ;) Thank you so much. They are so different and each good in their own way. I think the old-fashioned won by a smidge, but regardless they both were so good and hit the spot. I will definitely be back in the future to eat in the restaurant.

    Meat lovers NY Pizza (Small)

Don't honestly know what would have made our experience here any better. We are not white table cloth folks and we're very thankful to be sent to Mr Ventry's by a local. We decided when in New York, you must have New York style pizza. And Mr Ventry's did not disappoint. Good crispy crust, and meats (we choose meat lovers) BUT the sauce was definitely a step above! Tangy and a little chunky over all just yum!! The atmosphere is very casual family friendly, definitely a "local joint" we're all are welcome. Jennifer S took good care of us during our dining. Thanks

The Haddock and the pizza were the best food that we have at a restaurant since we left Florida a week ago. Our server was the only one working the floor and she was so busy but the service she provided was wonderful. This is probably on of the nicest pizza restaurants you'll see in Niagara Falls.

Our ice tea  :(  $3 I would've appreciated IF they had told it it was freshly made in a glass. We would've declined this!

On Mother's Day we went here after months of driving right past. It was crowded inside and outside being a special day, but we were seated immediately. I'll tell you right now: if you seek a military discount, tell them when you get the bill because otherwise - unlike other places we've dined at - they will not honor your status. Being a very busy night, the wait was a bit long but expected. Don't eat out on a special Day like Mother's Day IF you want to eat and depart quickly! This is the very first time inside here and it was new-looking still and roomy. The seats behind me had a kid kicking on the back, so I moved to sit side by side with my wife. My wife had fish fry while I opted to try the Eggplant dinner, which comes with spaghetti with sauce. Right off, their drinks comes in commercially-purchased 20oz plastic bottles, which really surprised me as I thought this was a true sit-down restaurant. Our ice tea in a commercial bottle at $3 a 20oz bottle. IF they would have had the decency to tell us they are so lazy they don't offer this freshly made in a glass, we would have refused this plastic bottle! The idea is to use LESS plastic and more recyclable glass! I would later be surprised again. Our dinners arrive finally and we dig in. The eggplant are four sliced breaded discs instead of the side cut whole piece of eggplant that I am accustomed to, so now I am basically eating 1/3 of a whole eggplant, simply meaning the diner gets LESS for the buck. On the same plate is spaghetti covered with red sauce. Nothing really tasted good while eating; this could have been the spaghetti meals served in the military. Not really filled with spices nor flavor, BUT that's just my impression. As I finished my meal, I noted that - first time ever - I ate a spaghetti meal with sauce and had NO bread! Disgusting, and this place calls themselves authentic Italian! I think not!! I tried catching the attention of our server to ask for bread... or after a few more minutes ANYone for that matter, but that was impossible with all the people dining, so we just wanted to pay the bill and get out. That's probably WHY I forgot to ask if they offered a military discount, and when I tried to correct my error just a minute later, she said no, she's already started the transaction. When this happened at other eateries we've been to, they simply canceled and start over with NO problem, but not here! They also did something that I really hate: they were constantly cleaning the floor with a broom and dustbin which throws up dust. If WE had seen this done before we ordered, we would have left. We are happy we did come here finally, and thankful they were so helpful in helping us decide if this place would be a destination again in the future.

If you love thicker style crust, then Mr Ventry's is perfect for you. The wings were really good as well. I just would've like them to be, a little more crispy.

Old fashioned pizza slice, tough to find this anymore

Stop here whenever I'm in town. Love their old fashioned pizza, which I miss from my childhood. The meaty stinger sub salad fits into my keto diet, even if the pizza doesn't. Can't go wrong with chicken fingers and cheese steak on a big bed of lettuce and tomatoes with oil dressing and blue cheese.

Ask the Community - Mr. Ventry's Pizza on the Boulevard

Can you use a Mr. Ventry's gift card for an online order? I've been trying to place an online order, but I'm only given the option of Apple Pay or a Credit Card.

In a review I just read by Richard W. He states that gift cards are not an option when ordering on line so the answer to this question is no. But maybe the powers that be will add that option for paying if people keep telling them they want it.

First off I will say, no complaints on the price or customer service. The woman was so friendly and personable it made me not want to leave a review since it's not a good one. She was a gem; the pizza: not so much. And judging by the reviews here, maybe it was just an off moment. The sauce wasn't so sweet as I wanted. But that's subjective. However, what I hated the most was my slices were soggy and cold. I mean so soggy I couldn't even eat my last slice. And cold it should not be, as I ate it in my car on the street because I live 35 mins away. I really wanted to love it here after my great customer service experience but unfortunately my experience with the pizza itself was not as great as everyone else's. If I ever happen to have it again (I go to Lewiston often), and have a better quality slice, I will update review but sadly it missed the mark for me.

I don't get to "Pisa Often." Which is a shame because I am leaning towards saying Italia is the…read moremost beautiful country on earth. But that would be cheesy and I might change my mind tomato morning. Then again, of crust, I may not. Someone in media told me Italia might become the official "world beauty capital" but I don't want to name my sauce. And I don't put salt on my Italian food btw, I put pepperonly. What to get: a slice of Pizza for around a dollar. Also if you're at a local Greek place, I recommend ordering your "Pita Open." But this place doesn't serve Open Pitas despite the name. It only serves one thing. And that is: alcohol to minors. Oh wait. That's the liquor store across the street. What I meant to say was: PIZZA. What we have here, ladies and gentlemen, is more delicious than ANYTHING you will ever eat in Pisa. As we know, someone that drinks as much water as I do... Pisa lot. But we also have exceptionally clean systems which allow our taste buds to properly savour and enjoy the exquisite tastes such as that of the cheapest and most yummylicious Pizza you will ever try in your life. What I am trying to tell you is... THIS MIGHT WELL BE THE BEST TASTING PIZZA IN THE WORLD. It is completely different from the doughy likes of Imperial and Mattina's and Franco's (prob the best 3 in the Buffalo area). It is nothing like the crisp enormous NYC slice. It is nowhere near the deep dish made famous by Shy-town. It's something all unto itself. St. Louis claims to own the "square slice" but their version has NOTHING on this. It's AMAZING. Niagara Falls is now officially (I have decreed it so) the owner of the square slice, and this little gemtastic gem is the heart and soul of what NF Pizza is. Ask ANYONE from NF and the chances are they will tell you that if you only ever have one slice in your life, have one of these. Surely the hype can't be matched by the product? Yes it f***ing well is. Trust me. So a slice is $1.25 and it's small, but it's so yummy that you won't care how small it is. And if that's an issue, just get 2 or 3 or 7 or 27 or 69. The bad news about this place is all about availability and there are several issues. (a) They close ALL SUMMER LONG because it's too hot inside, yet they still pay their employees for the duration. (b) They are ONLY open on Thu-Fri-Sat-maybe Sun (can't remember), which means for three days a week even in snowy season, you are SOL. And I don't mean a bright star warming up the Milky Way in Spanish. (c) They run out of pizzas, or are all booked up, so if you want a full pie you should call WAY in advance to place the order... but slices so far, for me, have been easier to come by as a walk in. (d) I don't think you can even walk in and order a full pizza anymore. They do keep tons of slices ready to go and they are nice and hot, so that is a bonus. And I paid for one, and they gave me two. How lovely is that? I know it's not in a great area but WHO CARES. This type of area needs your support more than fancy burbs anyway, and nothing's going to happen to you from stopping by here. This is America. It's not like anyone carries guns or anything. So yes, this is one of the best slices in WNY, possibly even #1, and it is one of the best in the world. Drive very fast (don't get a ticket) to Viagra Falls immediately, and purchase one of these. Get a Viola's Steak and Cheese too. You don't have to thank me. I am so glad that I have a new reason to visit the Viagra Falls. I used to not like it because it's full of horny old men, hence the name. But then as I said in another review, my friend Alice moved up there. So now I go fairly regularly to Cialis.
