So I've been here maybe 4 times in the past 5 years in st Pete. This morning just showed me that this place is just a hang out. They are not trying to make any customer feel important what so ever. They open at 9 am. I walked in with my son to get him a hair cut, the barber that was there was on the phone and no one in the shop AT ALL. He gets off the phone and says "I have someone coming in at 9:30" sits down and logs in the Netflix. Then says "there's another barber outside he can help you" then continues to scroll through Netflix. I waiting about 10 mins and decided to leave because if it was important to them to make money he would have made some effort. The barber that was outside he claimed could help was busy talking to I guess his girlfriend in a heated argument. I don't care how desperate I need to get my son a hair cut but I will never walk back into this place again. Very horrible customer service and very very horrible experiences all the way around. I don't recommend going here. Personally I miss the old days of going to a shop and waiting your turn. Ever since covid this whole make an appointment thing has turn these barbers into over rated tik tok wannabes. Be a barber and make money. read more

My son 16 wanted a fresh look before school started, this was his first time at good fellas. Barber Jeffrey with " crocks" overcharged my son and was in a rush to finish. Price came to $43with tip. Now I have a pissed off / upset off teen. Haircut looks goofy, length is uneven and not blended well. Jeff Didn't listen to him about what he wanted. Jeff said price is xtra because it's two hair cuts in one. I tried calling 3times before they closed, no answer and voicemail full. I moved to St. Pete about two years ago. One of the first things I looked for was a solid barbershop. Cant miss here. I've been getting a cut a month since I been here and never had a bad cut. I don't make appointments or ask for anyone in particular because they're all great. I see people complaining about the price, and it is a little expensive, but the price jump went up with inflation. This is a guys place. The barbers here are young and many of the clients are young. They cut hair in all the modern styles and they do it well. So naturally I was a little hesitant since I'm in my sixties. The vibe and energy is young and strong in this place but I was given a great haircut in my requested style quickly, easily and without stress. No worries. I had no appointment but got a chair in about 15 minutes. The place was slamming too. 4 out of 5 chairs working. But again, they work fast but with no stress. Mark is absolutely phenomenal, I have a difficult head of hair (cowlick's), and without fail he always delivers a masterful cut. When watching him and the other gentleman here cut hair you can see a sincere sense of enjoyment and concentration. This really sucks to write because I've been looking for a good barber shop in st. Pete, and I thought I finally found it. I've been here three times and the second time when Omar cut my hair, it was the best haircut that I've ever had in my life. But none of that can excuse the way that they treat their customers. I came in there on a slow Friday, there were three barbers. There was one person in front of me, and he started cutting his hair about 5 minutes after I got there. Two of The Barbers finished at about the same time and they both went out for a smoke break. Not just a smoke break but they even came in grab the soda and went back outside. They were out there for about 15 minutes, hanging out, eating, on the phone. Meanwhile back in the shop to more people are behind me. I waited there for 45 minutes before I decided I don't want to be treated like this and left. I walked right past them and they didn't say anything just watch me drive away as they continue to sit outside and smoke. They're very good barbers but I don't have the time to sit and wait for a haircut for all that time especially after a long day at work, without acknowledging that I've been patiently waiting all that time. I understand that it can be stressful and long hours, but that doesn't excuse treating their customers that way. If it's a laid back approach you want to take, that's cool, but at least be conscious of how you're making the customer feel. read more

Marcus was amazing, I brought my 5yr old son in to get a fade and it turned out great. We were here on Vacation and live in Missouri. Small town people don't know how to fade. No offense! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! I JUST left and will never go back! (9/24/16). I got there an hour before closing and there was one Barber there and he was already cutting someone's hair. I was the only other person there. After 15 minutes, someone else comes in and was sitting off to the side chatting with the Barber as he worked...... And I thought to myself.... "I know what's coming based on other reviews (google reviews) of this place"..... But I waited anyway and after he finished with his customer, sure enough, he told me that his friend had an appointment and I would have to wait until after his friend. This was TOTAL BS! Who makes an appointment at 7:30 on a Sunday night?! No one does, that's who!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS PLACE! Go to Sami's a few blocks down 4th. He takes no "appointments" and gives EXCELLENT customer service and is the best Barber I've ever gone to! (He actually stayed late to cut my hair before.) This was one of the few barbershops open on Sunday. I messed up my hair trying to give myself a fade and needed it fixed before the work week. The only person there was a woman, and later a man showed up. After my experience at Tim's (all women barbers) and my mom, seeing a woman barber kind of raised up a red flag based on my previous experiences. Not in a sexist sense (I do NOT care about a "male atmosphere"), but more along the lines of: did I come to the right place? Because I really want my edges done and a proper fade. I was pleasantly surprised. I gave minimal details of what I want: correct my botch fade and my hairline edges. After disappointing experiences, you lower your expectations and requests naturally. After maybe 30 minutes of work, felt even longer, with lots of attention to detail, I finally got to see what it looked like and wow! My hair/head doesn't feel worthless anymore and I am totally going to get my haircut more often now that I know how nice it can look! There's no reason not to give them 5 stars, but I'll adjust my rating as I visit other barbers in the area. It's safe to say you can come here for quality results though. read more
