Good good, great service but they added a cash grab disguised as a 2% carbon tax... 100% illegal don't fall for this scam. Unfortunately the servers pay the price with a reduced tip shame on you Goodfellas

2 days opened! Stopped in for some takeout. I've now been to almost all of the locations so I feel like me chiming in on the consistency across the franchise might bring value. I do feel like the manager/owners do hold the same sort of persona, which is good. The decor/layout was well done in this one, as all locations I've visited thus far have. Food--found some of the dishes to be lackluster this time but it was the end of the night/last call. Grazie.

Bufalina pizza, tagliatelle al Bosco, filetti di Spigola

Our first time trying this place after hearing about it and having pinned it as a place to try and it did not disappoint. The pizza is very authentic wood oven with great crust and flavor I would have liked mine 20 more seconds in the oven to char the tomatoes a bit more and cook the sauce down. I had the mushroom truffle pasta in mind which was no longer on the menu but ended up trying the tagliatelle al Bosco which had a nice beet flavor needs a bit more truffle oil but good as it was something different. Once I added the spicy olive oil and some more cheese on it, it was balanced layers of flavor. We also had the spigola fish which was nicely seared with veggies. It could use a bit more salt and garlic and maybe a few slices of peppers or asparagus but still nice piece of fish that's just my suggestion or preference for a better flavor profile. We also tried the bombolone and had a second one it was really good with a lemon filling so light and just delicious. All and all good night out, glad we tried this place and will put it on our list of places to return. Btw the cab sauv was really good, next time getting a bottle , the service was also great, friendly, fast service and I'd prefer to sit in the section with the red chairs next time, lol. Thank you Sabrina.

Good Italian, restaurant the pizza was great! And the atmosphere aswell. I ordered the Bufalina pizza and the salumi appetizer. They both tasted great and we had a great time as a family and the restaurant really made you feel like you belonged there.

They had a number of pizzas to choose from, but I went with one that had some kind of meat and hot banana peppers on top. (There are no signs or labels telling you what you're getting, which seems like a weird choice.) After a few minutes in the oven, my pizza was ready to eat. I didn't realize until it was right in front of me that it didn't have any cheese, which meant that it was a seriously dry slice of 'za. Some dipping sauce or hot oil might've helped but nothing of the sort was available. Despite these issues, I basically enjoyed this concoction. The bready crust is pretty tasty and the hot sliced meat on top was delicious. Would I ever want to eat this again? Probably not, but I wasn't upset that I ordered it. In the future, I think I'll just stick with regular, conventional pizza. But in fairness, my dining companion was over the moon eating this stuff, so your mileage may vary.

It's a brilliant concept for anyone looking to sample a variety of flavours without feeling too stuffed. Among their offerings, the mushroom pizza stood out as a clear winner for me -- highly recommend giving it a try! Overall, the dough is light and sauce and toppings are flavourful. The shop is pleasantly spacious, offering a few tables for those who prefer to dine in, although it seems the majority opt for takeout. Service is quick, attentive, and cheerful. They also carry a variety of Brio flavours, for those looking to wash down their slices with something equally delightful.

He's in his twilight years of working so these days he mostly spends his time making his own red wine from scratch, hunting turkeys, and growing vegetables in his garden. He clears the vibe check. I'm yapping now, but all this to say he picked Il Gatto E La Volpe for dinner so I knew this food was gonna SMACK. We started with margherita pizzas for the table, arrancini, calamari, and a couple bottles of red wine picked by Uncle Dan. My Mom got the gnocchi bolognese, which I knew I would get 80% of as she eats like a mouse, so I went with the Florentine steak. I hate to be corny and say "everything was sensational," but everything was sensational so Imma leave it at that. My favorites were the gnocchi bolognese and arrancini though, as I had never seen gnocchi bolognese on a menu. It honestly should be a more common dish. I'm making a prediction that by 2029, gnocchi bolognese will be a standard item on all Italian menus. Service was great, vibes were up, and this was just a great place to enjoy some much needed family time over some red wine. These haters got me stressed. SHOUTOUT TO UNCLE DAN! I rarely talk about service, but I was so impressed with her. Wish I knew her name so I can give her a better shout out! Ambiance was inviting and bright. The restaurant is spacious and well-lit. This rating is based on a casual dining restaurant experience…read more 3 of us came in for dinner on a Thursday night. I made the reservation in advance and wasn't sure what to expect. The place has been here for years but this was my first visit. It's located in a plaza on the south side of Hwy 7 so there's private parking. As you come in, there's the bar and the entrances to both the main and private party dining rooms. We were quickly greeted and given our choice of seating in either room, as the private party room had only a small birthday party in a little section. We could enjoy a colder temperature in the private room, or average room temperature in the main room where it would be less noisy. We chose the main room and it wasn't uncomfortable. Our host provided our menus and gave a choice of bottled, mineral, or tap water. Tap water in stemmed glasses with ice was fine with us. To my surprise, it came with a full basket of complimentary bread, butter and spicy oil. I have not seen this for years and we appreciated it. We ordered a rice balls (4 pcs) appetizer which came with marinara. They were a good size and had some cheese pull. Our entrees were a Ricky pizza (one of their 20 specialty pizzas); chicken parmigiana; and home made pappardelle with chicken and pesto cream sauce. Our orders were served within a few minutes of each other, all huge, and piping hot. We were offered additional grated cheese tableside. Besides our host, the owner (I assume) came round to serve my husband's Montecristo cocktail and wish him a happy birthday. He continued to check in along the way as well. This restaurant reminds me of being in Calabria at eateries just like this, meaning, the Italian equivalent of the British neighbourhood pub experience. There are families with children who may roam, groups of ladies getting together for a meal, singles having their pizza and beer after work, all in a space that somehow makes you aware of being connected in your mealtime. The food is what you may remember enjoying as a kid at your Italian friend's house: nonna's home made everything, from the bread and oil to the pasta and tomato sauce. It's not fancy, it's plentiful and hearty home food. The tomato sauce is fresh, exactly what all my family produces from their own jarred tomatoes. My chicken was cooked through without being dry. The pizza was nicely crisp and charred, straight from their wood oven. The pesto cream pappardelle was delicious, with plentiful pieces of grilled chicken. Both my daughter and I had half our meals left to enjoy later. You can order half portions for half the price. My husband managed to devour his whole pizza. He even ate the crust - which he never does. We didn't order wine or dessert as that was waiting at home. I didn't think to check if they offer any prosecco besides the basic wine list but their website is very well done, so I will look again, because I would definitely return. It will be like being back in my family town in Italy.

I decided to look at the menu, saw the lobster roll, and knew that I needed to order it. I love lobster rolls. I see it on a menu and I must order it. No thought required. Done! There are three COAST locations, all ghost kitchens, in the GTA. One is in downtown Toronto. Another is at the Firkin that I used to frequent at Yonge and Eglinton. The one is Vaughan is the latest addition, which is where I went last night. I placed my order through Uber Eats for pickup: - PEI lobster roll with COAST salad - Crispy COAST shrimp - Crème brûlée cheesecake - Superbowl Sunday special (free COAST fries when your order is $40 or more) The downside is that I got a general location as to where to go to pick up my food. I got to the plaza with Nations grocery store anchoring it. Where do I go next? Well, my prayers were answered when a nice person from COAST called me and said that my order was ready. He let me know that COAST is in The Moose, which is a Firkin pub. Yes, direction! I thanked him and parked closer to the pub. The Moose looks new and modern. It has patio heaters and is open for dining in, as is many eateries in York region now. I was greeted by a nice man. He asked for my order number. I showed it on my phone and he went to fetch my order. I saw this white paper bag with handles on the bar counter. He thanked me and handed it to me. I reciprocated. I could smell the fries through my mask. I was so excited and I headed over to my car. I got home and had dinner. I bought more than I could down, so I have leftovers today that I look forward to having I had a container full of salad. The PEI lobster roll was camouflaged by it. You can choose fries or salad as your side. Considering that I was going for free COAST fries, I settled for salad. I loved how much salad I got. The veggies were crisp and fresh. All I heard was my crunching on them. The salad dressing had balsamic vinegar, but it was subtle and didn't have a ton of sugar. I liked it a lot. My lobster roll was good. The lobster had generous chunks of real lobster in aioli, with chives and seasoning. Yum! The downside was the bun. The brioche bun needed to be softer and perhaps grilled more with butter. It would have made the experience nicer. It was a smaller roll than I had hoped for $20, but I had so much food that it was minor. What surprised me the most were the crispy COAST shrimp. They were super crispy. They had a bit of spice. The baby arugula balanced out the spiciness. I thoroughly enjoyed how crispy the whisper-thin batter coating each shrimp was. Perfection! I got the COAST fries on the house. The fries tasted so homemade, as if I had cut the fries myself, and someone did a better job at deep-frying them. It had Grana Padano cheese that I had never had. It tasted like parmesan, but milder. I loved it with the spicy aioli and chives. I love chives so much. I normally don't enjoy eating fries as a side, but I could do these any day. I have been good lately by not going overboard with desserts. However, I couldn't resist getting the crème brûlée cheesecake. Sadly, my slice got tossed around a tad in the container, so the pointy part of the slice was smashed. However, I ate it all, even with the whipped cream puddle next to it. I enjoyed this cheesecake slice a lot. It wasn't terribly sweet. The berry coulis on top provided a nice tartness and contrast. The crust was thin. The cheesecake was creamy and you could taste the beautiful crème brûlée flavour in each bite. It's a winner! I am eyeing the PEI lobster poutine, and COAST surf and turf burger next. I had a great experience. Prices do run steep, but it's worth treating yourself to fresh seafood and ingredients. (114)
