Its so good!!! I will definitely come back. The service was great too. And the owner is friendly!!

Spizzico has a very lovely interior design, we ordered a calamari appetizer, it was not as fresh as I would have liked, perhaps it was the quality of the fish. However, the pizzas were very good. The crust was airy and at a more reasonable price . My pizza had mozzarella, fresh cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, arugula and fresh parmigiano shaved on top for $15. The menu could offer more to choose from, and be more daring with their pizza ingredients. Overall, thumbs up!

Been back a few times and I have to reduce my 4 stars to 3. Last couple of dishes over the last few visits have been average at best. The stuffed gnocchi in a rose sauce was gummy and grainy. The mushroom risotto was dry and a bit bland. The margherita is still stellar but I'm wondering what happened here. Is this a run of bad luck or is Service degrading? YMMV here. But give it a chance:

    Buffalo mozzarella pizza. Nice chew.

Girls night out tonight with my kid so we decided to make the drive to have what we hoped would be good burrata. This is a beautiful restaurant. There was a function on tonight with the restaurant packed on one side and very few tables filled on the other side. Perhaps because of the function the device was good, but not as good as I was expecting given prices. A couple of misses during the night. The food? 5/5. We had: Italian burrata appetizer: amazing. Will go back it again. Ricotta gnocchi: perfectly plump pillows of deliciousness. Buffalo mozzarella pizza. Perhaps too much oregano for some in the sauce. Had perfect chew. We passed on dessert, although the homemade options sounded inviting.

Spizzico Ristorante is hidden in the heart of Woodbridge. Walking into the restaurant there was quite the buzz between people talking, waiters running back and forth with their food and drink orders. Good selection of food on their menu. Known for their homemade gnocchi. We decided to order their special "seafood gnocchi in a rosa sauce". As we waited for our meal to arrive my mouth watered at all the dishes that past by our table. The gnocchi was delicious with lots of shrimp and calamari. Would definitely go back again. Service was good and the restaurant had a nice ambiance.

Poor service, very noisy environment, bland food, very expensive. I've been to many Italian restaurants in the area and this is sub par.

Sachi went with the stuffed gnocchi filled with ricotta cheese, I tried a bite and they were like little pillows covered in a rose sauce.

An Unforgettable Evening at Zafferano Ristorante…read more Last night, we had the pleasure of celebrating two of our family members at Zafferano Ristorante. Although we're not from Toronto and had never been to this restaurant before, our friends had booked a large section of the venue for over 30 guests--so we really didn't know what to expect. What followed was nothing short of amazing. We started the evening with some beautifully crafted cocktails. The drinks were delicious, and our waiter was quick to offer creative twists on our usual favourites--setting the tone for the night ahead. When it came time to sit down for dinner, the experience only got better. They kept bringing out plate after plate until we could barely move! The food was phenomenal: every dish was full of flavour, perfectly served at the right temperature, and visually stunning. A special shoutout to our waiter, Alex. He was outstanding--attentive without being intrusive, always ensuring our glasses were full and that every new course arrived with perfect timing. It was an incredible night and the perfect way to kick off our vacation. We left with full stomachs, happy hearts, and memories we'll talk about for a long time.

The meal kicked off with some nice warm, bread that was crusty on the outside and moist on the inside. We shared a few appetizers including Burratina, Gnocco Frito, and Margharita Pizza. The pizza had a nice mildly spicy sauce which made for a very delicious pizza. The Gnocco was fried pizza dough balls with garlic, Parmesan and a drizzle of honey. It normally comes with Prosciutto but we ordered it without to make it vegetarian. The mix of flavours was really unique and delicious. The Burrata was good but the other two appetizers stood out more. For entrees, we had the Spaghetti Genovese and the Stuffed Gnocchi. Both were excellent. Highly recommend this place.

They originally seated us in front of their kitchen area and there was a whole bunch of fruit flies that were flying around our heads and stationed at the booth seats - this was pretty gross and we all immediately got up from our seats and requested for a new one. This was quite shocking because of the vast amount of the fruitflies there were. Luckily - the spot we moved to sit afterwards didn't have any of those annoying pests bothering us during our meal. Now onto the meal itself, it was delicious with some hit or miss dishes for sure. Server was good but at times, things came out slow and we couldn't find our server. Here's what we got: Wood Oven Roasted Olives 5/5 Cavolfiore 5/5 - Fried buffalo cauliflower Frittura Di Pesce 5/5 - Loved this! Fried shrimp and calamari, it was so good and delicious. Burrata 5/5 - Creamy burrata with heirloom tomatoes. Loved this - it was refreshing and creamy all at the same time. Chicken Parm 4/5 - Big piece of fried chicken smothered in the tomato sauce. Was good. Penne Vodka 4/5 Spaghetti Carbonara 3.5/5 Funghi Pizza 3.5/5 Nduja 4/5 Nutella Pizza 5/5 - Loved this as a finisher. This was so good with the nutella spread on the pizza dough. Overall, a good Italian spot to check out with some dishes being a lot more delicious than others.

He's in his twilight years of working so these days he mostly spends his time making his own red wine from scratch, hunting turkeys, and growing vegetables in his garden. He clears the vibe check. I'm yapping now, but all this to say he picked Il Gatto E La Volpe for dinner so I knew this food was gonna SMACK. We started with margherita pizzas for the table, arrancini, calamari, and a couple bottles of red wine picked by Uncle Dan. My Mom got the gnocchi bolognese, which I knew I would get 80% of as she eats like a mouse, so I went with the Florentine steak. I hate to be corny and say "everything was sensational," but everything was sensational so Imma leave it at that. My favorites were the gnocchi bolognese and arrancini though, as I had never seen gnocchi bolognese on a menu. It honestly should be a more common dish. I'm making a prediction that by 2029, gnocchi bolognese will be a standard item on all Italian menus. Service was great, vibes were up, and this was just a great place to enjoy some much needed family time over some red wine. These haters got me stressed. SHOUTOUT TO UNCLE DAN! She went above and beyond to make our group and event feel special. She thoughtfully brought us sharing plates, swapped our dirty plates for new ones, promptly refilled our water glasses, brought us additional utensils and napkins -- all unprompted! I rarely talk about service, but I was so impressed with her. Wish I knew her name so I can give her a better shout out! Ambiance was inviting and bright. The restaurant is spacious and well-lit. All in all, excellent food and service. Definitely recommend.
