Poor service. Ordered product on Amazon beginning of December to be delivered as a Christmas gift. Amazon noted 8 days after I ordered that the company has not confirmed that they will send the order and if they could not confirm my order would be cancelled on the 15. I attempted to contact this company twice and NO RESPONSE. Now Amazon cancelled the order because Goodies from Goodman would not respond to them. I am scrambling to replace the gift which now will not arrive by Christmas! Doesn't matter what the quality of the product is if the service is extremely poor and in this case they have highly disappointed. read more

Someone sent me flowers on December 29. Goodies from Goodman delivered the flowers to my complex's office and never left any note informing me that they had been delivered. Two days ago, January 7, someone from their store called me in a very accusatory tone telling me that flowers had been delivered and that the sender was wondering why I never got them. I said I had no idea to even be expecting flowers, and that I never got a delivery notice. He said that they would be sending them again, but he sounded annoyed about it. Today, January 9, the flowers came to my door, and I was home this time. The guy delivering them hadn't even carried them up (I live on the third floor) because I guess he wasn't expecting me to be there (a little snarky if you ask me). When I opened the door, he seemed annoyed and asked me to sign for them (no flowers in sight yet). He gave me a long lecture on how I should have checked the office. Again, I explained that I HAD NO CLUE that I was even GETTING flowers!!! He went downstairs to get the new vase and returned accompanied by a lady who was carrying the vase of old, dead flowers (which had apparently been in my complex's office since December 29, making it partially their fault for being lazy asses and not bringing them over or at least notifying me). Both the man and the woman were very accusatory (in that falsely civilized sort of way that's just soooo irritating!!!) and made me feel like I was inconveniencing them by making them re-deliver flowers that had already been delivered. Also, bringing me the dead flowers seemed sorta like rubbing it in my face. What am I going to do with dead flowers? I only want the fresh ones, thanks. Now I have to go trek over to the dumpster and throw these dead ones out. I don't enjoy having to explain myself -- multiple times! -- for something that's not my fault. Takes all the fun out of getting flowers. They are pretty, though, so 2 stars for that. Their employees (and perhaps owner/manager -- I think that's who called me) just need to work on being truly gracious to their customers instead of acting annoyed. I work for a large distributor, and we send flowers out almost weekly to our retailers for various reasons-hospitialization, new babies, deaths etc. So I have alot of experience sending flowers, and have used another floral service for the past 3 years. I needed a gift basket, something my usual shop doesnt carry so decided to try our rarely used house account at Goodies from Goodman. They had a great variety of stuff on the website including gift baskets and beautiful flowers. I ordered a gift basket for a retailer expecting it be there sometime in the next 24-48 hours (as it said on thier email) and it was there not even 4 hours after I ordered it! The recipient called and said everything looked great and the apples were huge! Website was a breeze to use, even with a house account, and they huge selection should be the only con-you'll want to spend alot of time looking at EVERYTHING! Called and was walked through their online inventory by a very helpful "Stephanie" who guided me to exactly what I wanted, processed my order, and had it prepared and ready for me to pick up at their showroom not more than 40 mins later. It was my first time at the Goodies from Goodman storefront. It's mostly a showroom where sample gift boxes and baskets are displayed. But the people there are very welcoming and helpful. Mr. Chuck Goodman personally helped me out every step of the way. He showed me different packages and various contents. There are so many to choose from, like gift boxes, tin canisters, and gift baskets. I like the assortments of food items, like pecans, pretzels, chips, chocolates, and many more. I mentioned that I wanted a Texas themed package. Chuck quickly pointed out a few options on display. And with the price range in mind we selected the perfect gift. He had someone prepare and package the items. I was expecting a simple gift box with a nice bow, but they went above and beyond and placed it in a nice gift bag. I am very impressed with this company! We ordered a Smoked Turkey and fruit basket to be delivered to my mother-in-law's family after her death. We knew they were anticipating a lot of visitors and felt that food would be more practical than flowers. The order was placed on-line at about 10:00 pm on Tuesday night. The gift arrived around lunch the following day...not even 24 hrs. later. The family really appreciated it and the smooth delivery during such a difficult time made it even better. Guess who won't be ordering gift baskets from anywhere else but "Goodies from Goodman?" Me! I am inclined to stop my day and write this review immediately. I just finished speaking with Mr. Chuck Goodman to investigate an order I placed a couple of weeks ago that didn't reach it's destination. Within 10 minutes of my initial inquiry to GfG, Mr. Goodman returned my call personally. He explained the error with the delivery tracked to an incorrect suite number that was completely our fault. Without being asked, Mr. Goodman offered to not only replace the gift, but promised he would have it shipped out to be delivered by FedEX tomorrow. Before calling me, he had already contacted the recipient to learn what went wrong with the delivery. I shared with Mr. Goodman, and I will share here that this is a prime example of the importance of family owned businesses and small businesses in our communities. The stellar personal attention he offered was phenomenal and it made me feel much appreciated as a customer. This may have been my first time ordering from GfG, but I can guarantee that it will not be my last! I am a customer for life! I have received gift baskets from Goodies from Goodman for years but this year I received an unidentifable fruit that was absolutely rotten. I think it might have been an orange in another life. It was hidden under the other fruit so I didn't find it (although I could smell it since I got the basket) until I moved some stuff today. I would attach pictures but there is no source for this. I would have preferred to address this in a more private manner but their website is all about sales and there is no outlet for customer service that I could find, except connections to public forums. Moral of this story - if you smell something that doesn't seem right you should dig then and there! Oh, and the dried powder off the ruined fruit set off a huge allergy attack, which accounts in part for this snarky review. read more

Goodies from Goodman's retail store is one of my favorite places to get gifts for co-workers, bosses, friends, my mom, anyone who enjoys yummy treats, wine or just fun food. Goodies from Goodman not only creates their own tasty treats like mini chocolate-covered oreos, peanut butter-filled pretzel nuggets, their own trail mix, caramel popcorn, chocolate-chip cookies, chocolate-covered bing cherries, etc, but they go across the country and sample new flavors & bring them back to the store. Last time I was in they were sampling caramels from Seattle & gourmet chocolates from California. Goodies from Goodman was also the first place I tried Tea Forte (years ago). They also have a great selection of wine & also do wine tastings that are free from 2:00 - 5:00 pm on Saturdays. They will also have samples of their newest & oldest treats too, so it is a good time to see what you like. Goodies also delivers flowers, gift baskets & caters. My old company used to use their catering & it is very unique (and tasty). Ok, enough rambling. I ordered a basket for my Stepfather and the delivery was going to his place of business scheduled for Dec 26. The BEST experience and business done the old fashioned way! Wiith complete care and concern for my needs..... I was in Dallas- Fort Worth last week for an aviation convention and was desperately looking for a reputable company to create a tastefully done and massive TEXAS BIG gift basket for a client of mine. I found a couple places in FW but they had bad reviews. I had to drive to Dallas anyway, so I searched Dallas. The reviews were excellent for Goodmans Goodies, so I showed up unannounced and desperate on my way to meet with my client at about 8:30 AM. The showroom had wonderful displays of baskets offered. I was greeted by the OWNERS Jan and Chuck Goodman and Chuck quickly ran back and personally made me a BEAUTIFUL basket with tons of tasteful and tastefully arranged goodies and gifts! He had it done in about 7 minutes flat!!! I ended up talking with Jan and Chuck for about 40 minutes and they really care as owners on site. I can't say enough about how wonderfully I was treated and cared for as a client. I am from Colorado and now have their Brochure so that I can continue shopping from them and simply have baskets delivered anywhere I desire! Thank you Jan and Chuck for being so friendly AND so helpful in my time of need. I have had the absolute pleasure of using Goodies from Goodman for years, and I have to say - their customer service, quality of product, and value of price paid is consistently off the charts. I send something from Goodies to someone each month, and every time I hear from the recipient "it is so big", or "it is so pretty", or "the snacks/fruit are delicious!", etc. Chuck and Jan are just good ol' home folks with their customer's happiness as their number 1 goal, and it shows - time after time. Be careful going here close to Christmas, for the past 4 years I have bought client gifts here and every year if you go within a week of Christmas, the only gifts they have for sale from the showroom are the more expensive baskets, the sales person promots you to spend more than you intended to spend because they are not able to put together one of the less expense baskets, but they have plenty of people and product available to put together the $70 baskets, then when you go to check out they inform you that you will be paying an extra $5 for tax on this basket due to the small package of candy included in this gift. In the showroom they represent a basket with a huge red ribbon and bow with metallic gold writing on it, I bought 6 of these gifts, all put in my car in boxes, when you get home and open box, you are miserably disappointed by the gift being wrapped in a cheap, thin, red ribbon and bow with no gold metallic writing on it, these gifts are not worth the $75 they conned me into buying and if I did not live 45 miles away from the showroom I would take this crap back and demand a refund.
