Shumway dental is family owned. I trust them. The only reason I'm giving less than five stars is due to one person in the front office. She is blond with glasses. She's super rude to people. They talked me into a procedure that I was really against because I knew it would be expensive. They gave me a quote and I reluctantly agreed. A few weeks after the procedure, I get a bill for over twice the amount that was quoted. After quite a few phone calls back and for, they had decided to take care of the extra charges. I thought that would be the last i heard from this place. Nope. I have not heard from them in months until this week. I just received a bill in the mail from them for unknown charges, with interest. I have not had service from this place in probably 9 months. Where did these new charges come from? This is my biggest complaint about this business, their billing department.

Before my appointment, I called the office and spoke with Katelin, who immediately put me at ease. She patiently answered my questions and walked me through what to expect, which helped me feel much more comfortable going into my visit. When I arrived, everyone was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely kind. As an added bonus, the office itself is beautiful, modern, and exceptionally clean. I was called back right at my appointment time, and the x-rays were completed quickly and efficiently. Throughout my cleaning, Katelin went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, even offering me a blanket. She explained everything she was doing, showed me all of my imaging, and took the time to answer my questions. Her gentle approach made the experience far less stressful than I ever imagined, and my teeth feel absolutely brand new! At the end of my appointment, Dr. Bringhurst came in to review my exam and discuss healthy habits. I was incredibly impressed by his knowledge of the latest research and advancements in dentistry. He took the time to explain newer approaches to cavity treatment and prevention, and I appreciated that his recommendations were clearly guided by evidence-based research.
