Dr. Goodman and the three physicians we have seen over the years all have had GREAT bedside manner: They let you know they care and are invested in our well-being. Dr. Goodman himself always takes the time to check-in with us. Everything always goes smoothly: We NEVER have to wait more than a minute or two. They never rush. They always take their time to explain everything. This NOT a clinic-like operation where they shuttle people in and out as quickly as possible. The entire staff, which is substantial, are very well trained, cordial and respectful of their patients' needs and time/schedules. BTW, please be on time, as they are counting on it so they can manage their patient load, which is substantial. They are always ready for us, but NOT because they do not have many patients. They are always ready for us because they manage the operation so well. Several convenient locations. My wife and I have been extremely pleased patients for many years of six-month checkups (as is obvious from this recommendation). I am a retired Delta pilot (lots of UV in the cockpit) and we both have a long history of a lot of time on the tennis courts and in ornamental gardening, beginning in the 1970s before we realized the need for sun protection. If you are reading this then it is likely you are aware for the need for regular checkups. Skin cancer CAN turn deadly, but if you get it early, they have painless, efficient and inexpensive solutions. Good luck. read more

East Cobb!! So excited Dr Goodman is there! I already had a dermatologist when we met, but that day i needed an emergency appointment. When I called my dermatologist, they could not squeeze me in for a month! I called Dr. Goodman late in the day and was able to see him the next day. My appointment was after lunch, and Dr. Goodman himself greeted me before his staff even returned from lunch. He made me feel as if I had known him forever and very welcome. The wait time was extremely short (about 10 minutes) and I was taken back to the exam room. Dr. Goodman came in almost immediately. He was compassionate, caring, and concerned during the exam, and I could tell that he really knew about dermatology. Having lived all over the country and using some of the finest dermatologists, I was impressed. He took the time to answer all of my questions and I never felt rushed. I will never go back to my old dermatologist again. Dr. Goodman has truly found a new patient. If you are looking for a wonderful dermatologist, I highly recommend him. Wish I could have him as a primary care physician too because it is difficult to find someone who spends the time with you and is so caring and thoughtful. I've been a long-time patient at Goodman Dermatology, but I recently had a very disappointing experience where I will not be returning. Upon checking in the morning, I declined to fill-out their bi-annual office questionnaire. After getting called back and to my surprise Dr. Goodman himself entered may private room and asked me to complete the office's questionnaire, I politely declined, explaining that I didn't believe it was medically necessary. Rather than respecting my choice, Dr. Goodman took offense, insisting that my refusal was disrespectful to him personally. I calmly reiterated that it was simply a questionnaire I preferred not to complete. He then raised his voice, repeatedly accusing me of being disrespectful and even stating, "I can make you do anything" since it was his practice. I remained polite throughout the encounter and still declined, but his rude behavior made me extremely uncomfortable--especially given that I was about to undergo a medical procedure with another doctor and assistant present in the room. What kind of a narcissist (doctor) cares more about his office survey getting completed than how his patients are feeling prior to having skin cancer removed? Hard pass on Marcus Goodman. read more

I have been a patient at Goodman Dermatology for over 7 years now. While I have seen a tremendous growth at the practice, Dr. Goodman has never lost sight of what made his practice such a success in the early days. He has stayed true to those principles. The staff from check-in to check-out is top notch. Very courteous and professional. The doctors and their assistants are all very professional and they do everything possible to make you feel comfortable during your visit. This practice in general is great, but I want to specifically highlight the care I received from Dr. Louis. She never makes you feel rushed or silly for the questions you ask, and is very intentional to address every single concern you bring up. As a black woman, it has been SO helpful to see a dermatologist who specifically knows how to work with black skin. She helped me clear up my eczema , manage my acne, and address hyperpigmentation. She also was able to help me restore my edges after taking out some tight braids. I would honestly be confident with any dermatologist that I see at this practice, but if you can get an appointment with Dr. Louis you will be in great hands. read more

Raquel Ludwig PA, was phenomenal I had her years prior for a major condition. And was pleased to see her again. I came to this location for the first time as my Woodstock location I usually visit was closed and needed to be seen immediately. They offer 4 separate convenient locations. The staff is friendly, competent and professional. I really appreciate GOODMAN DERMATOLOGY they have been instrumental in my dermatology needs, I am extremely pleased with all the staff. I saw Dr. Dionne Louis and she was absolutely AMAZING! She was so patient and so thorough in her explanation of various treatment options. Dude...this place rocks! Dermatologist appointments kinda blow...especially if you're self conscious of your skin BUT they make you feel so comfortable! They are very sweet and welcoming and they talk you through all the procedures. Wonderful experience! Friendly staff, medical professionals worked FAST but would listen to questions and explain things. As a cash payer they kept that in mind and outlined optional (cosmetic) procedures that were not needed or could be deferred.
