It overlooks the river in downtown Stillwater. There is a coffee shop attached to the bookstore. It's smallish in size, but seems to place an emphasis on quality vs quantity. It is a women owned store. Downtown Stillwater is quaint, and an afternoon strolling the shops, including this one, would be lovely. There is a small parking lot.

Plus, there are several dining options near by that I love (I am looking at you, San Pedro cafe). The back of the store has a vintage area with ample non-bookish gifts. I found the book selection extremely small, and this wouldn't be my first stop if seeking a new book to read. Further, the organization of the shelved books felt wild with genres seemingly mixed. The staff were pleasant and helpful; and I, also, appreciated the parking in front of the store.

Lots of parking space, clean inside with plenty of space in between isles to walk around and the cafe, as always is a plus. Nice seating area to soak up the sun shine while enjoying a good book with your favorite beverage. Have been to this location many a times and never had any issues with customer service or finding what I was looking for. If they don't have it in stock, they assist you in ordering and get it shipped directly to your home or at the store. There is always a friendly associate available to help you out.

Totally my jam! I spent way more time here than I planned just browsing (no regrets!). I had to take advantage of the $5 monthly book if you buy an item from the cafe. The staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. The gal at the counter informed me of the rewards program and signed me up. When you walk in it's jammed back with books, which is amazing to see. We only had time to browse the main room but I seen signs mentioning that there was more on the other floors. It is an eclectic mix of over 100,000 books on every genre from books to comics to magazines. It was nostalgic to see a complete collection of Nancy Drew books, a series I read as a child. They also had a large area devoted to comics in the front of the store. If you seek used or rare books, this is the top choice to come in the area. The door is locked and you need staff to let you inside the store. There is a shared parking lot behind the store, which was very much appreciated.

I was just browsing but I left with several books. The lady had her two dogs at work with her but they were calm and stayed behind the counter. There was no pet odor even though they look to be frequent visitors. The space is small but the selection in the areas I looked (sci-fi and horror) was strong. The space is very comfortable, and the staff were amazing. It is cozy and you can tell that the community here loves this store. The owners and staff are so friendly and welcoming and treat customers like friends and family! Their prices are pretty typical of other bookstores, but they also have bargain books/used books that are very reasonable priced! They have a great selection of genres and books for all ages as well. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a gentleman (I wish I'd gotten his name!) who immediately made us feel welcome. He was friendly, clearly passionate about books, and incredibly knowledgeable. He asked if it was our first time visiting, and when we said yes, he surprised us with an amazing gesture....a free book, each, tailored to our favorite genres. We were blown away by the generosity and thoughtfulness. The store itself is a treasure. Books galore, neatly organized by genre, and the place is not super larger, but makes you just want to look at it all. They also have a great selection of puzzles throughout. It's obvious that this place is loved -- both by the people who work there and those who visit. I purchased one book and I felt the price was reasonable. I can't wait to come back to Red Wing and when I do, I think another stop at this charming bookstore is on the list. Highly recommend to any fellow book lovers!
