Gimlet up, Margherita piza, risotto meatballs and Brussel sprouts
Irina G.

I'm a regular customer at this place. Drinks are superb. Gimlet up and lemon drops are one of the best I've had. Food is pretty good there as well. Risotto balls are delish. Staff is super friendly. Music could be a bit better. Overall, highly recommend.

Gracie's has a smooth, laid back vibe. The staff is personable and professional. Nice dj sounds. Great burgers, calamari and drinks. This is my go to bar in RO.

Bar nextdoor to D'Amatos Italian restaurant. Good service, and they serve food from D'Amatos. Feature live jazz duo from 6 to 9 on Thursdays, great music.

Arancini with risotto. Very filling. Only 8$ happy hour 4-6 pm on Saturdays as well!

Their food was fresh and flavorful. I took my sister here for her birthday dinner. Also enjoyed the crispy Brussels sprouts, my mother and sister loved them, and they are not fans of the sprout. Ended with Cavatapi, corkscrew pasta, I believe homemade. It was to die for. The wait staff was attentive and kind. Cocktails were with infused vodkas. Quaint spot, worth a stop in and try. Going back this Friday with my girlfriend. Going to try the fried cheese appetizer.

Strawberry Mule

It was my first time here, as soon as we sat down our bartender greeted us with a smile. We both got the Strawberry Moscow Mules and they were FABULOUS! The strawberry infused vodka is one of a kind, and they are served ice cold. Although we didn't try the food, I heard it is great as well. Would definitely return.

I uh,, I'm back in Royal Oak. And I'm in a bar, no way. And the freakish thing about it is that I'm actually having a good time. Yea, no painfully loud music. No DJ playing songs over played at 95.5. Just good drinks, good food and great company. It's sort of like the in between type of bar where you can get rowdy if you want to, or just sit, talk about stupid stuff you would normally talk about at work. Anyways, it's dimly lit inside so you're gonna wanna use your phone to light up the menu when you're trying to pick something to drink or eat. Food comes from the D'Amato restaurant next door, so if you've had food here. You've had food from next door as well. My friends ordered the pizza, their signature chicken and pasta dish and their penne in their house sauce. All those were hella delish. I enjoyed my night out here. Just your simple recipe fun,,, food, booze and friends. Weeeeee!

My friend had been to the Ann Arbor location but I had not been (it closed a few years ago) so we went here this weekend when she was in town. On Fridays, Gracie's and D'Amatos (sister business, attached to it) does half-off dinner for Ladies Night (for ladies only, obviously) and $5 Cosmos. We had already had dinner at Blaze down the street but we did the Cosmo's and then one other drink each. My friend got some sort of pineapple/mango/banana rum drink that was excellent and I made the mistake of thinking I like bourbon, and getting an Apple Pie drink with it - it tasted awful but did taste faintly of apple pie. I was hoping to get some jazz here but Fri/Sat they do more clubby/DJ type stuff. I would come back here if out and about in Royal Oak at night sometime.

Goodnite Gracie is a small dark lit martini bar attached to D'Amato's. They have seating at a long bar and some tables and chairs on the side. On the weekend they often have a dj. There's not much of a dance floor but there is a disco ball and a few people dance. It's more of a place to have a cocktail, listen to music, and hang out with friends than a dancing destination. I have come to Goodnite Gracie on a Saturday before and the dj played pretty good music, mostly hip hop/90s. I've been to Goodnite Gracie a couple times and it's always been enjoyable. Tuesdays-Saturdays they offer a happy hour from 4-7, which offers special prices for quite a few appetizers including burgers, brussel sprouts, crab cakes, etc. and select cocktails that are usually around $10 are $7 on special. They also offer a late night happy hour just on drinks from 10-12. I came on a Friday and tried a couple of their cocktails during happy hour. Do yourself a favor and order the Vixen or Chocolate Martini. They are both very good and you will not be disappointed. The Vixen is my favorite cocktail here, and is raspberry vodka, and melon, raspberry and pineapple liqueurs. It's my go-to cocktail whenever I come here. I also really enjoy their chocolate martini. Yum! It's like a boozy dessert in a glass! I'm not sure if this one is a happy hour special but I really enjoy it and I have had it here and at D'Amato's. When I recently came here I also tried the Sunburn, which has flavors of pineapple, banana and coconut, since it was a happy hour special. It was good but not half as good as the Vixen, and was a little too sweet for my taste. They also had a few flavored mules on special too. Their food was pretty good as well. I ordered the crab cakes and they were delicious, not too much filler and very flavorful. My friend got the arancini di riso and said it was also very good. They can get very busy during happy hour. There were very few places left to sit and people were squeezing in at the bar. After happy hour, I noticed they cleared out quite a bit. They also were not as crowded as most other bars in Royal Oak when I came here on a Saturday night when they had a dj. Seems like this is a place where people like to start their night. Overall Goodnite Gracie has a great atmosphere, and delicious cocktails, perfect to start your evening for a girls night out and is also a nice place to chat over cocktails for a date. I'll be back soon.

Walking in, there was very limited seating and about an hour wait, which clearly showed how popular this spot is. Thankfully, the hostess told us about their basement bar area where you can grab drinks and snacks while waiting. The downstairs area had such a cool speakeasy vibe dark ambiance, vinyl music playing, and honestly the perfect date night atmosphere. The drinks were REALLY good, and you can also order appetizers down there. Once we made it upstairs, we grabbed bar seating and talked to a few people around us who all said this was their favorite spot. Our bartender was amazing -- super attentive, explained the menu well, and gave great recommendations. We ordered the wings (perfectly seasoned and so good) and the chicken sandwich with buffalo added for a little spice... absolutely delicious. I also tried the pistachio martini, and wow definitely one of my favorite drinks I've had in a while. Overall, such a great experience from the atmosphere to the food and service. Parking was no problem as I was lucky to find metered parking just steps away from the front door. I walked in immediately taken with the charming decor and darkly lit romantic vibes, which is my favorite esthetic for any restaurant. The seating at the bar was yummy, thick comfy seats. The bartender greeted me warmly. He was cool and I hate that I didn't ask his name. He was attentive and masterful with the spirits. He asked if it was my first time, which it was, and since so, made me a tasty "welcome" drink with gin that was fantastic. I also ordered "the panty snatcher" a concoction of vodka, grapefruit, St Germain, rose water and orange. It was amazing. I will definitely be back for drinks. The drink menu is quite tempting. I had the Corn, Corn, Corn dish, which is polenta and corn kernels topped with popcorn. Yes, super unique and interesting. I had to try it. The popcorn was so light and flavorful straight out of the kitchen, but became chewy as it sat atop the piping hot polenta. I really enjoyed it however. Next time I'll eat all the popcorn first. I also had lobster dumplings, which was good but the dish wasn't cooked through. The filling wasn't hot and the pasta was very under on some bites. I was the first customer for the evening, so I can forgive that faux pas. I really enjoyed myself and I will return time and time again to try everything. The menu offers many things I love. Great concept. Cool vibes.

As we followed our greeter to our table I kept screaming in my mind "no no no no no not that table no!" and she sat us at a table in full blasting sun. Nevermind the fact that there was a whole shaded section in the back part of the patio area. The rest of my group said it was fine and a beam of sun slowly bore a hole through my chest. Drink orders were up. I ordered a fabulous cross between a Moscow Mule and a Mojito. A+++ for the drinks. Mine was loaded with fresh mint from their garden. Same grade for our waitress who explained the drinks in detail and ended with "ugh- are you sure you want to sit at this table straight in the sun?" The other two said it was fine. I was ready to move, but was out voted. She continued to check in regularly and brought extra water. Most items on the menu were hot. I considered the fish, but we all landed on appetizers and we would just bounce from place to place for bites and drinks. We ordered the charcuterie board and the lavender lemon whip with bread and cucumbers for the 3 of us. The charcuterie board was the large version and had minimal offerings. It wasn't full and pretty. It was little piles of each thing on a board. This one definitely wasn't making it into Better Homes and Gardens magazine. There was a little pile of mixed nuts, a little pile of lose green grapes, a little pile of lose red grapes - not all grapes pristine or large and none were on the vine. There were 3 little piles of cubed cheese and 2 types of sliced sausage and sliced pepperoni. There were 8 crackers that were wheat thin size. This matters because we had some onion jam on the board and a nice serving of mustard. There really wasn't anything to put them on except for the 8 little crackers. That part was weird. These weren't elevated offerings. I could have picked up any of these at Walmart. They were not elevated quality either. We also got a lavender lemon infused whip which was their answer to tzatziki sauce. It was excellent but again, we were given so much of the sauce without a bunch to put it on. The cucumbers were sliced lengthways and there was a lovely bread that tasted like sourdough. There was 6 pieces of bread, and these were not particularly large pieces. A lot more would have been needed to use all of the sauce they gave. The proportions were off. All together the bill was over $100 for the 3 drinks and appetizers. If I ever did go back I won't order food based on what I experienced. There are too many other great options within walking distance.

Just one burger option and limited toppings. Server was very nice but didn't write down the order, and when it came my burger was missing the cheese and onion. I wasn't sure if they would take it back or what so I didn't eat anymore and it took her a decent amount of time to come and check on us after we got our food. I let her know what was missing and she said it was her fault and asked if I wanted it fixed. I said yeah and she went and got a cold piece of cheese and slice of onion and put it on a plate and gave to me to put on my own burger. I'd expected a little bit better service and I'm certainly not someone who demands top tier service from every spot. Fries were crispy but needed some parm or an aioli sauce to dip in. Also minor note but I had some fries left on my plate and when she came to collect plates I had food in my mouth so I couldn't say anything but she took the plate and my fries! They should always ask if there's any food left on the plate. Burger was decent overall, but definitely nothing special. Environment was cool and I'm sure they have got some other delicious items on the menu but for the price paid and service received, I'd go somewhere else next time.
