Shift has a really cool vibe and excellent happy hour specials (5-7 on weeknights). They had live music on Wednesday night and food is 40% off and 50% off drinks. Our server Scott was a sweetheart and the food came out pretty quickly. He even made me a mocktail that wasn't on the menu with grapefruit juice, cranberry juice and soda. My favorite item was the filet tips- the quality of meat was so good and it was seasoned well. It came with some goat cheese, peppers and arugula. I will say that it was a rather small portion of food though- maybe 6-8 bites of meat. The lamb lollipops were good with the balsamic drizzle but I preferred the filet tips since they were leaner. We also got the beet salad, the vinaigrette was good but otherwise the salad was just ok. Edamame was standard. Veggie/hummus tray was fresh. Lettuce wraps were good but had a bit of a kick. You can park free for 2 hours in the lot accross the street. read more

This place is made for a couple cocktails. A large wrap around bar, surrounded by booths. They have live music which is a one many show in the corner. It was decent. Service was a little slow on getting those first drinks... My issue was two things. At least a few times, I heard people who work there saying how great everything is. How great the HH is. This was to the point where it made it feel artificial. Kind of like some of the reviews here. The prices here are not great. Clearly they are hoping you order something when it's not HH, as the regular food / prices are about as high as I've seen for what they offer. Not sure we'll be back. read more

Great happy hour at this place! There were 7 of us for a post- New Year welcome to an out of towner. Drinks and wine are can work on special with significant discounts from posted prices. A couple of us sampled a few of the mocktails, and while they weren't discounted,I was very pleased with my spicy strawberry which was really spicy in a good way! A friend had the cucumber and the watermelon and she preferred the cuke as she said it was too sweet for her taste. Most drank the 30% off wine, the Pinot Noir from Clark & Telephone got a thumbs up. If you're a beer snob (I am) there's no taps but there's M43 along with several more typical beers. We sampled a variety of their shareable appetizers which were 40% off during Happy Hour.(5-7 pm) The Ahi Tuna and King Pao chicken tacos were big hits, the mezza plate had some of the best gummed in town. I had the lettuce wraps were tasty but different from those at PF Chang's which to me are soaked in soy sauce. The brussels went fast, the only leftovers were a few of the edamame which only a few of us tried(not me). There's live music, not excessively loud but we all wished there were more places that would tone it down a bit. The music was pleasant enough, the guy played keyboard and guitar, but a few in the group use hearing aids which is always a challenge with any background noise. The waitstaff was very accommodating, even taking the time to split up the bill among the couples and singles so that's a plus. Looking at the website Tuesday is half off tacos and tequila. Came here to celebrate my birthday with a few friends. They have an incredible happy hour that is everyday 5p-7. It was decorated so cute and it was nice to get out and celebrate with my friends and have some time to myself. Love my family but it's so important to have an identity outside of our Kids and Partners!! Food was good drinks were really good and the service was good overall also. Vibes were cute! Live music (one man band, acoustic guitar) on a Tuesday night and tacos and tequila drinks were half off. Service was great, the staff was really really nice! Shrimp tacos were regularly $22 so with the discount it made it a normal price and honestly still wasn't worth it... the tortillas were cold and tasted like Gordon food service or something... not quality ingredients that is for sure. I didn't complain about the food because I didn't think it was worth it but I'm sure the staff would've been nice about it because they really were kind people. Happy Hour here, you have my heart. The food was to die for good, especially for the price - felt criminal! Truffle fries? A MUST. Good shareable size for ~3 people. Lamb chops were fall off the bone tasty (almost ordered 2 more servings). And the sweet and spicy shrimp was a favorite. I tried the espresso martini, so YUMMY!! Our server was the goat because he was moving with the swiftness as we kept ordering before HH ended. With the live music, the vibes are best suited for group occasions, but I can still see the romance vibes. Seriously would recommend this place without hesitation. Can't wait to come back! One of my favorite spots for happy hour, especially on weekends! They have 40% off food and everything was delicious. We ordered the seared ahi tuna, sweet and spicy shrimp, and lamb sliders and I'd recommend all of those! You can't go wrong with any of their cocktails. The bar gets crowded later in the night and sometimes has live music. The service is pretty good, only sometimes takes a minute to get served if they're really busy. read more

I don't know where to begin because everything is stellar at Shift! From the moment we walked in we felt like locals. Great live music playing for happy hour, people singing along and dancing in the corner of the bar. We were seated promptly and had drinks in our hands within minutes. The menu is outstanding. So good we came back the next night to try all the things we missed on Friday. I had the Garden Mule and Scott had My Best Life. Both were delicious but he got bonus points because his bubbled and smoked all the way to the end! (See pictures) I'm going to just tell you everything we got both days so buckle up! Started with Shift Fries, truffley parmesan crispy goodness! Short rib tacos melt in your mouth, perfectly spiced. The Filet Tips are oh so tender and yummy. Truffle Brussel Sprouts were crispy and full of flavor. Had to have the Beet Salad. Beautifully presented and so so good. But the best thing ever was the Pork Belly w potatoes. Absolutely mind blowing!! The staff is beyond great. Lance and John took such good care of us we were never in need of a thing. This place is a gem. Prices are reasonable and the portions are huge! I go to shift often and never have an issue, always a great time. However, on Saturday i had a completely different experience. My boyfriend , myself and a few others got a round , we paid instantly $120. We ordered a 2nd round ($180). With card visibly in hand, we stood there waiting for the bartender to collect payment . We waited and waited , after a point we gave up. My boyfriend returned the CC to the member in our party who asked us to order. We were not going to spend our whole night waiting for the bartender to return. As my boyfriend is leaving, he is chased outside by the bartender (short , white male with blonde hair) and security. Treated like a complete animal, In front of many . Once back inside , the $180 bill became $220 because gratuity was added. We never had a tab open, there was absolutely no reason for the bartender to walk away . Now all of sudden he realizes he screwed up and wants to cause a scene and publicyu embarrass us. I don't care how busy you are, close out YOUR transaction or let less people in. Then demanding a tip, is asinine. By no means, am I condoning not paying a tab but we TRIED! Management MUST contact me regarding this issue. This whole incident should be visible on security cameras . I will wait to be contacted, to see how this can be mitigated. read more

Many of the appetizers come in a set of 3, but you can add on 1 or two more if need be for your group! The color red margaritas are incredible and spicy! This is for the new Plymouth location (which isn't showing up for some reason). Let's get the obvious out-of-the-way - YES this place is extremely expensive, and whether you feel it's worth it or not is entirely up to your personal metric. But the food is excellent, the presentation just great, and the atmosphere is super chill - there is literally no other restaurant like this in Plymouth (or nearby). Wait staff was attentive (shout out to Holly!) and I would certainly go there again. Just be prepared to drop some cash. read more

Based on the reviews I'd read, and the happy hour specials, I was really excited to try this place. There are so many compelling items on the menu that I was already anticipating coming back to try more before I had even ordered. We sat at the bar, and ended up ordering the filet sliders, halibut tacos, and "truffle" fries. The filet sliders were ok, but I felt that the density of a stiff pretzel bun didn't compliment the meat's tenderness in any way, and the sliders were severely lacking in moisture/sauce. I would recommend a toasted brioche bun instead, served with a side of zip sauce, au jus, or similar. The halibut tacos (recommended by waiter) actually made me want to gag. Each was essentially a large chunk of the fishiest halibut meat I've ever tasted, loosely thrown into a cold flour tortilla with some bbq sauce and pineapple pieces - these need serious help. The fries were good - essentially McDonald's fries with a tablespoon of shredded parm on top, served with "special sauce". I think the main disappointment here is that the menu description implies that these are truffle fries, when in reality, no truffle flavor was detected. Nonetheless, these were enjoyable enough. To top it off, the service was unfortunately slow and unenthusiastic. One or the other would have been fine, but both? Worth mentioning. read more

I dont know what's worse, the girl that lets people in or the rude manager. We had an issue with the girl letting people in because she was letting people in before my group when we waited in line for at least 30 minutes and then straight up lie to my face and say they were already in when they begged her to let them in right in front of me. Also the girl lets people who tip her in. when we confronted her she had the audacity to lie to our faces when we literally heard the conversation and then said "well we care about our loyal customers more who spend money there every week". it's really interesting how she remembered exactly like all 20 guys that she let in. She was just very rude when she was confronted and got upset when we called her out on her lies. We called a week later to talk to the manager and he answered with the worst attitude trying to make excuses for her bs and then tried to lie and say he was by the door when clearly she wasn't talking to anyone inside. He called us condescending on the phone because we wanted to know why she treated us like this and he just kept attacking us over the phone. The manager really tried to convince us he remembers every single customer there. Like okay sir how exactly do we sign up for this? send you our headshots? Overall very rude and disrespectful. They wanted to talk about loyal customers when we've been there multiple times and have gotten booths like 2 times at least with our other friends. Very disappointed with management. read more

Food was meh. All the dishes lacked a little something. Beef Salad - too vinegar forward, not enough cheese. Lobster Flat bread - bread wasn't toast long enough and there was so much arugula you couldn't see anything. A little toss of dressing on it first and it would have made it a bit better. Tacos were missing a little burst of flavor and steak tips look Chicago style. Overall was nice atmosphere and service, but you come for food and drinks. Drinks were top notch Lance and John were rocking!! The drinks were the real deal. I was excited to try the food, we got two types of tacos ... halibut and short rib... they were tasty!! And not over or under stuffed, great ratio. The ahi tuna was perfect as a main or if you wanted to share with a friend (like me!).
