What makes us unique:
Heavy-Duty Construction: We use 5052 marine-grade aluminum with 1/8 inch hull thickness and a 1/4 inch transom.
Built to Last: Our boats feature fully welded seams inside and out, with ribs stitch-welded approximately every 6 inches.
Lifetime Warranty: We stand behind our work with a lifetime hull warranty (aluminum) for the original purchaser.
Custom Layouts: From storage benches and livewells to custom consoles and subfloors, we build the boat to fit your specific needs.
Serious Performance: Our flat-bottom hulls feature a mod-V bow designed to cut through waves while maintaining the stability required for back-lake fishing and utility work.

Goodreau Boats Ltd is rooted in a deep legacy of Canadian boatbuilding, utilizing hand-crafted designs that have been passed down through four generations. Today, under the ownership of great granddaughter (Alyssa), we continue to honor that heritage by building rugged, fully welded steel and aluminum boats right here in Ontario.
Our story is one of durability over marketing. While many in the industry moved toward thinner materials and rivets, we stayed focused on the strength of a fully welded hull—designs meant for the serious outdoorsmen who need a boat that can work as hard as they do. We don't just build recreational vessels; we create made-to-order tools for personal and commercial use that are engineered to last a lifetime. From back-lake fishing to heavy-duty industrial work, every Goodreau boat carries the pride of four generations of craftsmanship into every weld and seam.

Hi, I’m Alyssa, and I’m proud to be part of the team behind Goodreau Boats. Our family has been building boats in Ontario for generations, and continuing that tradition means a lot to me.
I’m passionate about building boats that people can truly rely on. Whether someone is fishing back lakes, hunting waterfowl, working along the shoreline, or spending time at the cottage, their boat needs to be strong, dependable, and built to last.
At Goodreau Boats, every hull is fully welded and built one at a time using heavy duty marine grade aluminum. I also really enjoy working directly with customers to design boats that fit exactly how they plan to use them.
Seeing a boat go from raw aluminum to something someone will use for years on the water is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
