There is so much to appreciate. This one feels a bit more spacious and I found myself in the store for 2 hours just taking my time looking through the aisles. Immediately upon walking in, I was enamored by their setup and selection of books. They have every genre you can think about. Some sections that caught my eye: a dedicated kids' section and a spot for when special guests come. They're also connected to Wildflower so you can come before or after a sip and bite. Changing Hands is so special because they care about community and also support second hand! Staff is eager to help you out and guide you if you have a specific book in mind. You can bring your well loved books in return for store credit and they're quite generous with the credit. They'll take your books depending on the condition and if they need stock for that book. The cherry on top- I love that I'm supporting a local bookstore. And you even get a stamp card with a discount once you've gotten it all stamped out. Their prices are also affordable, and you can choose from new or used books which is nice. Most of their used books are in pristine condition. I support Changing Hands through and through and am so glad I ran across this bookstore. If you're a book lover, you need to go!

This B&N has an impressive new non fiction and fiction sections and lots of variety to choose from! I was stoked to see a lot of very good books on display. I then wandered into the magazine section and this I think is one of the gems of this bookstore. A lot of bookstores just don't have magazine sections anymore and I like that this B&N still offers up many genres of magazines to keep you busy! I like the current event, travel, food, art, science and nature magazines on selection here! While I don't get in here too often, I do enjoy a browse here every so often. If you like magazines, this is a great spot for you. They have tons of gift selections here too and a cafe if you need a nice coffee or tea while you check out books and other items!

It's a whole vibe and one that you just can't get with a bookstore that primarily sells new books. There are some items here that are kept under glass, making me think that they might be rare or valuable. Just browsing the shelves provides endless amounts of curiosity-about the stories or information that these treasures hold. If you're looking for something specific, you might be able to ask the shop keeper for assistance, or just come and see what treasures find you. You're guaranteed to find something!

Books arrived on time however, the pick up process wasn't as straightforward as I expected. I ended up going to the center customer service desk & waiting for about 5 to almost 10 minutes. At that point, I gave up and just went straight to the line. Thankfully, when I got in line after about a 5 to 10 minute wait with only one person at the register, I was able to get access. One could argue after reading my review that I need to go to the bookstore more often... and you would lose that argument as I frequent Bookstores and read a lot more than you'd expect!! :-) Customer service was really good when I got a hold of someone however, I just didn't like the process of knowing where to go to pick up the books. It would be good to have some signage when you first walk in, letting you know what to do.

What I liked about this place was the abundance of reference books. I need to bone up on my chemistry skills from way back, so I bought a couple of older texts for just such a purpose. I also wandered into their $1 zone and found a couple of impulse buys. How can you not be impulsive when every book in that section is a buck? I found an old cookbook from "The Froog"... that's The Frugal Gourmet for those who remember back when he had a cooking show on PBS. Those who think Paula Deen was the only famous cooking television personality to be tarnished by scandal would do well to look Jeff Smith up on the Interwebs. I guess I know now why his stuff is in the bargain section... but his disappearance from the culinary scene is my shopportunity! The staff here seemed quite knowledgable. I had an interesting discussion with them about the collectibility of some of the Dungeons & Dragons manuals they displayed. I was not aware that the Deities & Demigods manual (available here for $75) was produced in two different versions, the later one omitting any Cthuhlu mythology due to legal issues). I forgot to check which versions were stocked here, but I am well familiar with this book from my childhood (not because I was a D&D player, but because I was into mythology). I had a fun time exploring this bookstore and chatting with the staff. I will return to navigate Bookmaze again sometime. If you've got some time to kill, this is a fine, quirky little bookstore in which to browse, browse, browse for bargains.

The man working had pajamas and no shoes on-- I'm not one to judge, but it seemed like he wasn't expecting us. Kind of creepy and half done. Not a very good selection and they only took like 1/8th of the books we tried to sell, for $20. It took everything in me not to get annoyed. Yes, I did take the $20, but I'm going to stick to eBay/Mercari for selling my books .
