Everyone at GoodVets was very friendly and took extra care to make sure my dog felt comfortable for his first visit.

Once again I want to thank the Doctors/Staff at Apollo Beach Animal Hospital. We discovered a tumor…read morein my 12 year old beagle, Oreo, from an ultrasound after spotting blood on his pillow. We lost our other beloved beagle, T, in April due to TCC so we were very worried. Dr. Diana did a thorough exam and the necessary blood work to ensure he had no complications prior to surgery. Dr. Melilli performed a spleenectomy on Oreo. She is also the one who operated on T. Her expertise and precision is beyond approach! Oreo's biopsy was benign, is 3+ weeks post surgery and doing great with a scar you can hardly notice. We are extremely grateful to Dr. Diana, Dr. Melilli and staff for their quick action, expertise, warmth and care of our boy.

Overpriced **Warning: Consider Your Options Before Choosing…read moreThis Animal Hospital** I do not recommend this animal hospital based on my experience. In 2020, I brought one of my cats in to be spayed. At the time of discharge, we declined the recovery shirt that was offered. We were never given the shirt, nor were we informed that we would be billed for one later. According to the hospital, we supposedly agreed to pay for it at the follow-up appointment. That never happened. For the next two years, while we continued living in Ruskin, I never received a bill, phone call, email, or any other notification that there was an outstanding balance. My phone number has remained the same since 2012, and after moving due to military orders, I still received no communication regarding any unpaid charges. Now, in 2026...six years later....I received my first phone call from the hospital stating they intend to send a **$25 charge** to collections. They claimed they had contacted me multiple times, which is simply not true. No notices or calls were ever received. Sending a customer to collections years later for a charge that was never communicated is unacceptable business practice. At best, it demonstrates extremely poor recordkeeping and customer service. At worst, it raises serious concerns about how this hospital handles billing and communication. If you're comfortable with the possibility of being contacted years after your visit for charges you were never made aware of and being threatened with collections over a $25 item you never received, then this may be the place for you. Otherwise, I recommend choosing a veterinary practice with transparent billing, timely communication, and better customer service.

As far as I am concerned, Dr Fritz has taken care of my two dogs. One had a very bad wound and her…read moreand her staff couldn't have been more concerned about his health and recovery. I called them at 9pm and was seen by Dr Fritz at 10am who then performed surgery to stitch his wound about 1pm and I had him by 4pm. Dr Fritz took so much time to go over what they had done and how to care for Teddy's wound. My Chrissie had terrible loose stool and vomiting and needed immediate attention. Again I called at 8am and we had an appointment for 10am. Dr Fritz and her staff treated my Chrissie and me with such kindness. Explained her labs and cultures results. Prescribed probiotics, medications to sooth her esophagus from the vomiting, prescribed the diet, and nausea medication. Her loose stopped within hours and when she was eating, I was told to come to her office to get an appetite stimulant. This worked within 3 hours and my Chrissie within 3 days is eating, going regularly to the bathroom and is my happy little girl. I can't thank Dr Fritz and her team enough. Thank you for being the caring vet that is so hard to find.

Luckily the wounds weren't very severe but the team was very thorough and took the time to explain everything to us and also show compassion during this difficult time. Our Frenchie, Subaru, is very lucky to have had such great care. 100% recommend Southbay Animal Hospital! Shoutout to Molly, she was so helpful and truly such a great person to us.
