I was here from 9:40 am till 12 and I had to use the bathroom and they don't have a working bathroom for customers. I was told that I had to drive to WaWa to use the bathroom. Less than 30 minutes later, a cashier named Renee threw back to the bins all the stuff that I had worked on gathering thewhole day. The worst part about this is that they blame me for not telling them to hold my cart. How was I supposed to know? This place is rude and people that works here are very inconsiderate. "The Bins" as mentioned in the Facebook Thrift groups. I had to see what the fuss was about so I went to the local Goodwill Outlet store. There are tons of blue bins and items are sold by the pound. I suspect this is the last stop for items so they are sold at an amazing price. The staff was nice and plenty of carts and parking. It's a hit or miss place. The first time I picked up a ton of Cricut supplies ($60+ worth for $8)... second time school supplies. It's not close to home so when I am in the area I'm definitely stopping in. This is not for the faint of heart. Aggressive resellers mixing in with regular folks. I didn't know about the change over in bins so when it opened up again, the resellers basically stampeded to the aisles that had been restocked. The merchandise varies from pure garbage to Coach purses. My daughter and friends found some decent clothing for a few dollars. I found an almost brand new portable playpen and mattress that retailed for $240. It was placed directly on the weigh station and I paid $13 and change. read more

I stop in from time to time but it's been very downhill lately. Tons of trash and even shoes with soles falling off. I purchased 5 coloring books which should have been .25c each. The employee decided she was going to charge me by weight so instead of being $1.25, it was 3.5lbs x $1.29/lb which is $4.51 (almost 3x what it should have been). Unfortunately I didn't realize how much because i purchased other items and didn't think about my total until way later. Not customer friendly, that's for sure. read more

UNBELIEVABLE! We stopped in on our way to get to the turnpike after visiting our son at school. Parking lot was busy and people were coming out with carts full of stuff, but when we walked in I couldn't believe what I saw! BINS?! They looked like troughs that cattle would eat at and I'm sure that's what it must look like when the store is crowded, which even with the cars in the lot it really looked dead inside. Had it been like others have said, people pushing and shoving we would never have gone in. I used to go to ts kind in Pa all the time. they would bring out big bins every 30min of new stuff which the reviews saying empty bins not coming through- that's upsetting but the entire point of doing this is that no one is organizing the clothes first - you can sift through trash- clean folded donations of brand named clothes. if you want a boutique/ then go to a boutique- they ate everywhere. employees of goodwill hsce to sort through whatever is donated by anyone and I'm sure they get gross stuff donated/ this is like being an employee except you can actually purchase items you like- they can't. You can complain about 3 things when it comes to this type of set up- not providing enough bins or providing new ones frequently enough (like 1 an hour from 11-3pm pretty standard) and if they charge too much by the pound or have bunk scales- you gotta watch some places that dont have the cart weight adjusted or you pay for the weight of your cart and that's BS. that's it. if it's super licked through and nothing nee comes out then it's whack. expect complete torn rags and trash to be inside the bins cuz jerks through trash into the donatikn bins- also if you ever see someone throwing trash into donation bins, say something to them to stop them. Maybe you'll be more aware of it now. All the complaints over this type of thrift store set up over not accommodating seniors ? concerns for COVID? Gtfoh. smh, don't shop there if your concerned. Yeah, you could get monkey pox or Covid. sure. anyone handling used items can. it's really simple- you dont have to shop there. there is no way to eradicate that problem from a thrift store and offer it at the price point of "by the pound.". Great bargains by the pound. Wear gloves because you never know how long the stuff hasn't been washed. Watch for broken glass. Changes bins every couple hours you can wait on the furniture side until they are done. No running. No pushing. Be nice. The workers are great. read more

Was in the area with the husband and decided to stop by and kill some time. Had to wait about 20 minutes before shipping was allowed. The obvious resellers were aggressive, but we went at our own pace and skimmed the bins. There was a lot of literal garbage, but we found a few older video games and a board game that miraculously had all the pieces. I was looking for used chairs that I could strip and paint for fun, so I've been haunting thrift stores looking for chairs for this project. What the heck? I had never been in a place like this before. Bins are brought out while people stand behind lines, then once they are given the OK, people bum rush the bins and rip though them, tossing things into the air. To be honest, it looked like people were looking for stuff they could re-sell and not really for personal use. I have to admit I didn't know how the system worked when I walked in, and the whole process just really threw me off. Everything in the bins looked dirty and broken and stained, almost as if they were dragged out of garbage bins. This Goodwill isn't your regular Goodwill- it's an outlet. You might wonder how the prices could be any cheaper, but they are- because you're only paying $0.99 a pound & $0.25 a book. Unlike your regular Goodwills, this location does not have anything sorted or neatly displayed. Instead all the "goods" are rolled out in huge bins that get lined up in the store. Then it's up to you to sort through everything. Once you've gotten everything you want, you roll your cart to the register & they'll weight it. You pay $0.99 for each pound. There are a few rules, although no one seemed to follow them. 1. One cart per person. 2. No running. 3. No stacking your stuff & leaving it. A tip- wear gloves. read more

You have groups that scoop up everything on the tables, afterwards they sort through it. All items are sold by the pound. New items rotate out every two hours. When new merchandise is wheeled out ...it is a MAD DASH to it! Everything is dumped into bins - and I mean everything...clothing with housewares with glasses with toys. Plan time to DIG. Many shoppers were wearing cloth gloves to protect their skin. The store is otherwise very clean and bright. Management and staff were friendly. This goodwill is terrible and there's some shady stuff going on! They cater to a few people and it made me sick. This morning I got there at 9 am. I was told Th eh switch out the bins every 2 hours and we have to go outside while they do this. The regulars don't go in at 9 am. They get there around 10 am, exactly around the time we got kicked out and they get top notch service. They were first in line to get back in for the second round. They were holding their spots with a shoe as they walked around doing whatever they wanted. The door opens, the lady let's them in and they run to a bin loaded with nice shoes, everyone else gets stopped at the door, they say so others can grab carts, but I honestly think it's because they give these few people time to take all the shoes they put in one bin for them. They knew exactly where to go. I was like 5th in line and these 2 guys had there carts full to the top with shoes before I even could get to them. They have to be paying off the managers. When I got there at 9am, there was a pair of shoes or two in every other bin and they were trash. Nothing good. You'd be lucky to find 5 pair between all the bins, but when these guys get there, we all had to leave an hour earlier than we should have and wait outside so they were strategically first in line and luckily were able to find 2 carts full of shoes in a matter of 2 minutes? Coincidence? I think not! A friend of mine who frequents the store said don't even bother, they always get all the shoes and the workers don't say anything to them at all. They take them all and go over into a corner and remove the ones from the cart they don't want, we get there slop if we are lucky enough to have it. They wouldn't let anyone else pick thru the stuff, they made everyone get in line, but when they are there, there's always magically bins of shoes and they always magically get them. This has got to stop. Upper management or someone in charge needs to make this fair. I need shoes for my family because I'm poor, they are selling them obviously The first round there were no shoes, the second round, there were 2 or 3 cart fulls of good brand name shoes, but unfortunately, unless you were one of the scam artists that more than likely pay them off, you weren't getting no shoes at all. You should really hire a private detective to go in and watch what's happening to your donations. It's so unfair! The second round we weren't asked to leave for over 2 hours and there were more people inside. It's because these men needed time to look thru the cart fulls of shoes that were put out so generously for them. It still amazes me how before they got there, there were a couple of beat up pairs of shoes in every other bin, I was one of the first inside when they opened, I seen it all go down. But when we get told to leave so they can switch bins at 10 am, the first people in line were these guys and they were able to get 2 cartfulls lol. This place is a joke and they think people are idiots. As you can tell by the reviews, people are all seeing it. The higher employees in the place and the door lady are definitely in on all of this and they need to be stopped. There should be a limit of the amount of shoes you are allowed to get. It's really pathetic, why not make it 10 pairs per customer. That's more than enough shoes and they also need to tell them if they put it in there cart, they bought it. You can't take all the shoes and then slowly decide which ones you want to keep when there are many other people who would like the opportunity to look at them As welll. It still amazes These workers don't say A WORD to them. It needs to end and goodwill org. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Fix this! Not to mention, the first round there were hardly any shoes in any bins, they must get there at a certain time, set it up with certain employees and by the second round all the shoes go in one bin for them. You have to see this to believe it. I've never in my life seen something so criminal like happen right directly in from of my face. It's not normal what they are doing, it's actually a crime and they need to pay for what they are doing. (The cashiers are very kind) I don't think they have anything to do with it. If it doesn't stop people need to start taking their donations elsewhere I'm not going to stop until this gets taken care of. Not for the faint of heart. This some Treasure Of Sierra Madre prospecting going on here. Competitive and occasionally miraculous. I love the hunt. Some fellow shoppers are enjoying digging, some are tools who want to dominate everything while disrespecting the goods. Plenty of stuff has been at other area Goodwill locations, some has possibly come straight here. I refer to it as "last stop before the landfill". Some stuff is already trashed: headless figurines, LPs in mysteriously soggy jackets, a picture someone put a fist through. Some stuff is weird: vape juice, a used filter, a sample pack of dry dog food that has come open and the contents are intermingled with everything in the bin. But then there's unexpected delights. Something that you were going to have to pay retail for somewhere perched at the top of a bin in like-new condition. There's also some pieces of furniture that are already priced. Books are a quarter. Everything else is "by the pound" (which is what I call the place). For someone like me who has a bit of a shopping problem, an hour and a half spent hunting and splashing out $14 and some change is far better than the damage I can do in the same time in a retail establishment. And far more interesting. If you're looking for clothes and shoes (footwear is $1.49 lb instead of 99 cents), you want to hit the middle section and rear right of the store first. If that's not your thing, hit the side sections. Yes the bins get rolled in and out throughout the day, but sometimes you'll see some of the same stuff come right back out mixed with a few new pieces in the mix. When you're done shopping, take things out of your shopping cart that aren't 99 cents a pound (books, glassware), roll your cart onto the weighing surface, find out how much it added up. Cash or credit. You get handed bags to put your haul in and roll out. Finding a few treasures here and there keeps me coming back. read more

Went to buy a very large glass votive yesterday for the regular glass price of .49 a pound, instead.of the general merchandise price of .99 a pound but when I put it up on the scale the cashier said "that's not glass!" I chuckled even though I didn't understand her joke but I didn't want her to feel embarrassed. But then I looked at her and saw she was completely serious. I replied back that it was "most definitely glass" and proceeded to show her to which she said "I can't see through it, so it's not glass, NEW store policy". I stared for a moment dumbfounded , it was a clear glass votive but the inside had been painted so you couldn't see through it. As I stood there and the stupidity of the situation sank in my disbelief turned to anger and I called my son over and told him to put it back and we left. I've been shopping here 3-5 times a week since the first year they opened and it has progressively gotten worse every year but everytime I think they couldn't get any worse they seem to take it as a personal challenge. read more

It is 31 degrees out and they are making a group of us stand outside for 20 mins while they change out new merchandise while another group of customers gets to sit inside where its warm. For years they used to let everyone wait inside the store in an area that was out of the way of the workers but for no good reason they now kick out anyone buying something and make them wait in the cold. This was my first time at a Goodwill outlet. Everything is thrown into bins. Things will not be placed in a particular bin so jeans may be in a bin with purses, an air conditioner unit and a toaster. For 99 cents a pound what more do you want. Once they are ready for the new bins to come out everyone circles around the new bins and once they are ready people run towards the bins. Different kind of experience. The people that were used to this place had gloves on to search through the bins. I would recommend bringing gloves. There are no fitting rooms. read more

Unfortunately, my visit was not a pleasant one due to the unprofessional behavior of the staff in particular Joseph Vaugh and the manager Dawn Monzo. I was in the store for a total of four hours and the gentleman named above approached me a total of three times. The first time I was accused of "running" in the store. I am an older woman in my mid-fifties and have crippling arthritis, I do not run anywhere. The second and third time was again for "running" and misplacing my cart. As per the employee Joseph Vaugh I was asked to leave the store and could not make any further purchases. I go to the goodwill for need not want and the things I couldn't purchase that day were items I needed. I suffer from anxiety attacks and depression and hearing that young man have no respect in the tone he spoke to me, I felt extremely humiliated. I then decided to speak to management and as approached the office and knocked on the door to my surprise the managers' response to the misconduct of her staff was to shut the door on my face. I am a humble middle aged Hispanic woman and I never experienced so much mistreatment from a facility that is supposed to help the community. On the day I visited the store there was no courtesy, respect, or general care of the public who visits this store. I hope to hear an apology, for no one should be treated that way. I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem and will wait until of October before seeking help from a consumer protection agency or the Better Business Bureau. Last summer I been couple of times in this "Blue Bean" store and I could find some clothing I can use , like cashmere sweater with small holes I could fix, silk skirt, Couch small bag in excellent condition, some new items with tags on it. This January I went in Goodwill Outlet again, what a different story! In front of cashiers they organized "Boutique" !!! with items they fishing out from beans before they put it out for people . In so called "boutique" they sell anything new with tags on it and other clothing items what they think will sell for more money , like very shabby fur jacket ,Coach bags - most of them has a price like $35.00 - $45.00. Leather coat - probably 30 years old for more then $20.00 ! They probably do no know you can buy the leather jacket or coat in regular Goodwill for $12.99 in much better condition, and you have bigger selection there - because people do not buying that stuff anymore! It is much less people shopping there than last year - because nothing to buy anymore , unless you need cheep old jeans or men's pants and sport jackets , also plenty shabby t shirts , artificial Christmas trees , broken stuff, empty boxes, so it looks like a lot of merchandise! Like others have said, "regular" shoppers can be extremely aggressive and resort to cussing and bullying to intimidate you. At most Goodwill outlets the "rules" are that aggressive shoppers (whether it's verbal or physical in nature) are to be "disciplined" but I just witnessed the most atrocious abuse by a group of regular shoppers (who are resellers and go there EVERY day) attack a young girl who got to the item they talked about getting first. They followed her around, cursed her and she ended up telling the manager who then approached the aggressor. The aggressor continued to harass the young girl and she was literally shaking and in tears, the aggressor's "team" members then proceeded to call her names and then go to the director to complain about the young girl. The director basically pointed the finger at the young girl even though she was bullied and attempting to defend herself. I think this is due to the director/manager's relationship with those resellers. I think this is so wrong and I have never been so turned off by the greed of these people. I called corporate offices and they told me that my witness statement would only be forwarded to that same director of this Bellmawr outlet which defies the purpose since she is clearly one sided. I really felt so bad for this girl. No one deserves to be treated that way. The way in which the matter was handled by the manager and director was BS, they allowed several people bully and be aggressive which is a safety issue. Good place to look for bargains don't really like how they throw glassware in the bins can be dangerous. . If the other goodwill stores would price their items better there wouldn't be broken china dolls with 19.99 price tags in the bins. Everyone is very nice that works there. Be prepared to get shoved out of the way for used shoes. I've been coming to the outlet for over a year and I've found some GREAT stuff. But the behavior there by other customers is becoming increasingly aggressive and rude. The majority are clearly resellers, who will spend the day waiting for bins to change. When they do change (which isn't very often anymore, maybe 3 times a day?), they will push their way to the desirable bins without any consideration. Particularly the shoe bins, which they will sweep completely into their carts to sort through later. Or they will use plastic containers to shove people aside and claim a bin. Sometimes things get dangerous. One time recently a woman threw a box out of her way into the area I was browsing. It was full of glassware, which spilled out and broke. She didn't even give it a second glance. There are also a lot of VERY small, barely supervised children running around, adding to the chaos. Once the dust settles you can still find some decent things, but most of the clothing/shoe bins are cleaned out immediately. The pushy, cutthroat customers are getting first crack at everything. Can't management do anything about this? Shopping there has become a really unpleasant experience, and a lot of regulars who aren't willing to fight to shop are being driven away. read more

I do like to go here but a few things bother me. First is inconsistent pricing. Depending on the cashier, you get charged extra for clothes and/or electronics...Some cashiers are friendly and well trained, others are nasty and inconsistent. Pretty odd since the pricing guide has been the same for years. Second, the scales are definitely not accurate..If you use a cart you will surely get overcharged. Third, some of the regulars are allowed to be aggressive just because they are friendly with the staff. They will yank an entire bin knocking people people back just to grab something. I saw a huge guy ( looked like he was off his meds) decide he didn't want to use his cart ( so as not to be disadvantaged during the crazy grabs session) he shoved his cart back to the door area so hard that it slammed into a woman about 60. He didn't appologize and looked at her as if it were her fault for not getting out of the way. A regular that knew him walked over to him to say he should appologize to her, and he screamed in her face, "oh are you gonna start with me now" He was clearly a regular too, and had his accomplice there to grab for him. There is a group of guys there that will knock you on your a** for a lego brick. I think it's sad that this store feels they have to let this type of bully remain one of their regulars. He should be banned for a period of time to learn, this store is not his own backyard and allowed to treat others any which way he choses... or don't go out thrifting without your meds!
