I was just checking to see if they had a TV table for my daughter's new apartment. She wanted to get her 55-inch TV off the floor, and they actually had two to choose from. Both were nice, but I went with the cheaper one. The employee explained how it works: rip off the tag, pay for it, put a "sold" sign on it, then drive around to the donation drop-off area where they bring it out and load it in your car. Super easy, exactly like they said. Everyone I talked to was kind, upbeat, and genuinely helpful. Not sure why this location has some bad reviews, because that wasn't my experience at all. Goodwill's always worth a quick stop, you never know what you'll find, especially if you like thrifting or just don't want to spend a ton.

Instead, they are only giving me a 40% discount on all items with the designated color tag for the supposed 60% off. I have two receipts from different Goodwill stores, and I did this on purpose to verify if the computer at one of the stores was malfunctioning, because I dared to question the cashier and she told me that maybe her computer was faulty. But I realized that the same thing happened at another Goodwill store.

There are some things the store does very well, and some areas that are clearly struggling. First, the space is much larger than the previous location. There is plenty of room for merchandise, and they seem to have many kind volunteers working there. The furniture and home goods section is organized fairly well. However, the shelves are extremely packed with merchandise, which may be related to the pricing. Many items feel overpriced for a community thrift store, which likely slows down how quickly things move off the shelves. The layout is also a bit confusing. It almost feels like two completely separate stores. Furniture and home goods are on one side, while clothing is in a different area. What makes it more unusual is that you cannot pay for clothing on the home goods side, or home goods on the clothing side. You also have to go outside to enter each section. It seems like this setup requires twice as many volunteers and makes the shopping experience less convenient. The pricing on the clothing side is actually very good, but the organization is quite poor. I found high-end men's shirts, such as Brooks Brothers, mixed in with women's clothing. There were several other similar examples of items being misplaced, which made browsing more difficult. I have visited multiple times before writing this review because I hoped that, after the expansion, the shopping experience would improve. Unfortunately, the store actually felt more organized in its old location than it does now.

That in itself told me that one hand knows what the other is doing, and it's obviously really organized. Second, when we went in the thrift store side, it smelled clean. On that side, they were super nice too, and my eBay purchase pick up was super smooth. Purchases that you make their go toward providing food for people who need services from the food pantry. Even the eBay purchases go toward that. I feel better about a purchase if something good comes out of it for somebody else too. That's important to me and my family. I highly recommend this essential part of the community!

Interesting that we find the same faces that venture inside and scavenge for items both new and old. I also like the holiday spread of Halloween costumes as you enter the storefront. It is very spacious, and like most Goodwills, the majority of the floor is given over to clothing. It has four dressing rooms and plenty of parking. They have a lot of new clothing to sell as well as used. They have a large donation drop off area. They also sit right next to White water car wash.

Since I stage homes for sell, I needed a few places to pick up some staging items on the cheap. My work keeps me mostly North so I decided to drop into the Storehouse Thrift store in Round Rock. When you walk in, it looks like a major dump, but you're instantly greeted by this super cool, friendly, red-headed man with a loud voice. Be warned that no pricing is marked so you have to ask said man for the prices. He just makes it up as he goes along. You don't even have to be dressed shabbily for him to give you a great deal either! So, you can go in there and fill an entire bag full of books (good, old, hard-backed books donated by libraries) for like $2! I use books when I stage so it's nice to get them so inexpensively. The last house I decorated, I filled the guy's shelves with self-help and Christian books and did it for only $2 bucks. If you knew this guy you'd think that was really funny (the self help and Christian books, not that I only spent two dollars). You can also buy fake greenery for almost nuthin'! I send clients there all of the time to buy those large, silk, ficus trees for $5-$10. On occasion, you can even find some neat knick-knacks! I love me some knick-knacks. I would have to say this has become one of my favorite thrift stores. I mean, I still frequent Goodwill, but at least I can go into the Storehouse and not leave feeling like I have contracted lung cancer due to all of the second-hand smoke oozing from the pores of the staff. They had a pretty great selection of clothing, most of it in great condition. I found my daughter a pair of nice jeans and a cute top. They also have some toys and books for sale. Prices are very reasonable. One of the best parts is that they have a play area (gated) so your kid can have fun while you shop. Brilliant. My daughter was super excited about this (we just dragged her through the antique mall nearby where she couldn't touch any of the collectible toys, haha). The owners are really nice and helpful. We found out that they also work with local organizations that connect them with families in need. Awesome. Great experience and will definitely be returning. If you're here thrifting, check out the Hutto Antique Mall as well as Second Chance Resale (in the same shopping plaza).

It's tucked away in the middle so it's a bit hard to locate at first. The parking is a bit odd cause you'll more than likely have to park directly in front of another business- and while that sounds normal, once you see it, you'll know what I mean! When you enter Tiny Texan Exchange, it is a small shop but it is full of merchandise! There is a growing selection of infant, toddler, small child, and maternity clothes. As well as toys, accessories, baby gear, and a few other bits and bobs. My son, unfortunately, did not fit anything that had to offer at the time (pre-grand opening) so we opted to purchase a couple toys! The owner was there, working hard, and holding great conversation the whole time! She loves to yap- a woman of my own heart! We look forward to selling items and hopefully purchasing clothing in the near future. At this time, they are only offering store credit for sold merchandise but for most that works out perfectly!

One star off bc our cashier, who was young and brand new was kind of apathetic when I asked her a question she didn't know the answer to. I got a "I dunno... it's literally my third day. You'll have to ask my manager".... instead of getting her manager. mkaaay... So after an awkward silence, I pointed out an older woman whom I saw walking around and opening dressing rooms, asked if that was her manager, and THEN she called her over so I could get my question resolved. My husband and I complained about her to each other on the way out. besides that, good experience. Would return.
