I visited the store for the first time on May 25, 2018 and met Brad who assisted me and my sister with our donation. He was welcoming, humble, funny, gracious and charming. I must say I did not expect this kind of customer service. I left with a smile on my face that lasted all day. I have not received this kind of customer service in a very long time. I really like this place, and I was pleasantly surprised when I first visited it and saw how clean it was (considering how dirty the previous tenants were). I generally just go to look, but I almost always find a couple of books that I like. I got a Virginia hiking book and a couple of weeks later a Virginia mountain biking book. I'm not into fiction, but they have plenty of those, and not just romance books. The shoes look OK for the most part, but I haven't been able to find anything in my size in a style I like. I bought a photo frame from this goodwill and when I took off the back to put a photo in it was COVERED with dead bugs. Do they not check items before putting them on the shelf? It was disgusting to clean and I'm disappointed I payed for this. read more

Went there last Thursday to buy books for me and my three children. They had a large brown box full of books for us to look through. It was hard searching for books at the bottom of the box so we could only go through the top portion. My youngest son picked out two books he liked and I found a few myself. We paid and left the store. When I got home my 8 year old son came up to me with his new book and showed me a pornographic cd that was wedged inside the book!!!!!! OUTRAGEOUS! The back of the book was also saturated in some sort of brown fuzz. I was disgusted! I called the store asap and asked to speak with a manager. The guy I spoke to took my complaint as a joke and said "no refunds". They only refund clothes and electronic items. Why would you not check your products before making them available for purchase!? Doesn't seem right to me! Worst customer experience ever... worst shopping experience ever! Will never bring myself or my kids back to this thrift store. read more

This is my favorite thrift store in the area so far. I've been all around Alexandria, Springfield, Burke, and Fairfax. They have great items at great prices. Lots of furniture. Great kids area. read more

The Assistant manager there is awesome. Her name is Tracey. She is always engaging and very helpful. Ask her anything and she usually knows where it is and if they have it. All the staff is nice she just makes things happen for this store. Sam in furniture is also a great asset to this store he is friendly and also very helpful. the store is clean and well organized they have everything from soup to nuts, high end merchandise, paintings, household goods, stuff is in excellent condition oftentimes i find stuff new with tags on it. and reasonably priced read more

Very rough with items being donated. I brought 10 pairs of shoes ranging from never worn to lightly used all packed in their original shoe boxes for donation. Person accepting donations DUMPED the box containing the shoe boxes into a large bin and all the shoes fell out of their boxes like trash. Other boxes with breakable items were just dropped on the ground without any care. Very disappointed and saddened by this. Will never make a donation here again. read more

I think Macklemore is really onto something! I ended up spending $26.00 --a little more than his $20-- but it was still a bargain, b----! :) This was my first visit to a Goodwill store as a shopper and not as a donor, and it left me pleasantly surprised. I didn't know what to expect. No weird thrift store smells here, clean and very organized, and dressing rooms that have real doors so you aren't left wondering if anyone is peeking at you while you're trying on clothes. I was in the store for 3 hours and the entire time the staff was very polite and helpful and could be seen organizing the clothing racks continuously and interacting courteously with the customers. I was looking for deals on clothing and found a brand new pair of DKNY Soho jeans with the tags still on them for $5.98! Whoa!!! I ended up purchasing a same-season Ann Taylor sweater, a same-season The Limited pencil skirt for $1.98 (!!!) and a few other casual items for weekend wear. In total I got 7 new items of clothing for $26.00! I will be back. I toured the furniture and housewares section but didn't purchase anything, some of the items here seemed a bit tired, but, it is a thrift shop after all. There was a gorgeous wood bed in the window (sadly with a "sold" sticker on it) that I would have snapped up in a hot second if it were still available. In sum, no pink suits or gator shoes or giant coats with fringe to be seen, and I didn't see anything my grandpa would wear. I'll be back. read more

You know that overwhelming stale clothes smell that you encounter at a lot of thrift stores? There was no trace of it here. Everything was properly sorted and easy to find. The staff was VERY efficient with putting the clothes back. Maybe a little too efficient - I had a pair of shoes sitting outside of my fitting room and in a blink of an eye, they were back on the shelf. There was a decent selection and I look forward to going back and visiting other Goodwills to see how they compare. The service was also really great too, which I think I have come to expect at Goodwill stores. read more

This store is large, and busy. I wanted to buy a dining table and asked the manager whether they could remove the table legs. He cheerfully agreed, and did it immediately. I picked it up at the back door, and kind young men assisted me while assuring me they could not accept a tip. I was very impressed by the quality of service that was provided. read more

This thrift store is well-managed and even better, well-priced. It also doesn't have much of that musty used-goods smell. The cost of a pair of slacks is $6, a top or sweater is $5, jeans are $7, and everything from shoes, kitchen goods, furniture, CDs, books, and usable technology is also available for half or a fraction of what it costs at other discount stores, albeit not thrift stores. This is a great thrift store for finding a good fit of pants, ranging from S-M-L, and everything is marked with a sticker. Indeed the adage runs true: one man's recycling is another man's purchase. It's actually a great deal of fun for someone like me, who is ALWAYS looking for a bargain. read more

I go here sometimes. It's your typical Goodwill store and better than some of the others in the area. I found a few good jackets here that were in pretty good condition. Friendly staff and no hassle as with some of the other Goodwill's I've been to recently. If you are a thriftier like myself it's worth a look. read more

This is a terrific thrift store! They have very nice clothing at good prices. Their selection of vinyl records and CDs usually include some very good ones for collectors. Electronics are steals and do not go to an office supply store before checking to see if this store has what you need. The employees are very nice and the people taking the donations in the back are helpful as can be. read more
