The flow of the entrance and exit from the drop-off area works really well since it's in the back of the building. Sometimes you have to wait in line a bit, depending on how much people are dropping off. Only one car can fit in the carport area at a time. Employees are always nice and helpful. As soon as you drive up, a bell rings signaling an employee that you arrived. They come out with a big rolling cart for you to put your donations in. Very easy process. They ask if you want a receipt, then you're on your way! I haven't shopped inside for many years, so I can't speak to the pricing or condition of items. I used to ride the MAX to work in downtown Portland, so I would hit the Goodwill for books to read on the way. They always had a nice selection and prices were great. Grocery items all seemed to be of questionable origin, freshness, and quality, and their prices didn't really seem to be any lower on most of them than what one would find at a conventional grocery store. I was amused by the "hardware" section. The tools were of laughably poor quality (far worse than Harbor Freight fare), and the prices were far too high for their (complete lack of) quality. Their apparel section has among the strangest fashions I've ever seen, and I suspect that none of them will actually ever sell. One curiosity, though, was a selection of rugs. If you're in Vancouver, and need a rug, this may be worth a visit.

Whomever curates the collection here has an eye for the theatrical and flamboyant; many of the items here could easily double as Halloween costume components. Thankfully, that's not the case here: there's something for everyone, from casual to formal, grounded to glamorous, simple to sophisticated.
