It's not just a place selling second-hand stuff, you can find some really nice antiques and collectibles in there. The shelves are crowded and items are somewhat grouped by category, but it's easy to browse and the staff are accessible and friendly if you need help finding something in particular. Parking is right out front in a small gravel lot. They also have a pretty active Facebook page where they highlight sales and new items available in the store. I just knew there had to be something special in there waiting for me! I opened the door and immediately noticed the large amount of inventory crammed into this little store. There was so much to choose from, I didn't even know where to start. No lie! I ended up starting towards the front of the room and eventually worked my way to the back. After browsing around for some time, I discovered everything from full tea sets to old photos, tons of jewelry, some awesome wall mirrors (with a touch of paint they'll be good as new!), records, and so much more! The fella that runs the placed is named Bob and he was so sweet. He has his nameplate on the desk next to the register, which made it really easy for me to know who to ask for when I was ready to check out. I assured him that I'll be back on Saturdays after the farmers market and he said he's almost always there (unless he's visiting Florida, haha). After about 15 minutes of looking around, I found a handful of cool jewelry pieces that I wanted. I ended up narrowing my option down to a really pretty blue pendant that simply needed a chain to be turned into a bohemian style necklace. For only a few dollars, I practically had a brand new piece of jewelry that could go with just about anything in my closet. Absolute score! I can truly say that I'm eager to make this a more regular stop on my weekend trips to the market. While I'm not overly fond of the pricing, I do understand it--because for the perfect, high-quality pair of vintage jeans, I'd absolutely pay the price. I had traveled from out of town to pick up some unsold items on the last day of my contract. One dress in particular had a security sensor attached -- which signaled to me that they understood its value -- but when they removed the sensor, it sprayed ink all over the white fabric. Despite the damage, they offered me just $22 for the dress, which I later sold on Poshmark for $100 the same day I picked it up. When I voiced my concerns, I was encouraged to speak with someone at the front desk, but the response was dismissive -- simply stating it would be treated as a markdown sale. There was no accountability, and it was clear there would be no resolution. I didn't bother to fight the way they seemed happy to conduct business, as this was my first experience. It was a disappointing experience that showed a lack of care for consigned items at Second Chance. I've learned my lesson and will not be returning. I'd recommend sellers explore other platforms or shops that treat high-value pieces with more respect and offer fairer returns.

If you'd like to sell items, there are very clear guidelines on their website. I have sold items a few times and love that I can get a bit more if I choose to get paid in store credit as opposed to cash. Any items that aren't selected for the shop get donated, which is awesome.
